INSTALLING THE MOUNT TO A WOOD STUD WALL
User Supplied Parts: Three lag bolts (5/16-inch diameter x 2-inch), to attach the mounting bracket to the wall.
1. Use a stud finder to locate and mark the edges of the wood stud in which the mount attaches.
2. Center the mounting bracket between the edges of the stud, and use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the mounting holes.
3. At the three marked mounting hole locations, drill 7/32-inch diameter holes 2-inch deep from the wall surface into the wood stud.
4. Attach the wall bracket to the wall securing it to the wood stud using 5/16-inch diameter x 2-inch lag bolts as shown in Figure 1.
INSTALLING THE MOUNT TO A SOLID CONCRETE OR CINDER BLOCK WALL
User Supplied Parts: Three sleeve anchors (ITW Red Head Dynabolt Sleeve Anchor HN-1624), to attach the mounting bracket to the wall.
1. Level and use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the mounting holes on the wall.
2. At the marked hole locations, drill 5/16” diameter holes 2.25-inches deep and clean dust and debris from the holes.
3. Attach the wall bracket to the wall using 5/16-inch diameter x 2.5-inch sleeve anchors as shown in Figure 2.
a. The recommended sleeve anchor for the mounting hole diameter is ITW Red Head Dynabolt Sleeve Anchor HN-1624.
b. Insert a Dynabolt sleeve anchor through each bracket hole. Then insert the anchors into the pre-drilled holes until the sleeve washer and head is
flush with the surface of the wall bracket and the bracket is tight against the wall.
c. Use a wrench to turn the sleeve head clockwise two to three turns to anchor the sleeve in the wall.
WARNING:
The wood stud must be at least 2-inch x 4-inch.
The studs must be covered with a maximum 0.5-inch thick layer of wallboard or plywood.
Always attach the mounting bracket to the wall in a vertical position. This mount is not designed to be
mounted horizontally.
WARNING:
Do not install hardware into mortar joints in filled or non-filled cinder block walls.
Concrete must be a minimum of 3600 psi or 25 Mpa density.
