Denitions of J3 Pins (for connection of EM3000V2/V6)
Pin Signal Function
PIN 1 TRIG
Trigger for reading. When the output of low level lasts for 20 ms or longer, the
reading will be triggered.
PIN 2 RESET
Reset signal input. When the output of low level lasts for 100 μs or longer, EM
3000 will be reset. If out of use, the pin should be suspended.
PIN 3 LED
LED indicator output. When LED indicator need be used, extra driving circuit is
required. If out of use, the pin shoud be suspended.
PIN 4 BUZ Beeper output. If no sufcient current for beeper,
extra driving circuit is required.
PIN 5 GND -
PIN 6 NC -
PIN 7 NC -
PIN 8 TX TTL, cannot be connected with the serial port data from computers directly.
PIN 9 RX TTL, cannot be connected with the serial port data from computers directly.

mode; under high level, the system will come into running mode. If no need
for this function, the pin should be suspended.

EVK3000V2 Hardware Installation Process
1. Fix the engine on EVK3000V2
2. Connect the engine and EVK3000V2 with exible cable
3. Connect EVK3000V2 to PC
If USB connection is adopted, please follow the below steps:
Install the USB driver through the ancillary CD

Connect EVK3000V2 to the USB port on the PC via USB cable

When EVK3000V2 is electried, the red indicator on EVK3000V2 will be lighted and an
»
indicating sound like "Didi" will be heard, which means EVK3000V2 is in working state.
Press the trigger and start to read barcodes.

If RS232 connection is adopted, please follow the below steps:
Connect EVK3000V2 to the serial port on the PC
»
Connect RS232 cable and the power adapter
»
Insert the power adapter into the AC outlet

1. Install the USB driver
2. Install and operate Quickset
3. Connect the device
When the RS232 connection is choosed:
Click PC COMM Setup(C), pop-up COM SETUP dialog box, select COM;
