Before You Begin
WARNING: Risk of personal injury. Metal surfaces are sharp
and can cause severe cuts. Use gloves and handle sink edges
carefully.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Prior to installation, unpack the new sink and inspect it for
damage. Return the sink to its protective carton until you are
ready to install it.
Inspect the drain and supply tubing. Replace if necessary.
Due to the nature of undercounter installations, Kohler Co.
recommends that undercounter sink installations be performed by
trained and experienced installers.
Use these instructions for self-rimming and undercounter
installations. Follow only the instructions that apply to your
installation.
Install so future removal from underneath the countertop is
possible without damaging the countertop.

1. Preparation
NOTE: You may require different, more specialized tools to install
this sink to countertop materials other than wood or wood
composites.
Measure the thickness of the countertop.
Determine the threaded shank length of the faucet.
Compare the measurements to verify that the faucet will fit on
the countertop as required. If the faucet will not fit, you will need
to select a different faucet or countertop.
For Self-Rimming Installations
Check the desired sink location for clearance between the
backsplash, faucet, sink, and cabinet.
Cut along the template line where indicated for self-rimming
installations.
Trace around the template on the countertop with a pencil.
Centerlines are provided to help align the opening.
For Undercounter Installations
NOTE: You may require different, more specialized tools to install
this sink to countertop materials other than wood or wood
composites.
NOTE: Install the sink so future removal from underneath the
countertop is possible without damaging the countertop.

installation.
Position the template on the countertop to ensure clearance
between the sink, faucet and backsplash.
Trace around the template on the countertop with a pencil.
Centerlines are provided to help align the opening.
For All Installations
Mark the faucet hole centerline on the countertop.
NOTE: A minimum distance of 3 (7.6 cm) is required between the
faucet centerline and the edge of the undercounter cut-out. A
minimum of 1-7/8 (4.8 cm) is required between the faucet
centerline and the edge of the self-rimming cut-out.

2. Install the Sink
Self-Rimming Installations
WARNING: Risk of personal injury. Metal surfaces are sharp
and can cause severe cuts. Use gloves and handle sink edges
carefully.
Cut out the countertop opening by carefully following the pencil
line traced from the template.
Temporarily position the sink in the countertop opening. Verify
the fit and position.
Remove the sink from the countertop.
Drill the faucet holes according to the faucet installation
instructions.
Install the strainer to the sink according to the strainer
manufacturer’s instructions.
Apply a bead of sealant around the entire underside of the sink
rim between the stud and rim edge. Follow the instructions listed
on the sealant label.
Place the sink into the cut-out hole and position.
Assemble the appropriate clip and wing nut to the stud and
tighten.
Draw the rim down firmly to the countertop. Do not overtighten.
Remove any excess sealant using a damp cloth.

Ensure there are no gaps between the sink rim and the
countertop.
Allow the sealant to cure for at least 30 minutes before
proceeding.
Connect and tighten the trap to the strainer, and complete the
water supply connections to the faucet according to the
instructions packed with the faucet.
Run water into the sink and check for leaks.
Clean up with a non-abrasive cleaner.
Undercounter Installation
WARNING: Risk of personal injury. Metal surfaces are sharp
and can cause severe cuts. Use gloves and handle sink edges
carefully.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not cut, drill, or sand
the countertop while it is positioned over the fixture.
Cut out the opening by carefully following the pencil line traced
from the template.
For Wood Countertops
Mark and pre-drill the wood screw holes at the locations shown
on the template.
Waterproof any exposed areas of wood.
For Marble/Stone Countertops
Position the countertop upside down on foam padding to protect
the surface. Mark and drill 3/8 holes 5/8 (1.6 cm) deep at the
locations shown on the template.
Use a setting tool and hammer to secure the anchors.
For All Installations
If the countertop has not been installed, install it at this time.
Drill the faucet holes according to the faucet installation
instructions.
Install the faucet to the countertop according to the faucet
manufacturer’s instructions.
Install the strainer to the sink according to the strainer
manufacturer’s instructions.
NOTE: Do not use adhesives or adhesive sealants.

Apply a continuous bead of quality sealant to the top surface of
the sink rim where it will contact the countertop. Follow the
instructions listed on the sealant label.
NOTE: The screws provided should be used on countertops with a
minimum 1 (2.5 cm) thickness. For thinner countertops, use the
appropriate anchors and fasteners (not provided).
For wood, wood composite, and marble countertops, install the
sink to the countertop with the clamps and screws provided. For
other countertop materials, refer to the countertop manufacturer’s
instructions for recommended fasteners.
Position the sink squarely under the cut-out before tightening the
clamps. Draw the sink rim up against the countertop until it is
snug. Do not overtighten.
Immediately wipe away any excess sealant, and fill any voids as
needed.
Allow the sealant to cure for at least 30 minutes before
proceeding.
Connect and tighten the trap to the strainer, and complete the
water supply connections to the faucet according to the
instructions packed with the faucet.
Run water into the sink and check for leaks.
Clean up with a non-abrasive cleaner.
