1 - BATTERY INSTALLATION
Insert4 batteriesAAA,1.5V(NOTINCLUDED)insidethebattery
compartment.
2 - CONNECTING LINE CORDS
-Connectthecurlycordtothehandsetsocket.
-Connecttheplugattheendoftheleadtothetelephonesocket.
3 - WALL MOUNTING
Tokeepyourhandsetinverticalposition,slideout,turn
aroundandslidebackinthewallmountinghandsetclip(whichcanbe
foundinthebaseunit,justbelowwheretheearpiecelocates),this
ensurethatthehandsetstaysfirmlyinposition.

SETTING UP SOLAR4CID
1 - RINGER HI/LO/OFF
Theringerlevelswitchislocatedontheundersideofthebaseunit(lift
thebaseunittogainaccesstotheswitch).Settheswitchto‘OFF’
positionifyoudonotwishthetelephonetoring,otherwiseleavethe
switchin‘LO’or‘HI’positiontoadjusttheringlevel.Outgoingcalls
canstillbemadewiththeswitchsettothe‘OFF’position.
2- LANGUAGESSELECT
Theunitsupport16languages,including English1/2,Greek,
Australian,Czech,Slovack,Turkish,Spanish,Nederland,French,
German,Poland,Sweden,Danish,FinlandandNorway.
InthestateofOFF-HOOK,doasthefollowingsteps:
-Press thenOKbuttonandholdthem.
-Press
button.Theunitenterslanguagessetting.
-Press
or buttontoselectthelanguage.
-PressOKbuttontoconfirmandexit.
3 - SET TIME
InthestateofOFF-HOOK,doasthefollowingsteps:
-Pressandhold
buttonthen .
-LCDwilldisplays“SETTIME”.Theunitentersthetimesetting
function.
-Press
or buttontoselectthecorrectnumber.
-PressOKbuttontoconfirmandmovetothenextdigit.
-Press
buttontoexitthesetting.
Note:Whenyoureceiveafirstcalltothisunit,timeanddatewillbe
automaticallyset ifyouhaveCaller IDservice.

Inordertouseyourcallrecordstodial,thetelephoneneedto
distinguishbetweenlocalandlongdistancecalls.Youneedto
programyourareacode.
InthestateofOFF-HOOK,doasthefollowingsteps:
-Pressandhold
button.

button. LCD willdisplays“SET AREA CODE”.The unit
enterstheareacode &LDScode.
-Press
or buttontoselectthecorrectnumber.
-PressOKbuttontosetthenextdigit.
-Whentheareacodesettinghasbeencompleted,press OKbutton,
LCDdiplays“SETLDSCODE”.Theunitenterslongdistancecode
setting.
-Press or buttontoselectthecorrectnumber.
-PressOKbuttontosetthenextdigit.
-Press
buttontoexitthesetting.

1-ANSWERINGINCOMINGCALLS
Whenanexternalcallisreceived,thetelephonewillring.Totakethe
callliftthehandsettoanswerthecall.
2-DIALINGANUMBER
Liftthehandset,awaitthedialtoneanddialrequirednumber.The
numberwillbeshownontheLCDdisplay.Oncompletionofthecall,
carefullyreplacethehandsetinthecradle.
3-LASTNUMBERREDIAL
Liftthehandset,awaitthedialtoneandpressthe button.The
previouslydiallednumberwillbeAUTOMATICALLYREDIALLED.
4- RECALL,*&#BUTTONS:
Theseareusedwiththenewservicesprovidedondigitalexchanges.
Fordetailspleasecontactyournetworkoperator.
5-MUTEBUTTON
Ifyouwishtospeakprivatelytosomeoneelseintheroomwithout
yourcalleroverhearingpress the
buttononetime.Yourcaller
maystillbeheardduringtheMUTEoperation.Toresumenormal
conversation,pressonceagainthe
button.
6- STORING TELEPHONENUMBERS
-Liftthehandset.
-Press
button.
-Dialthetelephonenumberyouwishtostore.
-Press
button.
-Pressoneofthedirectmemorybuttons, M1,M2,M3orVIP.
-Replacehandset.
Note:ifyouwishtochangeanumberinamemorylocation,simply
followtheinstructionsforstoringanumber .Enteringthenewnumber
willautomaticallyerasethepreviousnumber.

-Liftthehandsetandawaitthedialtone.
-PressappropriatedirectmemorybuttonM1,M2,M3orVIP.The
storednumberwillbedialledoutautomatically.

calls.Thelightwillcontinuetoflashuntilyoureviewthecalls

1- MESSAGEWAITING
Ifyouhavevoicemailservicefromyourtelephonecompanyanda
recordermessageisleft,thescreenwilldisplaymessagewaiting.
“MSG”willthenappearintheupperleftcorner.Theiconwillremain
untilyouhaveretrievedyourvoicemailandtheMESSAGE
WAITING will save as a call.
Note:Thisfunctionshouldbesupportedbyyourtelephonecompagny.
2- TOTAL &NEW CALLS
Thisshowsyouthetotalandnewcallstobereviewed.Inthis
example,youhaveatotalof10callswhichincludes2new calls.
3- NO CALLS
Whenall callshavebeendeleted.Thedisplaywillshow“NOCALL”.
4 - PRIVATE
Ifthecallerhasexercisedtheoptiontopreventhisnameandnumber
frombeingsent,“PRIVATE”willbeshownontheLCD screen.

5 - REPEAT CALLS
Ifacallcomesrepeatedly, the display will show “REPEAT”iconin
theupperrightcorneroftheLCD.
6 - END OF LIST
Thismessageisdisplayedwhenuse or buttontoreachthe
toporendofthecallhistorylist.Iftherearenocall,thenLCDshow
“END OF LIST”.
7- OUT OFAREA
Willdisplaywhensomeonecallsfromanareawherethetelephone
companyisnotofferingthecalleridentificationservicesoranareathat
isnotyetprovidingnameandnumberdeliverytoyourareaviathe
longdistancenetwork.
8-BATTERYLOWINDICATOR
Ifthereislowbattery,thebatterylowiconwillturnon.

1-REVIEWYOURCALLRECORDS
Use or buttontoscrollbrowsethroughtthecallerlist.Atthe
endof the call recordlist, youwill seethe “ END OFLIST” message.
Presseither
or buttontocontinue.
2- SAVE CALLRECORDS
Savespecificcallsbydeletingoldorunnecessarycallrecords.
Note:Yourphonestoresupto80callsrecordsbeforethememory
becomesfull.Whenthenextcallcomesin,theoldestrecord
automaticallydropsoffandmakesroomforthenewcallrecord.
3-DELBUTTONANDFUNCTION
Inthestateofoff-hook,use or buttontoselectthenumberyou
wishtoremove, press
button,theLCD will show “DEL? ” then
press
buttonagaintoremovethisnumber,pressotherbuttonto
exit.Ifpress
buttonforabout6seconds,theLCDwillshow“ALL
DEL?”thenpress
buttontoremoveallnumbersandtheLCDwill
show“NOCALL”,pressotherbutton to exit.
WhenyourCallerIDphoneisinusemode,thetimerwillstartafter
pressing
button,thenpress buttonagaintostoptimer.
4-USING THECALLBACKFEATURE
Dial the dialled number,the unit can store upto 30dialled
numbers.
-Inthestateofon-hook,press OKbuttononce,thenuse
or
buttontoselectthenumberyouwanttodialout.
-Pickupthehandset,thenpressOKbuttontodialthephonenumber
automatically.
Allows you to automatically dial the number of the person who
hascalledpreviously.
-Liftthehandset,listenforthedialtone.
-Selectthecallerthatyouwanttocallbackbypressing
or
button.
-PressOKbuttontoautomaticallydialthephonenumberofthecaller
shownontheLCDpanel.
Note:thecallbackfeaturewillnotdialthephonenumberifthe
selectedcallrecordphonenumberisblockedoritisnotavailable.
Ifthelineisbusy,hangupthephonetogetadialtoneandthenpress
OKbuttonagain.Youmayalsopress
buttontodialthelast
numberdialed.
