Amperes SS6401

The Amperes SS6401 is a music source selector, an ideal solution when there is a limitation to the number of inputs at a mixer for a music source or whenever there is a requirement that only a single music source is fed to the mixer, which is an application most likely to be used in public address installations. It allows you to easily switch between different audio sources, such as CD players, cassette players, tuners, and auxiliary devices, and route the selected audio to a mixer or other audio system.

The SS6401 has four RCA inputs for connecting your audio sources and one RCA output for connecting to your mixer or other audio system. It also has a DC input port for connecting a 24V DC power supply, which is required to operate the device.

The above schematic illustrates a typical installation
which separates BGM sources from other audio input
media such as microphones, etc in a PA installation.
All BGM outputs connected to SS6401 is in mono mode
although most BGM players have stereo outputs.
Thereby connect either L or R outlet to the SS6401 for
each source using RCA jack, otherwise, combine the L
and R using a combiner jack.

NOTE :
For long transmission from selector output, convert the signal to balance signal using line signal convertor.
For audio source with stereo output, connect either left or right output signal, or use L+R signal combiner jack.
Operating This Unit Is Simple And Straight Forward.
1. To select the desired input source, press "SELECT" button and the LED shall lit according to the input source. Press until
the LED lit at the required position of the BGM source.
2. Adjust the input volume at the mixer which is connected to SS6401 until the desired output level is reached. The position of
the knob should remain as such even if the BGM source needs to be changed.
3. To switch off the BGM source, simply press "OFF" button and the LED indication shall move to the OFF position.
4. The volume position at the mixer does not necessary be turned to the OFF position when the whole system is shut down.
Remaining at the preset position shall undo the occasional adjustment of volume to obtain the required sound level.
NOTE :
Different BGM source shall have different output level ( eg CD and Cassette Player ) and different brand of same playing
media shall differ in output as well as impedance value. As such, the unit operates at optimum performance when all the BGM
sources are within the parameters as specified in the technical specifications.

performed by unauthorized personnel or service centres.
This warranty covers only repairs and replacement of defective parts ; cost and risks of transportation as well as
removal and installation of the product from the main system are for the account of the purchaser. This warranty
shall not extend to the replacement of the unit.
This warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, neglect, accident of the product as well as using the
product with power supply voltage other than shown on the product, or any other power supply source / adaptor
not recommended by the manufacturer.
This warranty does not cover damages caused by fire, earthquakes, floods, lightning and every cause not directly
related to the unit.
This warranty does not include any indemnity in favor of the purchaser or the dealer for the period out of use of the
unit; moreover the warranty does not cover any damages which may be caused to people and things when using
the product.
This warranty certificate is valid only for the described product, and is not valid if modifications are made on this
certificate or on the identification label applied on the product.
This warranty covers all the material and manufacturing defects and is valid for a period of 12 months from the
date of purchase or for a longer period in countries where this is stated by a national law. In this case, the
extension is valid only in the country where the product is purchased.
Amperes Electronics Sdn Bhd is not obliged to modify previously manufactured products under warranty if the
design changes or improvements are made.
