Dynamic IP
Dynamic IP addresses can cause conflicts when trying to connect to DVR(s) on a high speed
internet connection. With new router technology (DDNS), it allows you to overcome this
problem. DDNS lets you assign a fixed host and domain name to a dynamic Internet IP
address. It is useful when you are hosting your own DVR, website, FTP server, or other server
behind the Router. Before using this feature, you need to sign up for DDNS service at
www.dyndns.org or www.tzo.com. (Preferred routers: Linksys BEFSR41 V3 or DLINK DI624
or any router that offers DDNS.
