Installing the oven
Make sure that the dimensions of the
niche where the oven is installed and the
dimensions of the cut-out at the bottom
are correct and exact.
The following regulations must be taken
into account during assembly and
installation:
SGWA-Directive G1 - Gas
installations in buildings
SGWA-Directive L1 - Liquified gas
installations in the household, in
commercial buildings and in the
industry
Cantonal instances regulations - VKF
fire safety directive "Thermal devices
2015“ Gas directive of the SSIGE G1
1. Remove or open the flap at the lower
part of the oven to access the space
where the connection will be made.
5
2. Place the oven in front of the niche
where it will be installed.
3. Secure the gas hose to the
appliance. The connection should be
gas tight and secured with a thread,
for example hemp rope.
WARNING!
The electrical installation
should be secure and it
cannot pose any risk of
electrical shock. The
screws securing the gas
installation and the
installation itself must
not be touched.

A
Make sure that the gas hose does not
become crushed or bent in any way
during the installation.
Installing burners
1. Remove the screws (1) and (3) from
the transport safeguards on the left
and right side (2) and remove the
transport safeguards.
2. Loosen the four screws (4) next to
the four burners.
CAUTION!
The screws to secure
the horizontal support
are necessary when the
hob is installed with a
wooden surround frame.
3. If necessary, loosen the eight screws
(5) on the two cross bars and lift the
cross bars up. Tighten the screws
again firmly.
5
5
4. Lift the burner unit to the height of the
worktop. Burners on upper corner of
the cooking zones should achieve
the height of the worktop.
6
5. Slide the unit along the worktop.
Fasten the unit in the cut-out using
the six screws (6) provided. Use
three screws at each side.
In case of a 490 mm deep cut-out,
move the unit forward along the
worktop until it stops.
In case of a 504 mm cut-out, push
the unit to the end and then move
it back towards yourself by 7 mm.
6. Put the hob back on the cooking
surface and adjust the burners. Make
sure that the hob does not rise above
the surrounding worktop surfaces.
Installing the metal burner
plate
1. Place the hob in the cut-out.
2. Secure the hob in place using the 4
screws. Place the screws in the
proper holes and secure them with
spinlock nuts.
3. The 4 burners have to be positioned
in their places without any pressure,
with a very slight pressure towards
the top.
4. Secure the burners into their places
on the burner plate with 2 screws
each.
5. Screw the burner plate to the worktop
with a screw in each side, going
through the oval holes for the pan
support.
The screws have to be screwed in
very tight in order to secure the
connection.
6. Install the burner crowns, burner
caps and the pan support.
Make the final check whether the
appliance functions correctly and the gas
installation is safe.
Installing the glass burner
plate
A) Installation on top of the
appliance.
1. Trace the dimensions of the hob on
the worktop with a pencil or a water-
soluble felt tip pen. Lift the hob and
put it away.
2. Place the rubber self-adhesive seal
inside the drawn outline,
approximately 2 mm from the edge.
The seal must stick to the surface of
the furniture and there cannot be any
gaps in the outline.
7
CAUTION!
Do not stretch the seal.
Cut the pieces of the
right size.
3. Put the hob back on the cooking
surface and adjust the burners. Make
sure that the hob does not rise above
the surrounding worktop surfaces.
Make the final check whether the
appliance functions correctly and the gas
installation is safe.
B) Installation onto the worktop
1. Prepare a cut-out in the worktop
according to the dimensions shown
on the pictures 1 and 2. Do not
exceed the tolerance margin.
2. Carefully clean the worktop around
the cut-out and the cut-out edges.
3. The rubber seal (A) has to be glued
onto the surface where the worktop
and the hob touch to prevent
vibrations and protect the glass
against mastic.
A
B
4. Remove the four screws of the metal
traverse and the two side holders
and their screws.
5. Carefully put the hob glass into the
opening. Make sure that all sides
have the same distance to the
worktop and the hob glass is aligned
with the worktop.
6. Place the glass hob carefully in the
cut-out and then level it making
allowance for the seal around the
edges. As the actual dimensions of
the glass hob and the cutout may
vary, the size of the joint also can be
different by minimum 2 mm.
7. Place the burner cap, burner crown
and the round profile onto burner
base so the ignition candles and
thermocouples extend through their
respective holes. Push the burner
head down firmly until it clicks into its
place correctly.
8. Secure the round profiles, with 2
screws each, onto the burners in the
cooking surface. In this way the hob
is secured to the worktop.
9. Put in place and adjust the burner
crowns and the burner caps. Place
the pan supports in the appropriate
indentations.
Make the final check whether the
appliance functions correctly and the gas
installation is safe.
