andcookedfood,makingicecubesandstoringfrozenanddeep-frozenfood.Forbestuseofyour

Somemodelsareprovidedwithicepacks:

removethemfromthebackofthedrawer(C)

and position them next to each other inside the

drawer.

INSTALLATION

Ensurethattheapplianceisnotdamaged.

Anytransportdamagesmustbereportedtothedealerwithin24hoursofdeliveryoftheappliance.

Installtheapplianceinadry,well-ventilatedplace,awayfromheatsourcessuchasstoves,

cookers,directsunlight,etc.Ifthisisnotpossible,thefollowingsidedistancesmustberespected:

betweenapplianceandcoalorparaffinstoves:minimum30cm

betweenapplianceandgasorelectriccookers:minimum3cm.

Itisalsopossibletoplaceinsulatingsheets(soldinspecialistshops)betweentheappliance

andthestove.Theappliancemustbeinstalledonastableandflatsurfaceasindicatedinthe

instructionsgivenontherearofthetemplateprovidedwiththeappliance.

Waittwohoursbeforeswitchingthefreezeron:inthemeantimecleantheinteriorwithasponge

dampenedinasolutionofwaterandvinegar,andfitanyaccessoriesprovided.

Theconnectionsocketmustbeaccessibleevenafterinstallation,sothattheappliance

canbeunpluggedifnecessary.Ifthisisnotpossible,connecttheappliancetothemainssupply

bymeansofatwo-poleswitchwithminimumbreakdistancebetweencontactsof3mm,fittedatan

easilyaccessiblepoint.



Ensurethatthevoltageindicatedontheappliancedataplatecorrespondstothemainsvoltage.







Whentheapplianceispluggedin,ifthethermostatknobisnotsettosymbol

,thegreenand

redLEDs(1)and(2)()lightup.ThegreenLEDremainsalightandindicatesappliance

operation.TheredalarmLEDremainsalightuntilthecorrectoperationtemperaturehasbeen

reached.Itlightsupagainwhenthetemperatureinsidethefreezerrisesduetofrequentor

prolongeddooropening,andwhentheappliancehasbeenloadedwithfreshfoodtobefrozen.





Thethermostat()isusedtoadjustthetemperatureinsidetheappliance.Position

indicatesthattheoperationoftheapplianceisinterrupted.Theidealstoragetemperatureof

frozenfoodforalongtimeis-18°C.Innormalconditions(ambienttemperaturebetween+20°C

and+25°C),itisadvisabletoadjustthethermostatknobtoamiddleposition.Toobtaincolder

orwarmertemperaturesthan-18°C,turnthethermostatknobtothehighestsettingortoposition

”.Ambientairtemperature,theamountoffoodstoredandthelocationoftheapplianceand

thefrequencyofdooropeningcanaffectfreezertemperatureadjustments.Thesettingofthe

thermostatmayhavetobevariedtoallowforthesefactors.Tocheckthetemperatureofthefood

stored,placethethermometer(ifprovided)underthefood;ifitisplacedonthefooditwillindicate

thetemperatureoftheairthatdoesnotcorrespondtothatofthefoodstored.



Thisapplianceisequippedwithanacousticalarm(ifpresent)whichsoundswhenthedooris

leftopen.



Theamountoffreshfoodwhichcanbefrozenin

statedontheratingplate.

Donotplacehotfoodinthefreezer;never

re-freezeevenpartiallydefrostedfoodstuffs.

Wrap foods in aluminium foil or cling film or place

theminspecificcontainers.Ensureallpacks

placedinthefreezerhavealabelindicatingthe

dateoffreezingandcontent.Intheeventofa

powercut,thefreezercompartmentwillmaintain

thecorrectstoragetemperatureforabout15

hours;however,itisadvisabletoavoidopening

thecompartmentdoorduringsuchperiods.



Whenpurchasingfrozenfoodproducts,makesurethatthepackageisintact,i.e.itisnotswollen

andhasnodamppatches.Placethefrozenfoodsinthefreezerimmediatelytoavoidexcessive

temperatureincreasesduringtransportcompromisingfreshness.Inanycaseproductsmustbe

usedwithinthedateindicatedonthepacks.



Defrosttheapplianceatleastonceayearorwhentheiceonthewallsreachesathicknessof

about3mm.

Inbetweenonedefrostingandthenext,removefrostfromtimetotimefromthefreezergridsusing

aspatula.Donotusesharporpointedtools.Anydamagetotheapplianceresultingfromfailure

toobservetheseinstructionsisnotcoveredbytheguarantee.Defrosttheappliancepreferably

whentheamountoffrozenfoodisminimalorwhentheapplianceisempty.Thefrozenfood

mustbewrappedinsheetsofnewspaper(oracover)andkeptintherefrigeratororacoolplace.

Adjustthethermostatcontrolknobtoposition

 •thedomesticmainsswitchisnotdisconnectedandthatthefuseshavenotblown

Ifthepowersupplycablemustbereplaced,unplugtheappliancefromthemainsand

replacethecablemakingsurethatnewcableisconnectedcorrectly.If,afterperformingthe

abovechecks,yourappliancestilldoesnotworkproperly,contacttheAfter-salesService

(contactinformationcanbefoundintheguaranteeandtelephonedirectory);explaintheproblem,

specifyingthemodelandserialnumberofyourappliance.









 Refitbothintoplug.



Thefusecovermustberefittedwhenchangingafuseandifthefusecoverislosttheplugmust

notbeuseduntilacorrect

replacementisfitted.

Correctreplacementareidentifiedbythecolourinsertorthecolourembossedinwordsonthe
