Driving: Be aware of road and traffic conditions. Keep
the volume at a low level.
Moisture: Do not expose the product to water or
excessive moisture. This could cause electrical
shorts, fire or other damage.
Parking: Parking in direct sunlight can produce very high
temperatures inside your vehicle. Give the car interior a
chance to cool down before starting playback.
Proper Power Supply: This product is designed to oper-
ate with a 12 Volt DC, negative ground battery system.
Protecting the Disc Mechanism: Avoid inserting any for-
eign objects into the slot of this player. Failure to observe
this precaution may cause malfunction of this
unit.
Repairs: Contact our customer service representa-
tives. Do not attempt to disassemble or adjust this
product yourself.
Installation:
The unit should be installed in a horizontal
position.
Cleaning: Use a soft cloth with some purified water to
clean the screen. Do not use any cleaner or chemi-
cal to clean the screen. Usually, a dry cloth will do.
Warnings:
Be careful not to drop or apply undue pressure to the
front panel of monitor. If the screen cracks due to mis-
use, the warranty will be voided!
The driver should neither watch the display nor
operate the system while driving.
Watching the display or operating the system will
distract the driver from looking ahead of the vehicle
and can cause accidents. Always stop the vehicle
in a safe location and use the parking brake before
watching the display or operating the system. In
some states and countries, passengers are also pro-
hibited from watching the display.
Never install the product in a location where it inter-
feres with your field of vision.

Use this Product Safely

Entertainment Center Functions and Locations
1. USB Slot: Insert a USB drive to play videos, view
pictures or listen to music. Use the controls on the
MV1055 or remote control to access the files on
the drive.
2. SD Card Slot: Insert a SD card with the contacts
facing towards the roof to play videos, view pic-
tures or listen to music. Use the controls on the
MV1055 or remote control to access the files on
the SD card.

3.5mm Auxiliary Audio/Video Input Jack: Plug-in
a device with a 3.5mm audio/video input plug
to
play videos, view pictures or listen to music. The
MV1055 will not control the device so use the con-
trols on the input device to access files.
4.
3.5mm Headphone Jack: Plug-in headphones with a
3.5mm jack to hear the audio.
Note: Headphone will only work when the internal
speakers are activated. (see page 7)

Disc Slot: Insert a disc into the slot with label facing up.

: The audio signal is converted to an
infrared light and transmitted to the headphones.

Press to select between sources:
DVD, AV1 (internal audio/video RCA inputs) or
AV2 (external 3.5mm audio/video input jack).
9. Dome Light Door Button: When the vehicle’s door
is open the dome lights automatically turn on. To
turn off the dome lights when the vehicle’s door is
open press the button.
10. System Menu Button: Press the button to
access the TFT Menu Setup features.
11. Remote Control Sensor: Point the remote control
at this area to remotely control the MV1055.
12. Dome Light Button: Press the button to turn
on or off the dome light.
13. Disc Eject/TFT Menu Adjustment Button: Press
the button to eject the disc from the unit.
Note: For TFT Menu Setup button function refer
to the TFT Menu Setup section of this manual for

Mode Button (AV/TV DVD): Press to select between
sources: DVD, AV1 (internal audio/video RCA inputs)
or AV2 (external 3.5mm audio/video input jack).

7. Eject Button : Press to eject the disc.
8. Play/Pause Button:
Press the button to pause
play, press again to resume play.

Backwards and Forward Play Buttons: Use
these buttons to change the play speed to x2, x4, x8
or x20 either backwards ( ) or forwards ( ).
10. DVD Menu Button: Press to access the DVD’s
menu features.
11. Navigation Buttons: Press to navigate in menus
up, down, left or right.
12. Enter Button: Confirms the selected item.
13. Return Button: Returns to previous menu in MP3
mode.
14. Disc, SD Card and USB Mode Selector: Press to
select between DISC (DVD/CD), CARD (SD card)
or USB (USB drive) mode.
15. DVD Audio Button (R/L): Changes the language
on multi-language movie disc.
16.
Volume Buttons: Press the VOL + to increase the
volume or press the VOL - to decrease the volume.
17. Mute Button: Mutes the volume.
18. Repeat Button: Press to repeat chapters, titles,
tracks and discs.
19. Stop Button: Press to pre-stop disc play. Press
the play button to resume play where the disc
play was stopped. Press the button twice to stop
disc play then press the play button to resume
play from the beginning of the disc.
20. Next and Previous Selection: In the movie mode
pressing these buttons will select the next or pre-
vious chapter. In the music mode pressing these
buttons will select next or previous track/file.
21. Setup Button: Access the System Setup menus.

Display Button (DISP): Displays source information.
23. Program Button: Programs play sequence.
24. Subtitle Button: Accesses movie disc’s subtitle
languages.

Title Button: Displays title information if available.
26. Zoom Button: Enlarges or reduces the size of
picture.
27. A-B Button: Record a selected section of a movie
or music to play repeatedly.

TFT Menu Setup
TFT Menu Setup:
1. Press the button on the MV1055 to enter the TFT
Menu Setup screen.
2. When the menu appears on the screen press the
button to select the menu item: Picture, Volume,
Option, System and Clock.
3. Press the MODE button to select the sub-menu
items.
4. Use the and buttons to adjust the sub-
menu item.
5. After approximately 10 seconds of no button activ-
ity the TFT Menu Setup screen will disappear.

Audio Control
Playing Audio Through IR Headphones:
In the TFT Menu under the Volume sub-menu make
sure the IR setting is IR-A. (IR-A setting is for
MovieVision wireless headphone, HP-400)
Note: Audio will not play through the MV1055
internal speakers or the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Playing Audio Through the Vehicle’s Radio:
1. In the TFT Menu under the Volume sub-menu
make sure the FM setting is on one of the avail-
able radio frequencies not presently being used
by a radio station. (87.7, 87.9, 88.1, 88.3,
88.5, 88.7,88.9, 106.7, 107.1 or 107.5MHz)
2. Tune in the vehicle’s FM radio to the frequency
selected in the FM settings sub-menu.
Note: Audio will not play through the MV1055
internal speakers or the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Playing Audio Through the System’s Internal
Speakers or 3.5mm Headphone Jack:
1. In the TFT Menu under the Volume sub-menu
make sure the IR and FM setting are set to OFF.
2. Use the volume control on the remote to adjust
the volume level.
Note 1: When a headphone is plugged into the
3.5mm jack the internal speakers will be muted.
Note 2: Audio will not play through the vehicle’s
radio or through the wireless headphones.

Playing a Movie Disc
Inserting a Disc:
1. Press the power button to turn the unit on.
2. Insert a disc into the player with the label on the
disc facing upward.
3. The disc will automatically load and start playing.
Ejecting the Disc:
Press the eject button on the system to eject
the disc. You can also use the eject button on
the remote control to eject the disc.
Pausing the Disc:
Press the pause button on the system pause
disc play. Press the button again to resume disc
play. You can also use the pause button on the
remote control

Accessing the DVD Menu Screen:

Mode Selection:
To select the DVD source press the MODE button

Backward and Forward Play Buttons:
To play the disc backwards press the button
and the disc will play in reverse at 2 times normal
playback (x2), continually press the button to
select x4, x8 or x20 reverse play. To play the disc
fast forward press the button and the disc will
play at 2 times normal playback (x2), continually
press the button to select x4, x8 or x20 fast
forward play. Press the pause button at any
time to stop fast reverse or fast forward play.

Display Button:
Press the DISP button during movie play to display
the following information in this order for most discs:
Title Elapse, Title Remain, Chapter Elapse, Chapter
Remain and Display Off.
Subtitle Language:

changes. The selection of subtitle appears at the top
of the screen.

Direct Chapter Selection:
To directly select a chapter use the numeric pad on
the remote control to enter the number of the chapter
you want to select. For example: If you want to go to
chapter 7 press the number 7 on the remote control
the unit will automatically switch to chapter 7.

Playing a MP3 File
Inserting a Disc:
1. Press the power button to turn the unit on.
2. Insert a disc into the player with the label on the

Note: To remove the disc press the eject button.
Inserting a USB Drive:
1. Press the power button
to turn the unit on.
2. Insert a USB drive into the USB slot. Note: If the
USB drive does not fit, flip it over and try again.
3. The USB drive will automatically load and start
playing.
Note: To remove the USB drive pull the drive out
of the slot.
Inserting a USB Drive:
1. Press the power button to turn the unit on.
2. Insert a SD Card into the USB card slot with the
notch facing to the left until it clicks into place. Note:
If the SD card does not fit, flip it over and try again.
3. The SD card will automatically load and start
playing.
Note: To remove the SD card press on the card
until it clicks, then remove the card.

Repeat Play Selection:
To record a section of the movie to play repeatedly
press the A-B button once, “Repeat A-” appears
on the screen. Press the A-B button again to con-
cluded your selection. The section of the movie
will play continually. Press the A-B button again to
cancel this feature.
Zoom Selection:

Each
time the button is pressed, the magnification
increment changes in the following order: 2X,
3X, 4X, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 then Off.

MP3 Interface Screen:
The MP3 media (Disc, USB drive or SD card) con-
tains folder(s) with files inside the folders. These
files can include music tracks, photos and/or videos
(compatible MPEG1, MPEG2 and DivX files). Use
the icons at the bottom of the screen to select which
type of files you want to access.
Note: If an icon can not be select the unit has deter-
mine that kind of files is not accessible.
Mode Selection:
1. Select the DVD source by pressing the MODE
button until “DVD” appears on the screen.
2. Press the SD/USB button on the remote control.
A screen will appear with 3 selections: DISC,
CARD and USB.

File Repeat Function:
Press the REPEAT button to select from the follow-
ing repeat functions:
REP 1 = Repeat one file continuously.
REP DIR = Repeat every file in the directory
continuously.
REP ALL = Continuously repeat every file.
REP OFF = Repeat function is off.
Direct File Selection:
To directly select a file use the numeric pad on the
remote control to enter the number of the file you
want to select. For example: If you want to go to file
7 press the number 7 on the remote control the unit

1. Press the PROGRAM button on the remote control
to enter the programming screen.
2. Under the “T” column enter the folder number.
3. Under the “C” column enter the file number.
4. When you have finish programming your play list
use the navigation buttons , , and to
highlight the “PLAY” button at the bottom of the
screen. Then press the ENTER button to start your
programmed play list .

Auxiliary Audio/Video Inputs
Internal Auxiliary RCA Inputs (AV1):
1. A device must be connected to the RCA connectors
coming from the MV1055.
2. Press the MODE button until “AV1” appears on the
screen.
3. Use the controls on the connected device to control
the playback.
3.5mm Auxiliary Input (AV2):
1. Plug in a device with a 3.5mm audio/video output
into the MV1055.
2. Press the MODE button until “AV2” appears on the
screen.
3. Use the controls on the connected device to control
the playback.

Dome Lights Operation
Dome Light Switch:
Press the dome light button to turn on and off
the dome lights in the MV1055.

Dome Light Door Switch:
When the vehicle’s door is open the dome light
comes on automatically. To turn off the dome
lights when the door is open press the dome light
door button to turn the dome lights off.
IR Repeater
The audio signal is converted to an infrared light
and transmitted to the headphones (purchased
separately). Refer to the owner’s manual included
with the headphone on how to adjust the volume to
suit the listener’s taste.
Note: For optimal performance a clear line of sight
is required between the MV1055 IR repeater and
the headphones.

Wire Harness:
Red Wire: Connect the red wire to a +12 volt
power wire that is turned on and off by the position
of the ignition key.
Black Wire: Connect the black wire to the chassis
of the vehicle using a ring terminal and self-tapping
screw or bolt.
Audio/Video RCA Connectors:
Audio/Video Output: Connect to an external monitor.
Audio/Video Input: Connect to an external source,
for example a DVD player, video camera, video
game, etc.
Wire Leads:
Yellow Wire: Connect the yellow wire to a constant
+12 volt wire that is NOT turned on and off by the
position of the ignition key.
Black Wire [Negative Door Lock Trigger (-)]:
Connect the black wire to the common trigger wire
coming from all door pin switches.
Note: If the blue wire (positive door lock trigger) is
connected the black wire has no connection.
Blue Wire [Positive Door Lock Trigger (+)]:
Connect the blue wire to the common trigger wire
coming from all door pin switches.
Note: If the black wire (negaitve door lock trigger)
is connected the blue wire has no connection.
Green Wire (FM Transmitter Antenna): Do not
connect this wire. Lay this wire across the of the
roof making sure is does not come into contact
with any metal parts of the roof.

1. Mount the Bracket:
Carefully plan exactly where to mount the bracket.
Also plan where the wires are going to run once the
bracket is mounted to the ceiling of the vehicle.
2. Mount the Main Unit:
Feed the wires through the opening in the bracket.
When attaching the main unit to the bracket with
the supplied screws make sure no wires or connec-
tors get trapped between the mounting bracket and
main unit.
Note: Damage may occur if connectors are force
up into the main unit.
3. Install the Trim Cover:
Snap the trim cover on to the main unit.

ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Magnadyne Corporation or its authorized agents will within 1 year from the date of sale to you,
repair, replace or refund the retail sales price of said product or any part thereof, at the option of the
Magnadyne Corporation or its authorized agents, if said product or part is found defective in materi-
als or workmanship, when properly connected and operating on the correct power requirements
designated for the specific product. This warranty and Magnadyne Corporation or its authorized
agents obligations hereunder do not apply where the product was; damaged while in the posses-
sion of the consumer, subjected to unreasonable or This warranty does not cover the cabinet
appearance items or accessories used in connection with this product, or any damage to recording
or recording tape, or any damage to the products resulting from improper installation, alteration,
accident, misuse, abuse or acts of nature.

TO ANYONE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES OR CLAIMS EXCEPT
THOSE ACCORDED BY LAW. NO EXPRESSED WARRANTY OR IMPLIED WARRANTY
IS GIVEN EXCEPT THOSE SET FORTH HEREIN. NO IMPLIED WARRANTY SHALL EXTEND
BEYOND 1 YEAR FROM THE DATE OF SALE.
