3 Battery Maintenance
POC-IPSM90CS3 User Manual 8
3.1 Regular Use
Instructions for maintaining the battery packs and charging station
1. Charge all new battery packs fully (100%) before first use.
2. If a battery pack is over-discharged, causing the PC or connected device to shut
down, the battery must be fully recharged within 48 hours (2 days) to maintain
the battery life.
3.2 Battery Storage
Instructions for storing the battery packs or intelligent power system.
1. Always fully charge (100%) new battery packs before storage.
2. Before storing used battery packs or leaving them idle, recharge the battery
pack to full capacity (100%).
3. For battery packs that are left idle or in storage for long durations, perform a full
recharge every 3 months.
3.3 Troubleshooting
If the battery packs fail to charge or the battery status LED indicators remain off,
follow the steps outlined below.
Check that the power adapter is connected to the charging station’s DC-In
socket.
Check that the battery packs are installed correctly (the battery pack should be
fully inserted in the battery slot).
Check whether the battery pack is fully charged. To do this, remove the battery
pack and press the battery capacity indicator button (circled in red below) on the
battery pack to determine the charge level.
The number of illuminated LEDs indicate the battery charge level.

4 Operating and Safety
information
POC-IPSM90CS3 User Manual 10
4.1 General Safety Guide
For your own safety and that of your equipment, always disconnect the power supply
(holding the plug not pulling on the cable) and remove all battery packs from the
POC-IPSM90CS3 charging station for any of the following:
The power cable or plug is frayed or damaged
Any substance is spilled on the equipment
The equipment has been dropped or damaged
The equipment needs servicing or repair
To clean the equipment
To remove/install any components
4.2 Thermal Management
To protect battery packs from overheating, use/charge them in accordance with the
instructions provided in the user manual.
4.3 Disconnecting the Power
The only way to completely disconnect the power supply is to unplug the power
cable. Ensure that at least one end of the power cable is within easy reach to enable
unplugging when necessary.
Warning! 1. Temperatures that are too high or too low may damage the battery
packs.
2. Do not place the POC-IPSM90CS3 charging station on a pillow or
other soft material when powered on as the material may prevent heat
dissipation, causing the system to overheat.
Warning! The power adapter cable is equipped with a 3-wire grounding plug (e.g.,
a plug that features a third grounding pin). This plug will only fit a
grounded AC power outlet. If you are unable to insert the plug into an
outlet because the outlet is not grounded, contact a licensed electrician
to replace the outlet with a correctly grounded outlet. Do not ignore the
purpose of the grounding plug.
Warning! 1. Never push objects of any kind into the openings of the equipment.
This may cause fire or electric shock.
2. Never place anything on the equipment before powering off.
3. Never power on the equipment if any of the internal or external com-
ponents have been removed.
4. Using the equipment when open or missing components may damage
the equipment.
