rubber
eyecups
are
pressed
against
the
skin
repeatedly
over a prolonged
period,

inflammation

suspicious
symptoms
occur,

Do
not
leave
any
plastic bags (from
the
product packaging)
within
the
reach
of
young children. A young child
can
accidentally suffocate or choke
with
a plasticbag.
Never
disassemble,
recharge
(except
Nicad
batteries),
or
short
circuit
the
batteries.
Also, do
not
leave
the
batteries
in
high
temperatures
nor
toss
the
batteries
into
a fire. Doing so
can
cause
a fire
or
explosion.
Do
not
mix
old
and
new
or
different
types
or
brands
of
batteries.

The

stabilizer
requires
batteries
to
operate.
Use
two
size-AA
alkaline,
lithium,
or
Ni-Cd
batteries.
Install
the
batteries
as
shown
on
the
battery
chamber
cover.
Press
the
image
stabilizer
button
and
check
that
the
lamp
lights.
-Other
type
of
AA size
batteries
are
not
recommended
due
to
their
low capacity.

back
the
binoculars

performance

minimum

fatigue,
adjust
the

between

eyepiece
lenses
to
suit
your
eyes.

Look
through
the
binoculars

angle

the
lens
barrel
until
the
left
and
right
image
fields overlap.
When
adjusting
the
width
between
the
eyepiece
lenses
to
suit
the
width
of
your
eyes, look
at
a
distant
object.

obtain
a
sharp
image,
adjust
the
diopter
to
compensate
for
any

difference
in
eyesight
between
the
left
and
right
eyes.

With
your
right
eye closed, look
through
the
left eyepiece
with
your
left eye.
Turn
the
focusing
ring
until
the
target
object is
in
sharp
focus.
2. Next, close your left eye
and
look
through
the
right
eyepiece.
Without
moving
the
focusing ring,
turn
the
diopter
adjustment
ring
until
the
same
target
object is
in
sharp
focus.

When
you
hold
and
look
through
the
binoculars,
the
image
may
be
shaky
and
difficult
to
see
due
to
your
hands
shaking
the
binoculars.
Use
the
image
stabilizer
to
steady
the
image.
The
image
stabilizer
only
operates
while
the
image
stabilizer
switch
is
pressed.
When
the
Image
Stabilizer
operates,
the
lamp
lights.
To
turn
on
the
Image
Stabilizer,
hold
down
the
Image
Stabilizer
button
and
check
that
the
lamp
lights.

image
stabilizer
is
effective
for a
variety
of
subjects.
The
image
stabilizer
can
also
be
used
from
a
moving
car
or
train.

extreme
conditions,
such
as
a
rocking
boat

image
stabilizer

able
to
compensate
effectively.

the
batteries
run
low,
abnormal
noise

vibration

This
is
not
a
malfunction

-Pressing
the
image
stabilizer
switch
without
any
batteries
installed
will
release
the
vari-angle
prisms,
making
it
difficult
to
see
the
viewed
image.

Cautionary
Notes
(1)
Never
look
at
the
sun

bright
light

binoculars.

binoculars

environment

condensation

develop
on
the
surface
and
internal
parts.
To
prevent
condensation,
first
put
the
binoculars
into
an
airtight
plastic
bag
before
taking
it
to
a
warm
environment.
Let
it
gradually
adjust
to
the
warmer
temperature,
then
take
out
the
binoculars.
Do
the
same
when
taking
the
binoculars
from a
warm
environment
to
a cold one.

Binoculars
are
precision
instruments.
Do
not
drop
them
or
subject
them
to
shock.
Never
attempt
to
disassemble
them.
(4)
If
the
binoculars
get
wet,
wipe
them
with
a
dry
cloth.
If
they
have
been
exposed
to
salty
air,
wipe
them
with
a
slightly
damp
cloth.
(5)
High
temperatures
can
cause
the
binoculars
to
malfunction.
Do
not
store
them
close
to
a
heater
or
in
a closed
car
on
a
sunny
day.

If
the
lens
is
dirty,
first
use
a

Then

a soft,
dry
cloth

wipe
the
lens

without
scratching
it. Do
not
use
any
organic
solvent
on

body

lenses.
Storage
(1)
Storing
the
binoculars
in
a
humid
location
may
cause
fungus
on
the
lenses.
If
the
binoculars
are
not
to
be
used
for
an
extended
period,
clean

lenses
and
body
thoroughly
and
store
in
a
well-ventilated
dry
place.
(2) Avoid
storing
the
binoculars
in
a
laboratory
or
a
location
where
corrosive
chemicals
are
present.
Also avoid
storage
in
a
chest
of
drawers.

binoculars
are
not
to
be
used
for a
prolonged
period,
remove
the
batteries.
If
the
batteries
are
left
inside,
they
may
leak,
causing
corrosion,
malfunction
or
fire.
Battery
Care

Never
attempt
to

recharge

Ni-Cd
batteries.

not

hot
place
or
throw

into

short

LIMITED WARRANTY
The Limited Warranty set forth below is given by Canon U.S.A., Inc.
in
the United States and Canon Canada, Inc.
in
Canada (herein referred to collectively as "Canon") with respect to the
Canon Binoculars and Photographic Lens Products packaged with this Limited Warranty and identified by model number on this Limited Warranty Card (each a "Product") when purchased and
used
in
the United States or Canada.
This Limited Warranty is only effective upon presentation of this warranty card and proof of purchase.
A Product, when delivered to you
in
new condition
in
its original container, is warranted against defects
in
materials or workmanship as follows: for a period of one (1) year from the date of
original purchase, defective parts or a defective Product returned to Canon
or
its authorized service providers, and proven to be defective upon inspection, will be repaired with new or
comparable rebuilt parts or exchanged for a refurbished Product, as determined by Canon
or
the authorized service provider, in their sole discretion. Replaced parts and exchanged Products
will become the property of Canon.
When returning a Product for warranty service, the shipping charges must be prepaid and the Product should be shipped
in
its original container, or an equivalent, properly packed to withstand
the hazards of shipment and be fully insured. A copy of this warranty card and proof of purchase should be enclosed, as well as a description of the problem (including film samples, where
appropriate). Repairs will be made and the Product will be returned, shipped at NO CHARGE, within the country of repair.
This warranty only covers defective materials
or
workmanship encountered
in
normal use and service of a Product and does not apply in the following cases:
(a) Loss or damage due to neglect and/or abuse causing deterioration, mishandling, accident
or
failure to follow operating instructions.
(b) If a Product is defective as a result of leaking batteries or damage due to water or other liquid.
(c)
Defective materials or workmanship where the defect
is
due to a Product having been serviced or modified by other than Canon or a Canon authorized service provider.
(d) Malfunction reSUlting from the use of accessories, attachments, supplies, parts
or
devices (inclUding, without limitation, batteries, film, flash attachments and other accessories) that do not
conform to Canon specifications.
(e) Damage resulting during shipment. (Claim must be presented and examined by the shipper).
(f)
Damage
or
service resulting from modifications or alterations to a Product
in
any way (including any alteration or removal of its serial number or identification marks).
NO
IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY
OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, APPLIES TO A PRODUCT AFTER THE
APPLICABLE PERIOD
OF
THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, AND NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTY, EXCEPT AS MENTIONED ABOVE, GIVEN
BY ANY PERSON OR ENTITY WITH RESPECT TO A PRODUCT SHALL BIND CANON (SOME STATES AND PROVINCES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED
WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU). CANON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF REVENUES OR PROFITS, INCONVENIENCE, EXPENSE
FOR SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT OR SERVICE, STORAGE CHARGES, LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, OR ANY OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
(INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LOSS OF FILM) CAUSED BY THE USE OR MISUSE OF, OR INABILITY

USE, A PRODUCT, REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ON
WHICH THE CLAIM

NO EVENT SHALL RECOVERY OF ANY KIND AGAINST
CANON BE GREATER

AMOUNT THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE
