Notes on environmental
protection
The packaging materials used can
be recycled. When no longer re-
quired, dispose of the packaging materials
according to local environmental regula-
tions.
This product may not be disposed of
in the domestic refuse within the Eu-
ropean Union. Dispose of the appli-
ance via communal collection points.
The lters of the appliance can be dis-
posed of in the normal household refuse.
Guarantee
We will remedy any faults due to mate-
rial aws or manufacturing faults free of
charge within the guarantee period of two
years.
For commercial or equivalent use, e.g. in
hotels, guest houses or communal premis-
es, or if the customer is not a consumer
as dened by the German Civil Code, the
guarantee period is 6 months.
The guarantee does not cover faults
caused in particular by improper use,
failure to observe instructions in the user
manual and safety precautions, use of
force, modications, unauthorised at-
tempted repairs and attempted repairs by
unqualied third parties. Faults caused by
normal wear are also excluded.

Intended
use
This appliance is intended primarily for
non-commercial use on hard oors, wall-
to-wall carpeting or upholstered furniture
in closed rooms for vacuuming dry domes-
tic dirt and dust.
Any use other than previously stated is
considered as improper use.

Safety instructions
Persons who are unable to operate the
appliance due to their physical, mental
or motor response abilities may only
use the appliance under supervision or
instruction by a responsible person.
Keep the appliance out of the reach of
children.
Inspect the appliance for visible signs
of damage before use. Do not use a
damaged appliance.
Do not leave the appliance unattended
during operation.
Only allow repairs to the appliance
to be carried out by an authorised
specialist or by the works customer
service; this particularly applies for re-
placing a damaged connecting cable.
Unqualied repairs can lead to consid-
erable danger for the user. They will
also invalidate the guarantee.
Repairs to the appliance during the
guarantee period may only be carried
out by service centres authorised by
the manufacturer otherwise the guar-
antee will be invalidated in the event of
damage or subsequent damage.
Defective parts may only be replaced
with original spare parts. Only original
spare parts guarantee that the safety
requirements are met.

Do not use the appliance if the
connecting lead or mains plug is
damaged.
Do not open the housing of the ap-

if live connections are touched and/
or the electrical and mechanical

Keep hair, jewellery, loose clothing,
ngers and other parts of the body
away from the suction opening.

WARNING
Before using as a vacuum cleaner,
check whether the hand vacuum
cleaner is correctly inserted into the
main body and that the appliance is
not damaged.
Before using as a hand vacuum
cleaner, check that the appliance
and/or attached accessories are not
damaged.
Do not allow the connecting cable to
hang over edges (trip wire effect).
When used for a longer period of
time, the appliance can become hot.
Allow the appliance to cool down
before storing it or carrying out work
on the appliance.
The mains socket must be easily ac-
cessible to enable quick disconnec-
tion of the appliance from the electric
circuit in the event of an emergency.
Before working on the appliance
and the accessories, switch off the
vacuum cleaner. Remove the plug
from the mains socket in order to
prevent unexpected switching on of
the appliance.
CAUTION
Before connecting the appliance,
compare the connection data (volt-
age and frequency) on the rating
plate with those of your mains power
supply. The data must correspond in
order to avoid damage to the appli-
ance. If in doubt, ask your electrical
appliance retailer.
Do not crush the connecting cable.
(e.g., under doors).
Do not operate the appliance without
the lter or dust container.
Empty the dust container each time
after vacuuming.
CAUTION
Do not pull the connecting cable
to remove the plug from the mains
socket. Always use the handle to
carry the appliance and not by the
connecting cable.
Do not expose the connecting cable
to heat or chemical liquids.
Do not pull the connecting cable
across sharp edges or hot surfaces.
Do not vacuum any heavy, hard or
sharp-edged objects.
Do not vacuum ne dust such as
toner, soot, ash or similar substanc-
es that could lead to blockages in
the lter. This could lead to overheat-
ing of the appliance when operating
for a longer period of time.
Do not sit or stand on the appliance
and do not place any heavy objects
on it.
Do not leave the appliance out-
side and do not expose it to direct
sunlight or humidity. Do not store the
appliance in the immediate vicinity
of heat sources (e. g. re, radiators,
fan heaters or other appliances that
radiate heat).
Check or clean the lter at regular in-
tervals (at least every 3 to 6 months).
A blocked lter impairs the suction
performance of the appliance. In ad-
dition, this could lead to overheating
of the appliance when operating for
a longer period of time.

CAUTION
Allow moist or shampooed carpets
and wall-to-wall carpeting to dry
completely before vacuum cleaning.
Do not use any aggressive or abra-
sive cleaning agents.
Do not use cleaning agents to clean
the lter.
Do not clean appliance parts in a
dishwasher or washing machine.
Do not insert wet or damp lters into
the appliance.
Before using for the rst time
Unpacking
Remove the appliance, all accessory
parts and the user manual from the
box.
Remove all packaging materials and
protective foils from the appliance and
the accessories before using it for the
rst time.
NOTE
Do not remove the rating plate or
any warning signs on the appliance.
If possible, – keep the original pack-
aging during the warranty period in
order to pack the appliance properly
in the event of a guarantee claim.
Transport damage will invalidate the
guarantee.
Check the delivery contents
Check for visible signs of damage or miss-
ing items.
Report incomplete or damaged contents to
your supplier immediately.

Align the locking bolts of the tube and
the recess in the main body and push
the tube (7) into the main body (9) un-
til the lock snaps in.
Removing
Press and hold down the release but-
ton (8) and pull the tube (7) and han-
dle (5) out.
Floor brushes
Connecting
Align the keyway of the oor brush
and the recess in the main body with
each other and push the oor brush
(13) into the main body (9).
Removing (see image B)
The oor brush can be removed again
by pulling lightly.
Hand vacuum cleaner
Inserting (see image C1)
Remove the adapter from the hand
vacuum cleaner.
Insert the lower end of the hand vacu-
um cleaner (11) into the main body (9)
and subsequently press the upper end
tightly until it snaps in.
Removing (see image C2)
Press the release button (4) and re-
move the hand vacuum cleaner from
the main body (9).

Insert the desired nozzle/brush onto
the adapter.

Pull the nozzle/brush from the adapt-
er.
Pull the adapter off the hand vacuum
cleaner.
Vacuum cleaning
Using as oor vacuum cleaner
Connect the tube and the oor brush.
Insert the hand vacuum cleaner into
the main body.
Using as hand vacuum cleaner
Remove the hand vacuum cleaner
from the main body.
Mount the desired nozzle onto the
adapter.
Switching on the appliance
Insert the plug into the mains socket.
Switch on the appliance by lightly
pressing the on/off switch (2) on the
appliance.
Switching off the appliance
Switch on the appliance by lightly
pressing the on/off switch (2) on the
appliance
Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
Emptying the dust container
To empty the dust container (16), proceed
as follows:
Remove the hand vacuum cleaner
from the main body.
Press the release button (15) and
open the lid (1).
Pull the release latch (14) outwards
and remove the dust container (see
image E1).
Empty the dust container (see image
E2).
NOTE
You can also remove the dust
container without removing the hand
vacuum cleaner from the main body.
If necessary, clean the dust container
as described in the section Cleaning
the dust container.
Insert the upper part of the dust con-
tainer into the hand vacuum cleaner
and subsequently press the lower part
tightly until it snaps in (see image G).
Close the lid (1) until it snaps in.
Cleaning and care
Before beginning, pay attention to the
safety instructions in the Safety section!
Cleaning the appliance
Use a slightly moist cloth to wipe off
the outside of the appliance housing
and the accessory parts.

Cleaning the dust container
Check the dust container (16) when emp-
tying each time, however at the latest eve-
ry 3 to 6 months. If you detect dirt, clean
the dust container as follows:
Remove the hand vacuum cleaner
from the main body.
Press the release button (15) and
open the lid (1).
Pull the release latch (14) outwards
and remove the dust container.
Pull the lter out of the dust container
(see image F1).
Empty the dust container (16), see
image F2.
If necessary, clean the dust container
as described in the section Cleaning
the lter.
Rinse the dust container with water
and clean it with a slightly damp cloth.
Insert the lter back into the dust con-
tainer.
Insert the upper part of the dust con-
tainer into the hand vacuum cleaner
and subsequently press the lower part
tightly until it snaps in (see image G).
Close the lid (1) until it snaps in.
Cleaning the lter
The nest particles in the air are ltered
before they are blown out of the appliance.
Check the lter (17) and (18) every 3 to 6
months. If dirt is detected during checking,
clean the lter. Proceed as follows:
Remove the dust container from the
appliance.
Pull the lter out of the dust container.
Unlock the coarse lter by turning it
clockwise and pull it off the ne lter
(see image F3).
Clean both lters with a brush. The
lters can be rinsed with water (max.
40 °C). In the case of stubborn dirt,
clean the lter with a normal vacuum
cleaner.
Allow the lter to dry in the air for 24
hours and insert it again when it is
completely dry.
Align the keyway on the ne lter and
the recesses on the coarse lter with
each other and insert the ne lter into
the coarse lter.
Lock the lter by turning the coarse
lter anticlockwise (see image F4).
Insert the lter back into the dust con-
tainer.
Insert the upper part of the dust con-
tainer into the hand vacuum cleaner
and subsequently press the lower part
tightly until it snaps in (see image G).
Close the lid (1) until it snaps in.

Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance
for a longer period of time, clean it as de-
scribed in the section Cleaning and care.
Store the appliance and all accessory
parts at a dry, clean and frost-free loca-
tion, which is protected against direct
sunlight.
You can wind the mains cable around the
hook (6) and (10).
Set the hook so that hook (6) faces up-
wards and hook (10) faces downwards. If
necessary, pull the hook slightly outwards,
turn it 180° and release it.
In order to save space, you can remove
the tube (7) with handle (5) and insert it
into the holder (12) (see image H).
Wind the mains cable and hang it on the
hook (10).
Troubleshooting
The following table helps in localising and remedying minor faults:
