and intended use as well as cleaning and

care.

Open the fold-out page at the beginning

Safe use

WARNING

Observe the following notes to avoid

injury:

Before using each time, check that ►

the safety valve, regulating valve

and the sealing rings are clean and

functional (see section Checking the

safety valve page 10) and inspect

the low-energy pot for visible external

damage. Do not use a damaged low-

energy pot.

Observe the following instructions to

avoid burning/scalding:

Only hold the low-energy pot with the ►

handle and operating elements. If

necessary, use gloves or pot holders.

Hot steam can escape from the safety ►

valve and regulating valve. Keep a

safe distance from the low-energy

pot.

CAUTION

Observe the following instructions to

avoid damage to the low-energy pot or

hot plate:

Never heat the low-energy pot without ►

liquid otherwise the pot can be dam-

aged by overheating. Fill the low-en-

ergy pot with at least 1/4 litre of liquid.

Do not use the product in the oven. ►

Handles, valves, seals and safety

equipment will be damaged by high

temperatures.

Intended use

This product is only intended for non-com-

mercial preparation of food on glass

ceramic, electric, gas and induction

cookers.

Any use other than previously stated is con-

sidered as improper use.

use by children under 8 years of age or

persons with limited physical, sensory

or mental capabilities or with insuf-

cient experience and/or knowledge

unless they are supervised by a person

responsible for their safety or have

received instructions on the use of the

product from such a person.

Safety during

repairs and maintenance

WARNING

Observe the following notes to avoid

injury:

Do not modify the low-energy pot. In ►

particular, do not interfere with the

safety equipment except when clean-

ing as described in this user manual.

Do not oil the valves!

Replace the sealing ring with an ►

original spare part regularly after us-

ing approx. 400 times or at least after

2 years.

Defective parts may only be replaced ►

with original spare parts. Only original

spare parts guarantee that the safety

requirements are met.

Product description

The low-energy pot is suitable for preparing

soups, stews, vegetables and meat on all

types of cookers.

The low-energy pot has a ceramic non-

stick coating. It allows roasting without oil

or fat. It is also resistant to scratching, high

temperatures, can be cleaned easily and is

environment friendly.

The 3 L pot and the 4 L pot are supplied

each with 1 low-energy lid and 1 glass lid as

well as 1 wire frame and 1 steamer insert.

The set contains a 3 L pot and a 4 L pot as

well as 1 low energy lid, 1 glass lid, 1 wire

frame and 1 steamer insert.

Before using for the rst time

Checking the delivery contents

Check for visible signs of damage or 

missing items.

Report incomplete or damaged con- 

tents to your supplier immediately.

Before using for the rst time

Clean all parts in warm dishwater to re- 

move possible production residues.

Clean the sealing ring and dry it prop- 

erly.

Insert the sealing ring into the lid as de- 

scribed in section Inserting the seal-

ing ring (page 10).

Handling the low-energy pot

Opening the lid

Hold both quick-lock handles (5) tightly 

and pull them outwards (image A1).

Lift the lid upwards. 

Closing the lid

Put the lid with the sealing ring onto the 

pot so that the lid is seated properly.

Press both quick-lock handles together 

towards the middle (image A2).

Inserting the sealing ring

Place the sealing ring evenly into the 

groove provided in the inner edge of

the lid.

Cooking with the

low-energy pot

Checking the valves

Check the safety valves before using each

time.

Look into the openings from below, 

leftovers or other objects may not clog

up the openings.

The valves must be cleaned if they are dirty

as described in the section Cleaning and

care (page 10).

Cooking with the low-energy pot

Put the ingredients into the low-energy 

pot.

Check that the sealing ring is correctly 

seated as described in section Insert-

ing the sealing ring (page 10).

Close the lid of the low-energy pot as 

described in the section Closing the

lid (page 10).

Put the low-energy pot onto the cooker 

and switch it on to maximum level.

Reduce the heat supply when steam 

escapes from the regulating valve (2).

Cooking then begins.

Opening the low-energy pot

To open the low-energy pot, loosen 

the quick-lock handles and simply lift

off the lid as described in the section

Opening the lid (page 10).

NOTE

The glass lid (10) is not locked by the ►

quick-lock handles. It is simply placed

into the pot (image B).

Cleaning and maintenance

Before cleaning, allow the low-energy pot to

cool down to avoid burning!

Low-energy pot

For cleaning, use a commercially avail- ■

able washing-up liquid and dry the low-

energy pot thoroughly.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or hard ■

sponges for cleaning as they may

scratch the surfaces.

Sealing ring

Remove all soiling thoroughly and dry ■

the sealing ring.

Insert the sealing ring into the lid again ■

as described in section Inserting the

sealing ring (page 10).

NOTE

Do not put the lid or the sealing ring ►

into the dishwasher. They could be

damaged.

Safety valve

The safety valve can be removed for clean-

ing dirt.

Press down the red pin of the safety ■

valve until the silicon seal loosens on

the inside of the low-energy lid and the

pin falls out.

Clean the red pin and the silicon seal in ■

warm dishwater.

Dry both parts thoroughly before rein- ■

serting them.

First push the pin down through the ■

opening and then press the silicon seal

upwards over the pin until the recesses

of the silicon seal are seated rmly in

the opening.

Regulating valve

Before using each time, check that the

safety valve can move freely by turning the

low-energy lid. The valve must move freely

upwards. When the lid is turned back, the

valve easily falls back into the original posi-

tion. Remove the valve if it is dirty and no

longer moves freely.

Loosen the locking nut on the inside of ■

the lid by turning it anticlockwise. Hold

the steam valve on the outside of the lid

rmly at the same time.

Remove the red pin of the valve out of ■

its holder and clean all parts in warm

dishwater.

Dry all parts thoroughly before reas- ■

sembling.

Put the red valve pin into its holder and ■

both onto the low-energy lid from the

outside.

Screw the locking nut onto the valve ■

from the inside by turning it clockwise.

Hold the valve rmly from the outside at

the same time.

Before using, check for proper seating ■

and free movement.

NOTE

To ensure proper function of the low- ►

energy pot, the red valve pins may not

be mixed up. The thinner pin belongs

to the safety valve, the thicker to the

steam valve.

Storage

If you do not need to use the appliance for

a longer period of time, lay the lid upside

down on the low-energy pot to care for the

sealing ring.
