WEBSENTINEL PLUS
OVERVIEW
WebSentinel PLUS is an advanced monitor and infor-
mation collection application. It serves as a super-
visory soware solution for monitoring operational
activities of reading devices via a single web brow-
ser-based interface. It provides visibility to enterprise
controlled automated systems at a high level view of
Site, Facility, Scan Point and Device performance and
Package information.
Investigator
Investigator is a soware add-on to Datalogic’s Web-
Sentinel PLUS tool. It provides no read classification
and bar code grading for each barcode read during
normal operations. No Read classification post pro-
cessing saves images of No Reads and sorts them
into categories to determine No Read root causes.
Bar code grading estimates trends in printing qua-
lity to determine decreasing quality before labels
become no reads.
PREMIUM Ready-to-Use Server
Both WebSentinel PLUS and Investigator are already
installed on this Linux based server. The Premium
Server provides the capacity to run WebSentinel
PLUS and Investigator for optimum performance.
It provides more RAM and Internal memory as well
as faster processing. A removalbe 1 TB drive is also
provided.
Documentation for guiding you through the complete
installation process for WebSentinel PLUS and Inve-
stigator can be found in the DOCUMENTATION folder
on your PREIMUM server.
To access the folder you must first connect power, a
monitor, mouse and keyboard. To complete this pro-
cess, follow the steps on the back of this Quick Start
Guide.

GETTING STARTED WITH THE
PREMIUM SERVER
Carefully unpack the server from its box, and retain
the box and packing material in case the server ever
needs to be shipped back to Datalogic. Make sure the
box has the following contents:
y WebSentinel PLUS Server PC
y Power Supply
y Power Cable
y Remove all the components from their packa-
ging; check their integrity and compare them
with the packing documents.
WIRING TO THE SERVER
The important server connections used by WebSen-
tinel PLUS to access DOCUMENTATION are shown:
1. Make sure the Power Switch is ON aer power is
applied.
2. Connect the Mouse and Keyboard to one of the
available USB ports
3. Connect the Monitor to the (DP) Display Port
4. Connect the Power Cord to WebSentinel PLUS Ter-
minal Block
5. Connect the Power Cord to the Power supply
6. Connect the Monitor and Server to Power

CONNECTING THE POWER CORD
The Power connector for the WebSentinel PLUS Premium Terminal is a Termina Block. Flying
leads need to be connected to the Power Connector Terminal Block
4a .White wire needs to be inserted into the third pin portion of the terminal block
4b. Brown wire needs to be inserted into the first pin portion of the terminal block
