NOTE: These pictures don’t show the ﬂaring nut on the tube.

Please ensure the nut is on the tube prior to ﬂaring.

Step 1:

Insert the tube into the proper size ﬁtting on the clamp,

allowing a small length of tube to protrude from the clamp

as shown. Tighten the wing nuts with your hands ensuring

a very tight ﬁt so that the copper tube doesn’t slip while

ﬂaring.

Step 2:

Slide the ﬂaring cone over the tube as shown.

Step 4:

Remove the ﬂaring cone and loosen the

wing nuts on the clamp. Open the clamp and

remove the tube.

Step 3:

Tighten the ﬂaring cone until it is tight (fully

forming the copper tube into a ﬂare)

Step 5:

Inspect the ﬂared tube for damage or

improper shape.
