1.2 Overview
Wirelessly Mirroring Whatever on Your TV
PLANET WTV-3000 is a Wireless Display TV Adapter adopting IEEE 802.11n technology to
provide 300Mbps high speed wireless transmission. With a laptop/smart phone/tablet and
PLANET WTV-3000 Wireless Display TV Adapter, you can sit back and experience your
favorite movies, videos, photos, online shows and more in Full HD on your TV with great image
clarity and sound, without having to connect your laptop/tablet/smart phone to the TV using
HDMI or A/V cables.
Supporting Miracast, ScreenShare and Airfun Mode
PLANET WTV-3000 supports the Wi-Fi-certified Miracast and Intel WiDi standard that simplify
discovery and setup to enable you to easily mirror any content from a laptop/smart
phone/tablet on your TV.
2.4G and 5G Dual-Band Wi-Fi Transmission
Since there are more and more wireless applications and electric devices using the radio
frequency of 2.4GHz, the wireless channel of 2.4GHz has been already too crowded for clients
to enjoy the high-speed wireless connection. In order to avoid the wireless interference
between each other, PLANET WTV-3000 provides users with the radio frequency of 5GHz for
watching HD videos or playing online games additionally. At the same time, it enables other
users to surf the Internet via the original radio frequency of 2.4 GHz.

Interface Description
LAN(10/100M) The LAN socket is a RJ-45 connector for connections to
10Base-T Ethernet or 100Base-TX Fast Ethernet cabling.
This port connects the TV adapter to local PC.
DC-in(Micro USB)
The input power is 5VDC.
Use the power adapter that comes with the
package. Otherwise, the improper power adapter
may damage the unit and result in danger.
Audio/Video Audio/Video-out Jack allows this device to output audio and
video signal. This port connects the TV adapter to TV or
projector.

Airfun Mode:
The WTV-3000 is designed to be able to stream video/music/photo contents from PC (Windows 7
based), smartphone, and tablet-PC to your TV through this device.

ScreenShare Mode:
The WTV-3000 is designed to be able to stream screen captured from PC (Windows 7 /Window 8
only) and Mac (over 10.6) to your TV through this device.

2.3 Hardware Installation
Before installing the TV adapter, make sure your PC, smartphone or tablet-PC is successfully
connected to the Internet through a broadband service. If there are any problems, contact your
ISP to resolve them first.

Step 1. Plug in the power cord.
Step 2. Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI output of the WTV-3000 and to the HDMI input of
your TV/Monitor.
Step 3. Push the power button to turn on the WTV-3000.
Step 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the WTV-3000. The system default mode is
AirFun mode, which means it is ready to receive videos, music, and photos from your
PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet.
Step 5. You can switch between ScreenShare mode and Miracast mode by pushing the button
on the side of WTV-3000 (next to the USB port) twice; just follow the display on the
monitor.

Chapter 3. AirFun Mode
3.1 Basic Usage of AirFun Utility (Android)
To install the AirFun software for Windows 7, Windows XP, or Windows Vista, follow these
steps:
Step 1. Double click the AIRFUN icon from your desktop.
Step 2. The AirFun starts to search the AIRFUN device. If there is no AirFun device, it will
show “No device found”.
Step 3. You should be able to see the AirFun icon your PC screen on the TV now.
Step 4. You can drag the video/photo/music file to AirFun main menu directly. For video files, please drag
files to the right folder.

Step 5. For photo/music files, please drag files to the left folder.
3.2 Basic Usage of iMEDIASHARE Utility (iOS)
To install the iMediaShare app for an iPad or iPhone, follow these steps:

Step 2. Search DLNA software app and then select “iMediaShare Lite”.
Step 3. Click “Install App” and wait for the software installation procedure to complete.

Step 4. The iMediaShare app will display on the desktop when installation is complete.
Step 5. Launch iMediaShare app and start to share your photos, music and videos.

Chapter 4. Miracast Mode
4.1 Switching WTV-3000 to Miracast Mode
Push mode selection button on the WTV-3000 till you see the screen below. The box is ready for
Miracast mode connection.
To connect the WTV-3000 with WiFi Miracast mode, your smartphone or tablet device must be
WiFi Miracast certified.
4.2 Basic Usage of Miracast

Step 2. The phone will automatically scan the streaming box, and show the IP address.
Step 3. Choose the IP address which you find on TV, and your phone will connect to the box
automatically.
Step 4. Mirroring will begin while your phone connects to streaming box successfully.

Step 1. “Settings” -> “More settings”
Step 2.“AllShare Cast”
Step 3. Turn “on” AllShare Cast . Your phone will scan the streaming box, and it will show the IP address
of the box.

Step 4. Choose the IP address which you find on the TV, and your phone will connect to the box
automatically.
Step 5. Mirroring will begin while your phone connects to streaming box successfully.
