Installation Instructions

Installing a 12VDC Power Supply Board
e 12VDC Power Supply Board mounts in the Control Box inside the
SlideDriver™ gate operator.
Tools required
• Phillips-head screwdriver
• Power drill
• ⅛-inch drill bit
• Needle nose pliers with wire cuer
• Permanent marker or grease pencil
CAUTION
Turn OFF power to the SlideDriver and take the necessary precautions to avoid electrical shock.

Open the SlideDriver™ and Position Gate.
NOTICE: Unlock the cover, if necessary.
1. Loosen the two Phillips-head screws at the base of the cover.
2. Lift the cover o the gate operator and set it aside.
3. Determine if the gate needs to be open for vehicular trac. If it does, press the
Open button on the keypad to open the gate.

To install the 12V Power Supply, lift the Control Box lid.
1. Measure and mark the side of the Control Box where the two mounting holes
will be located. Refer to the Wiring Diagram.
2. Use a ⅛-inch drill bit to drill the two mounting holes.
NOTICE: Standos are used to keep the Power Supply Board from touching the
inside of the Control Box. Make sure they are in place before tightening the mount-
ing fasteners.
3. Insert the standos and mount the 12V Power Supply (MX000982), align the
two screws, and secure the board to the side of the Control Box. Do not over-
tighten the screws.
4. Attach the yellow 6-pin connector (MX000078) to the Power Supply Board.
5. Connect the red wire from the 6-pin cable to the 24VDC spade terminal on
the 24VDC Power Module. See Wiring Diagram.
6. Connect the black wire to a common terminal on the 24VDC Power Module.
NOTICE: e 12V Power Supply produces up to 16VDC at 3A. If it produces
more than 16VDC, test incoming power for over-voltage. If over-voltage is a non-
issue, check the transformer for a mis-tapped wire.

Test gate operation.
1. Toggle the Control Box power switch to ON.
2. Test 12VDC power output of 12V Power Supply.
3. Install accessories.
4. Close Control Box lid and test cycle the gate close & open a few times.
5. Replace and secure the SlideDriver chassis cover.
