1. System Introduction PM100-BTJ
PM100-BTJ is designed for use in caravans or motor homes. The PM100-BTJ is designed for an easy
installation and a user-friendly interface without the need for a highly tailored cable harness.
PM100J Transformer Unit
1.1.1 Output Power Isolation (Load Switch – If Connected)
The Load Switch will turn OFF output power on +L2 to +L10 (except +L1 Always ON).
This switch will also cut power to the Bluetooth module if AC Mains is not connected, the system will be in Storage Mode.

1.2 Battery Charger of House Battery
The charger automatically starts when the power is connected, either from AC mains or generator.
With multiple charging stages (soft start, bulk, absorption, oat, recycle), PM100J transformer is designed to fully charge
the battery quickly when connected to AC power. To guarantee the optimal charging for batteries of different states,
the transformer features a Microprocessor-controlled charging algorithm. The Float and Recycle charging program
guarantees that the battery condition does not change despite being connected for a longer period.

POWER SUPPLY MODE
The PM100J transformer will automatically switch between power supply and charging modes, offering a static 12.8VDC
output for the DC loads.
1.3 Battery Low Voltage Protection
(BLVP, also known as an LVD)
The PM100J transformer has a built-in low voltage protection relay. It will disconnect the load once the battery voltage drop
below the threshold voltage. The default setting is 10.5VDC for lead acid batteries and 11.2VDC for lithium batteries.
1.4 Voltage Charging Relay
(VCR, also known as a VSR)
PM100-BTJ has a built-in voltage charging relay (VCR), which offers a convenient source to charge the house battery by
alternator whilst engine is running. When the vehicle battery reaches 13.4VDC (lead acid) or 13.7VDC (lithium) with threshold
time delay, the VCR will charge the house battery from the
alternator. VCR will continue the charging until the vehicle battery
voltage drops under 12.8VDC (lead acid) or 13.3VDC (lithium).
NOTE: The PM100-BTJ when charging from the vehicle battery does not provide the 5 stage charge. It simply takes whatever
power and charging is available from the vehicle alternator.

WIRING SIZE:
DC cables must be sized to carry the maximum full load current and not to exceed the
system volt drop requirements. The following cable sizes are recommended. When running
wires, if they pass through panels or wall, ensure the wires are protected from damage by
sharp edges. The use of additional cable insulation or tubing is recommended.

3.4 Connecting to a Smart Device (Bluetooth)
1. Go to your smart device’s App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Play Store (Android) and search for the Jayco
“IntelliJay PM100-BTJ” app. Download this app to your smart device.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smart device and that permission is granted for the app to use
Bluetooth and discover new connections.
3. Open the app and it will begin searching for your system’s PMBTJ-02 Bluetooth node.
When this node shows up in the device list, tap and you will be prompted to enter a pairing code.
4. The default pairing code Is the last four (4) digits of your PMBTJ-02 node’s serial number.
You ca n nd this serial numb er printed on the side of the node.
If the Bluetooth node does not show up in the device list, ensure the following:
You are withi n close enough proximi ty to the PM100-BTJ sy stem
The PM100J transformer is connected to sufcient power and operational
The Bluetooth node is properly connected to the PM100J transformer
Your smart de vice operating system is up to date (iOS 8.0 and higher, or Android 4.4 and higher)
11
3.5 Using the PM100-BTJ Remote App
1. Once you have established a paired connection with your smart device, the app will take you to its home screen
where you may see a variety of system parameters.
2. It is now important to select your battery type, to ensure ideal charging and system operation. To do this, tap the
white settings cog/gear in the top right corner of the screen, then tap the down arrow under “Battery Type”.
Choose your battery type from the list – AGM, GEL, LFP (lithium) or WET.
3. It is also recommended that you update your PM100-BTJ system to the latestrmware this can be done by via
the update function in the settings menu (your system may already be up to date). Please ensure you remain in
close proximity to the system and do not disconnect power to the system or your phone during an update.
4. From the home screen, the PM100-BTJ app allows the user to remotely monitor key aspects of the power system
from the convenience of their phone or tablet, as well as remotely switch the output load’s power on or off.
The following information is displayed in the app’s home screen:
House battery volts and amps (charge and discharge)
Vehicle battery voltage
Charging mode/status
Power input source (grid or VCR)
Water tank levels (when sensors connected/installed/operational)
Load status and power button
The power button may be used to turn output load power on or off, resulting in startup or shutdown of all appliances
and lighting wired to outputs on the PM100J transformer. Note: this switch only affects output load - the app will
continue monitoring parameters and retain its Bluetooth connection to your smart device, even with the load off.
