READ FIRST
Follow these steps to ensure correct operation of your Dial Backup
Module (DBM):
1. Review the
3600 Series DBM Option Installation Instructions

Document No. 3610-A2-GZ52
.
Those instructions explain how to
determine whether you also must first install new firmware.
2. If necessary, install new firmware according to the
3600 Series Firmware
Installation Instructions
, Document No. 3610-A2-GZ43.
3. Install the DBM according to the
3600 Series DBM Option Installation
Instructions.
4. If you did not install new firmware, go to Step 7.
5. Using the Confg menu from the front panel, load the factory default
settings. The DSU will not function properly unless the factory
default settings are reloaded.
6. Using the Confg menu from the front panel, verify that directories, phone
numbers, and SPIDs have been cleared. If they have not, clear them
now.
7. Enter and save any directories, phone numbers, and SPIDs. Make and
save any other configuration changes you require.
8. Cycle power to the unit.
