At each change of CCA value, the tester will sound a short beep.
5. With the clamps connected, the tester will display the battery's state
of charge. If the charge state is less than 12V ( for 12V batteries )
or 6V ( for 6V batteries ), the battery should be recharged before
load test. If recharging can not bring voltage to a value higher
than 12V ( for 12V batteries ) or 6V ( for 6V batteries ), the
battery is defective. If the display remain blank, check for loose
connections and ensure the correct polarity has been observed. If
all is as it should be and yet the display remains blank, the battery is
defective.
6. For load test, press and release the " LOAD " button. The tester
sounds a beep and start to perform load test. ( The load test will last
for 10 secs. ) If you perform load test for battery whose charge
state is less than 12V ( for 12V batteries ) or 6V ( for 6V batteries ),
the display will show " - L - ". This indicates you should recharge
the battery and refer to step 5.
If you perform load test for battery whose charge state is higher than
18V (for 12V batteries) or 9V (for 6V batteries), the display will
show " - H - ". This indicates the charge state of the battery is too
high and load test will not be done.
7. After the 10 secs load test, the tester will sound a beep indicating
load test has been nished. During load test, you can read
load voltage on the display and the " GOOD ", " WEAK " or " BAD "
LED will light up to indicate the status of the battery.
( The LED indication will remain until you press a button or a clamp
is disconnected from the battery.)
8. After reading the load voltage and the LED indication, please refer to
the Battery Load Test Analysis section.
Note:
1. If the display shows " Err " during load test, it means that the tester is
defective or the voltage of the battery is too low.
2. After you have preformed the load test ve times successively, the
display will show " OL " if you press the " LOAD " button once more.
In this condition, you should disconnect the clamps from the battery
and then reconnect them again; otherwise the tester will not work.
3. When the tester's internal temperature is too high, the display will
show the tester's present internal temperature in °c.
