Loading International Phone Language Files

Below are the instructions for loading the French language file into the ADTRAN IP Phone. The French language

file can be downloaded from the Support tab for the IP 706/712 phones at http://www.adtran.com/support.

On the NetVanta 7060/7100

1. Copy the Language_French.xml file into the root directory of the compact flash card.

2. Copy the Language_French.xml file into the ADTRAN directory on the compact flash card.

3. Add the following line to the adtran_customer.txt file from the web interface of the NetVanta 7060/7100

(without the quotes):

“Language English,French".

This file can be edited on the Global Files tab on the IP Phone Configs page of the web interface. It is

also located in the /ADTRAN folder on the compact flash card.

On the ADTRAN IP Phone

1. Reboot the phone and let it download the Language_English.xml and Language_French.xml file from the

compact flash card.

2. Select Menu-> 2.Phone Settings -> 4.Language. Select "French" and select "Ok". The phone will take a few

seconds while it loads the language file and then should display the French text.
