Place the projector on a secure, flat surface ensuring Air Inlets and Outlets (K, Q & U) are
not obstructed.
Remove the Power Cable from Cable Storage (R).Firmly insert plug (Diagram 5) into
Europlug Socket (S) and connect to the electricity supply. N.B. - Refer to Safeguards section 8.
Switch projector on by pressing Power ON/OFF Button (W). Adjust Mirror (B) to give the
desired picture height and move projector forward or backward to obtain the desired
image size.
Place transparency on Platform (P) and turn Drive Unit Wheel (A) clockwise or
counterclockwise until projected image is clear and sharp.
Read and understand all instructions prior to use.
DO NOT leave the projector unattended when switched on.
N.B - Close supervision is advised when the appliance is used by or near children.
DO NOT obstruct the air inlets and outlets (K, Q & U).
DO NOT touch any part of the projector that may become hot.
DO NOT leave projector switched on with the Mirror (B) in the down/closed position.
DO NOT store projector until it has completely cooled after use.
DO NOT operate the projector if the Power Cable is damaged or if the projector has been
dropped or damaged until it has been examined by a qualified person.
DO NOT place the Power Cable where it may be tripped over or pulled. Ensure it does not
come into contact with hot surfaces such as pipes or radiators. Make sure the cable is not
squashed or pinched.
DO NOT use an extension cable unless it is absolutely necessary and then only one of
suitable current rating (i.e. 10A or greater).
DO NOT attempt to carry the projector by the Column (F) or Drive Arm Assembly (N).
Grasp the projector at the front and rear for transporting.
DO NOT leave the projector attached to the electricity supply when not in use. Store Power
Cable in Cable Storage (R) provided.
DO NOT disconnect Power Cable from electricity supply by pulling the cable. Always grasp
the Power Cable Plug and pull to disconnect.
DO NOT immerse projector in water or other liquids. Doing so may result in Electric Shock!
DO NOT attempt to disassemble the projector. Incorrect re-assembly may result in Electric
Shock for subsequent users. Always consult a qualified person.
DO NOT attempt to clean or service the projector while it is connected to the electricity
supply.
DO NOT directly touch replacement lamps as this will contaminate the lamp glass causing
premature failure. Follow the manufactures instructions.
DO NOT store projector in direct sunlight.
ONLY use the projector for the intended purpose.
ONLY replace failed components with those of the recommended type.
Consult your Sales Agent on suitability of accessories such as LCD panels prior to use with
this projector.
Power ON/OFF Button (W).
Economy Switch (M) (where applicable) which is used to reduce the light output of the
lamp and prolong lamp life.
Platform Catches (G) allows the Platform to be opened and access to the interior of the
projector for lamp replacement.
WARNING - switch off projector and allow to cool before changing lamps.
Lamp Change (H) (where applicable) allows immediate selection of a second lamp,
“lamp one” fail.
Cable Storage (R), in to which the Power Cable may be safely packed when projector is not
in use.
Drive Unit Wheel (A) allows the projected image to be focused by moving drive unit up or
down.
The Column (F) may be lowered to a storage position by grasping the column and
disengaging the Column Clamp (T) until the post is able to fall forward freely to its down
position. Engage Clamp.
Fringe Control (L) allows the elimination of brown/yellow or blue colouration (fringing)
from the edge of the focused picture.
Interrupt switch - prohibits use of the projector when the Platform (P) is not in place.
Thermal Cut Out - prevents damage to the projector due to overheating.

Periodic cleaning of the projector is recommended as some components may have their
performance impaired by environmental conditions.
The following procedure should be followed:-

Switch off projector at Power ON/OFF Button (W) and at electricity supply.
Disconnect .
Warning - Allow Projector to cool before attempting lamp replacement.
Open Platform using Platform Catches (G).
Lift condenser lens & plate (where applicable) which is situated above the lamp(s).
Remove the lamp from the lamp holder and discard of appropriately.
WARNING - Beware of sharp edges on the surrounding metalwork.
Install a new lamp of the specified type using the handling procedures described by the lamp
manufacturer. N.B. - Refer to 6.
Confirm lamp element is positioned centrally over the lamp box mirror and adjust
appropriately.
Close the condenser lens & plate firmly and ensure it is lying flat (where applicable).
Close the Platform and reset the lamp change slider to position “lamp 1” (where applicable).

Safeguards section 1
Reconnect Euro-plug to Euro-socket. The projector is now ready for use

Allow projector to cool.
Head Unit - the Mirror surface (B) should be wiped with a soft, lint free cloth.
N.B. - avoid scratching the mirrors surface.

Disconnect the Europlug (Diagram 5) from the Europlug socket (S).
he Objective Lens (D) should be wiped with a soft, lint free cloth.
The top surface of the Platform glass area (P) may be cleaned with a soft cloth and a mild
non-abrasive cleaning solution.
Fresnel lens - open the Platform (P) using the Platform Catches (G). The fresnel lens is the
large semi transparent plastics area with concentric circles mounted on the underside of the
Platform. Taking note of which side is up, press back the retaining clips on the front corners
of the fresnel lens and lift it out taking extreme care not to scratch the lens surface. Gently
clean both surfaces of the lens with a soft, clean lint free cloth. The underside of the
platform glass may also be cleaned at this point (refer to 6). Insert the fresnel back into the
Platform ensuring it is the same way up prior to removal, correctly seated and securely
clipped into position.
N.B. - If the fresnel is replaced upside down the projected image will be distorted.
The Europlug socket (S) is fitted with a fuse. If you suspect a blown fuse the procedure for
replacement is as follows:-

Switch off projector at Power ON/OFF Button (W) and at electricity supply.
Disconnect the Europlug (Diagram 5) from the Europlug socket (S).
Pull out the fuse drawer (diagram 4).
Lift out suspect fuse and replace with another of the specified type.
Close fuse holder drawer. Reconnect Euro-plug to Euro-socket. The projector is now ready
for use.

Carefully remove the projector and any accessories from the carton. (Please save the
shipping carton and other packaging materials, should the projector require re-shipping at
a later date.)
Disengage Column Clamp (T) (Diagram 1) and raise Column (F) to vertical position.
Engage Column Clamp (T) to lock Column(F) in vertical position (Diagram 2).
Turn Drive Unit Wheel (A) clockwise until Drive Arm (N) is approximately half way along the
Rack(E) (Diagram 2).
Raise Mirror (B) to approximately 45° (Diagram 3).
