4. Getting started and operation

4.1 Switching on/off

•Use Power(1) to switchonthe speaker.

Power (1)isinthe ON position.

•Avoice noticationconrms that thedevice

is readyfor operation. TheLED indicator (9)

lights up blue.

Note–Automatic shutdown

Notethatthe speakerwillautomatically

switchoff after 10 minutes without

action (no audio playback/no

Bluetooth

®

function).

4.2 Charging the battery

Warning –Rechargeable

battery

•Onlyuse suitable chargingdeviceswith

USB connections for charging.

•Asarule, do not use charging devices

or USB connections that are defective

and do nottry to repairthem yourself.

•Avoid storing,chargingorusing

batteries in extreme temperatures.

•Whenstoredfor along period of time,

batteries should be charged regularly

(at leastevery three months).

•Chargethe speakerfully beforeusing it for

the rst time.

•Connectthe included Micro-USB charging

cable to the speaker’sMicro-USB port(8).

•Connect the unusedconnector on the

Micro-USBchargingcable to asuitable

USB charger .Pleaserefer to theoperating

instructions for the USBchargerused.

•The statusLED (9) lights up constantly in red

duringthe chargingprocess.

•Ifthe battery is fully charged,the status LED

(9) will go out.

Note –Charging

•Ittakes approx. 2hours to completely

charge theproduct.

•The speaker’s batterycan be charged

whether the speaker is on or off.

•Ifthe battery capacity is lessthan 10%,

the speaker will emit two acoustic

signals. Youwillonlyreceivethis

information if thespeaker is on.

•The actual battery life varies depending

on use of thedevice, thesettings and the

ambientconditions(rechargeablebatteries

havealimited service life).

settings on your

terminal device andwaituntil Hama

Tube appears in thelistof

devicesfound.

•Select Hama Tube and wait until the

speaker is listed as connected in the

Bluetooth

settings on your terminal device.

An acoustic signal conrms thatconnection

wassuccessful.

•The statusLED (9) nowremainsred.

metresapart. If not,move them closer

together.

•Check whether obstacles areimpairing

the range. If so, move thedevices

closer together.

4.5 Audio playback (via

Bluetooth

®

)

Startand control audioplayback on the

connectedterminal device accordingly.

Alternatively, audio playback can also be

controlled on thespeaker(if the connected

device supports this function).

•Press the>ІІ function button (4)tostart or

pause audio playback.

•Brieypress the >> functionbutton (5)to

skip to thenext track.

•Brieypress the<<function button(3) to

go back to theprevious track.

•Hold down the>>function button (5) to

increasethe volume.

•Hold down the<<function button (3) to

reduce the volume.

4.6 Audio playbackvia the included audio

cable (3.5 mm jack)

•Ensure thatthe speakerisswitched off.

•Connectyourmobileterminal device (MP3

player ,smartphone, etc.)and the AUX input

(7) of thespeakerusing theincluded3.5

mm audio cable.

•Set thevolume on your terminaldevice

to alow level.

•Switch on thespeakersasdescribed in

4.1

Switching the productonand off.

•Start andcontrol audio playbackonthe

connected terminal device accordingly.

•Ifthe devicedoesnot automaticallystart

in AUXmode, pressthe Modebutton (6)

repeatedly until youare able to play audio

from thedesired source.

•Press andholdthe >> button (5) to increase

the volume. Pressand holdthe << button

(3) to reducethe volume.

•Brieypress theFunctionbutton >ІІ (4) to

pause playback.

Note

Pleasenotethat youcannot establish the

Bluetooth

connection described under

4.4and 4.5ifanaudio cable is connected.

4.7 Hands-freefunction

Youcan use the speaker as ahands-free set

for yourmobile phone. Forthisfunction,

the mobilephonemust be connectedtothe

speaker via

•Press thePlay/Pause/Modebutton >ІІ (4)

oncetoanswer an incomingcall.

•Press andholdthe Play/Pause/Mode button

>ІІ (4) for about 3seconds to reject an

incomingcall.

•Ifyou wouldlike to end acall, pressthe

Play/Pause/Mode button >ІІ (4) once

during thecall.

Note –Callquality

To increase the call quality, make surethat

youare nearthe speaker with your mobile

phone during the call.
