1. Safety Information
The tester is intended to use in compliance with the local rules of the electrical usage
and avoid to apply at the places which are inapplicable for the use of electrics such as
hospital, gas station etc.
When using this device, please use the original accessories to avoid damage caused by
the use of uncertified accessories.
The accessories attached to this device are only suitable for this device. Do not use
them for other purposes to avoid unforeseen accidents.
To prevent the functional decline or failure, the product should not be sprinkled or
damped.
The exposed part of the tester should not be touched by the dust and liquid.
During transportation and use, it is highly recommended to avoid the violent collision
and vibration of the tester, lest damaging components and causing failure.
Don’t leave the device alone while charging. If the battery is found severely hot, the
device should be powered off from the electric source at once. The tester should not
be charged over 10 hours.
Don’t use the tester where the humidity is high. Once the tester is damp, power off
immediately and move away other connected cables.
The tester should not be used in the environment with the flammable gas.
Do not disassemble the instrument. If the disassembly is necessary indeed, please
contact with the technician of our company.
The instrument should not be used under the environment with strong
electromagnetic interference.
Don’t touch the tester with wet hands or waterish things.
Don’t use the detergent to clean and the dry cloth is suggested to use. If the dirt is not
easy to remove, the soft cloth with water or neutral detergent can be used. But the
cloth should be tweaked sufficiently.
2. IP Camera Tester Introduction
2.1 General
The IP Camera tester is used for the installation and maintenance of security monitoring
equipment such as IP network HD cameras and analog video surveillance cameras. The
device uses a 5-inch high-definition touch screen display, and the main stream can display
H.265/H.264 encoded network HD camera images, the highest resolution 4K. Display coaxial
HD camera and CVBS camera image (optional function) and cloud control. The combination
of touch screen and key buttons make the IP camera tester very user-friendly.
The device has built-in PING, IP address search and other Ethernet test functions; LED
Flashlight, DC12V power output and other functions, small and light, is conducive to improve
the efficiency of installation and maintenance personnel.
2.2 Product Features
5-inch 800x480 HD capacitive touch screen for clearer image display and easy-to-use
touch operation.
New hardware decoding, support H.265 decoding. The camera has the highest
resolution 4K in the H.265/H.264 encoding mode.

2.3 Function Introduction
2.3.1 H.265 Mainstream test
New hardware decoding, H.265/H264 encoding camera supports the main stream playback
image, the highest resolution under the main stream supports 4K. Real-time picture is clear
and smooth.
2.3.2 HD display and touch operation
5-inch 800*480 HD resolution, LCD capacitive touch screen, the image display is clearer;
capacitive touch screen operation makes the operator simpler, easier to use, more flexible
and more efficient.
2.3.3 IP camera test
IPC camera tester, built-in ONVIF test tool, IP network camera test, browser and other
functions, can display the image of the network camera, change the IP address etc. The 5-
inch 800×480 display has a larger viewing angle, making it easy for the installation engineer
to locate the network camera. Cross-network test, support video, capture. The physical
button controls the network camera PTZ (ONVIF protocol). Built-in WIIF module to test WIFI
cameras.
2.3.4 Android system
This product has an Android system and supports the installation of third-party apps with
Android version.
2.3.5 App Store
The built-in app store allows you to upgrade your own system apps at will.
2.3.6 Audio test
The audio test function of the video monitoring tester can test audio devices such as pickups
in the video monitor front end.
2.3.7 HDMI output display
Product expansion performance can be external HDMI output display according to user
needs, for large screen display.
2.3.8 Standard USB port
The product can be connected to USB, support 5V1A output, and can be used with other
devices such as mouse, keyboard, etc.
2.3.9 IP address scan
In the digital monitoring application, if the IP address of the IP camera is unclear or forgotten,
the device cannot be debugged. The device's IP address scan can quickly find the IP address
of the IP camera or other network device that connected to the device.
2.3.10 PING test
PING is the most common tool in network debugging. It is used to test whether the Ethernet
port of an IP camera or other network device works normally and the IP address is correct.
2.3.11 IP discovery
The device auto-scan the whole network segment IP, as well as auto-modify the tester’s IP
to the same network segment with the scanned camera’s IP. The device can set static IP
address of multiple network segments, and can test IP cameras of different network
segments at the same time.
2.3.12 Video screenshot
While video test and PTZ debug with the tester, it does not need to switch screens. The
video images can be taken and taken at any time and stored in the SD card of the device to
facilitate the construction and recording of the scene.
2.3.13 Video record
While video test and PTZ debug with the tester, the video can be recorded by one-click
operation and stored in the SD of the device to facilitate the construction and recording of
the scene.
2.3.14 Playback
The device stores the video files and captured image files in the SD card, saves these files
under different directories according to different dates. Users can easily find and view files
from different periods.
2.3.15 DC12V 1A power output
The video monitoring tester is designed to supply power to the camera with a 12V 1A power
output port to provide temporary power to the camera. Mainly used for live demonstration
and testing of some cameras.
2.3.16 Standard RS485 port
The product supports multiple interfaces and also includes RS485 port, which is convenient
for testing camera devices of different interfaces and supports traditional PTZ control.
2.3.17 CVI camera test (* optional)
CVI coaxial HD video monitoring test, support 720p 25/30/50/60fps, 1080p 25/30fps,
2560x1440P 25/30 FPS etc. resolution digital camera image test. The device can zoom in,
record, take photos, view pictures and video playback etc.
2.3.18 TVI camera test (* optional)
TVI coaxial HD video monitoring test, support 720p 25/30/50/60fps, 1080p 25/30fps,
2048x1536/18/25/30 fps, 2688 x 1520P 15FPS, 2560x1944/12.5/20 fps, 2592 x 1944P
12.5/20FPS, 3840 x 2160 15 FPS etc. resolution digital camera image test. The device can
zoom in, record, take photos, view pictures and video playback etc.
2.3.19 AHD camera test (* optional)
AHD coaxial HD video surveillance test, support 720p 25/30fps, 1080p 25/30fps,
2048x1536P 18/25/30fps, 2560 x 1440P 15/25/30 FPS, 2592 x 1944P 12.5/20FPS etc.

2.3.20 Analog camera video test
The device can display the image of an analog camera, a 4-inch 800x480 display, a larger
viewing angle, and more intuitive display of camera image quality. Supports image signals in
PAL/NTSC format. The backlight brightness of the LCD display of the device is adjustable, and
the brightness, contrast, and color saturation of the analog video image can be adjusted.
2.3.21 PTZ control
The video monitoring tester has built-in PTZ control protocols such as Pelco-D/P. Through its
own RS485 interface, the user can control the rotation direction of the PTZ camera, move
left, move right, go up, go down etc. and can adjust zoom, focus and aperture size etc.

3. Operation
3.1 Battery installation and charging instructions
This device has a built-in rechargeable polymer lithium battery. To ensure safe
transportation, the battery connection in the battery compartment must be disconnected
during transportation! (Factory added battery separator)
Unplug the battery separator before use.
No need to disconnect the battery when the user is in normal use.
Pressing the key continuously can power on or off the tester.
Notice: Please use the original adaptor and connected cable of the device!
When the battery icon is full or the charge indicator is always on, indicate the battery
charging is completed.
Notice: When the battery icon is full, the battery is approximately 90% charged. The
charging time can be extended for about 1 hour. Do not charge more than 12 hours on a
single charge. It can be turned on while charging, but the charging time is extended.
Notice: When the system is abnormal, please disconnect all external cables,
continuously press the key until the instrument automatically turns off, then restart
the device.
3.2 Instrument connection
3.2.1 IP camera connection
Connect an IP camera to the LAN port of the device, connect the IP camera to the power
supply, the LINK of the LAN port of the device constantly bright, and the data indicator
flashes, indicating that the device and the IP camera are properly connected and
communicating, and the device can test the image of the camera. If the two indicators on
the LAN port of the device don’t shine, check whether the IP camera is powered on or the
network cable is faulty.
3.2.2 Analog camera / coaxial HD camera connection *
Connect the video output of the camera or the speed dome to the video input VUDIO IN
of the IPC Tester video monitoring tester. The LCD screen of the device will display the image
of the camera.
Connect the RS485 control cable of the speed dome or camera PTZ to the RS485 port of
the IPC Tester of the video monitoring tester. Pay attention to the positive and negative
poles of the connection cable, positive to positive, negative to negative.
3.3 Function menu operation
Press the key 2 seconds to turn on
Press the key 2 seconds to turn off. The device prompts whether to shut down, click
"OK" to shut down the device.
Short press the key to enter sleep mode, press the key again to wake it up.
If the tester works abnormally and cannot be turned off, press the key several
seconds to turn off and reset.
3.3.1 UI
Bright and simple UI, the main page has several commonly used apps of our IPC equipment,
as shown below:
3.3.2 IPC Test app
When we open the IPC Test software on the main page, the software will
automatically search for the IP camera device in the LAN. Clicking the camera list on the left
panel will display the real-time screen of the camera. At the top left, it is the user name and
password. Click “Display” can show the password directly, it is convenient to check whether
the password is entered correctly. UI as follows:
When we click , we can increase the IP address and port of other devices in the LAN
to match.
Click to re-detect the IP camera device in the LAN.
Recording: Under the screen, the icon button can perform the recording function,
and the button color will change. When the color turns pink, the interface will prompt “Start
recording”.
When you click again, its color returns to normal, indicating that the recording has
ended and is saved in the video player .
ScreenshotWhen we click the icon button at the bottom, the image on the video
will be captured in real time, and the UI will also prompt the photo success. The picture will
be saved in the video player .
Video player: When we click on the player, it will jump to the video player interface,
which will display our video and photos, can click to play video or view photo.
Camera information: When we click , it will display information about the camera
equipment we tested, such as manufacturer, device model, device serial number, firmware
version, IP Address, Mac address, etc.
Setting: When we click , it will show two options, one is “IP Setting”, another one is
“Time Setting”.
IP Setting: Set IP Address of IP Camera
We can configure IP address, subnet mask, network management, DNS, etc. according to the
actual application scenario.
Time Setting: You can synchronize time with your computer on the network, or you can
manually set the time parameters.
Code stream selectionClick to select main stream or sub stream.
RTSP address query: Click to query the corresponding RTSP address and provide
convenient copy function.
