The Kodak Manual Feeder / for i800 Series Scanners provides a flat work surface to aid in manual feeding.
This document provides instructions on how to install and use the manual feeder.
Installing and using the Manual Feeder
Before installing the manual feeder the elevator tray
must be in the lowest position.
1. Select this icon
to lower the elevator tray.
2. Open the side guides on the scanner to the widest
position.
3. Place the manual feeder on top of the elevator tray
using the slots in the manual feeder to align with the
side guides. Position the manual feeder to the fully
seated position.
Attaching the manual feeder side guides
After installing the manual feeder, attach the side
guides that are packed with the manual feeder.
The manual feeder has two locations for the side
guides. Depending on the size of the documents you
are scanning:
use the holes closest to the center of the manual
feeder if you are scanning documents smaller
than 22.23 cm (8.75 in.), or
use the holes farthest away from the center of the
manual feeder if you are scanning documents
larger than 22 cm (8.66 in.).
4. Align the holes on the manual feeder with the pegs
on the left side guide as shown.
5. Repeat step 4 for the right side guide.
6. Adjust the side guides to the desired position by
sliding them in or out to accommodate the size of the
documents you are scanning.
7. When the side guides are adjusted, tighten the
screw.
8. Select the Diagnostics Settings menu
icon.
9. Use the right or left arrow to navigate to the Setting
function.
10. Press the down arrow until Set elevator position is
displayed on the Operator Control Panel.
11. The setting of 25 should be used for manual or
continuous feed operation.
12. Scan the document(s) in single-sheet or hand-held
position.
Removing the manual feeder
1. Select this icon to lower the elevator tray to its
lowest position.
2. Remove the manual feeder.
