+127 for the 1220 XR and later. The PAL 1200s have different parameters of - 128 and + 127, while the
Imagescan has the parameters of -128 and 90.
To adjust the speed at which the Focus lens moves click the mouse on the symbols marked <-> and
<+> within the speed box and the speed will change accordingly with 0 being the fastest and the
following being the slowest 1220IIR 62, 1220 XR or later 31 & the PAL 1200 has a time value of 12.7
Seconds.
In order to ease programming of the Imagescan while using different images, a preset facility is available,
after setting your desired focus setting, move the mouse to the group of six boxes on the right, click on the
‘SET’ button and then any of the numbers 1 - 5 , this will store your focus setting. It should be pointed out
that the focus settings can only be stored or recalled for the currently active units.
To return to the main program click the mouse on the button marked 'PROGRAM'.
PRISM
To activate the Prism control section click the mouse on the button marked 'PRISM'. The bottom half of the
screen will change to display a series of boxes which are used to program the Prism.
The Left Hand section of this sub page will contain a prism selector for that unit, together with some arrows
on either side of this box. By clicking on either of the Two arrows the prism wheel will advance in the
chosen direction by one whole prism at a time.
To adjust the speed at which the Prism changes, click the mouse on the symbols marked <-> and <+>
within the speed box and the speed will change accordingly.
Programming Rotating Prisms
The Roboscan PRO 1220 RPR contains one wheel with Four rotating prisms. Once selected the lower half
of the previous screen will change to show the available options. The rotating prisms are capable of either
spinning continuously or being given an absolute position by utilizing an optical sensor system.
To spin the prism continuously you have to first select a direction for the prism to spin in by using the top
row of buttons in the box, '<' will spin the prism to the left, '>' will spin the prism to the right, and the
center button marked '
' will stop the prism from spinning. Secondly, you have to select a speed for the
prism to spin at, this is done by clicking on either the <-> or <+> symbols in the box marked 'R-SPEED'.
The prism will then rotate at the speed selected.
To send the prism to an absolute position you must select the button marked 'POS' with the mouse. The
prism will then align itself to its current position setting and stop rotating. To change this position setting
click on either of the <-> or <+> symbols that are within the box marked 'POSITION' and the prism will
move accordingly. The parameters for possible positions are from -480 to +479. Within these limitations
400 steps will perform One complete revolution of the prism.
To return to the main program click the mouse on the button marked 'PROGRAM'.
COLOR
To activate the Color control section click the mouse on the button marked 'COLOR'. The bottom half of
the screen will change to display a series of boxes, the number of boxes will vary depending on the unit
which you are programming.
The Left Hand section of this sub page will contain all possible color options from that unit, together with
some arrows on either side of this display. By clicking on either of the Two central arrows the color wheel
will advance in the chosen direction by one whole color at a time. By clicking on either of the Two middle
arrows the color wheel will advance in the chosen direction by a step at a time. There are a varying number
of intermediate steps between each color, dependant on the unit which you are programming. This gives
