Chapter 1 General Information
1.1 Introduction
The ACP-4001 Rackmount IA Master series is a 4U height 14-slot rack-
mount IPC workstation with 6.4" LCD display and built-in slim keyboard
and Touch Pad drawer. It is designed as all-in-one and cost-effective
enhanced solution for traditional IPC users and new Industrial Automa-
tion Controller.
This ACP-4001 Rackmount IA Master unit includes a versatile 14-slot
passive-backplane and an optional power supply for different application
inquiries, 10 function and cursor keys for SI/VAR application program, 2
front USB ports for front accessible USB device and slim type 85 key
keyboard and touch pad drawer for easy maintenance or upgrade, and a
6.4" TFT LCD screen for information display like chart, trend, control
panel, programming or production data or field monitoring record; and
dual easy maintenance cooling fans provide abundant cooling to the
whole system. The optional SNMP-1000, a fully integrated Rackmount
IA Master, supports system fault detection. The web-enabled and web-
based alarm notification system monitors system status, including SBC
status, voltages, power supply, cooling fans and temperature through web
browser by minimizing system down time.
A wide range of standard computing peripherals from current ADVAN-
TECH IPC family can be integrated into the ACP-4001 to meet different
application development, mission-critical environment 24 hours a day,
7days a week.

2.2 2 Installation of ACP-4001 Serial Models
The ACP-4001 could be configured as following three basic models, such
as ACP-4001BP-00 bare model, ACP-4001BP-25Z/30Z/30R/31D with
power only, and full integrated as ACP-4001P4-XXC3/C4, ACP-
4001P4XXM3/M4.
2.2.1 ACP-4001BP-00
ACP-4001BP-00 is a bare model, which is without backplane and power
supply inside chassis. It has a power switch on the front panel. The on-off
switch is suitable for AT power supply such as 310W DC48V. Please plug
the power connector (P8/P9) with the backplane and four wires (Brown,
blue, black, white) with on-off switch to finish the power installation. The
momentary switch is suitable for ATX power supply such as 25Z/30Z/
30R, please plug a 20-pin ATX power connector with backplane first,
then use a orange-white wire (1700030500) to connect between CN#
(PSON_GND_5VSB) of the Backplane and "ATX feature connector"
(CN20) of the SBC. Finally, connect POWER SW wire with "PWR
SW"(CN21) on the SBC to finish the installation.

2.2.2 ACP-4001BP-25Z/30Z/30R/31D
Those models are without backplane but with power supply. You could
install suitable backplane, which are listed on backplane option table.
2.2.3 ACP-4001P4-2ZC3/C4, ACP-4001P4-3ZC3/C4
The full integrated ACP-4001P4-XXXX is within PCA-6114P4 back-
plane inside, and 2ZC3 is with 250W ATX PFC power supply and PCA-
6003H SBC inside chassis. 3ZC3 is with 300W ATX PFC power supply
and PCA-6003H SBC inside chassis. You could install the suitable add-
on card, CPU, DRAM and some peripherals.
2ZC4 is with 250W ATX PFC power supply and PCA-6004H SBC inside
chassis. 3ZC4 will be with 300W ATX PFC power supply and PCA-
6004H SBC inside chassis. You could install the suitable add-on card,
DRAM and some peripherals since PCA-6004H is built-in CPU already.

2.2.4 ACP-4001P4-3RM3/M4
In order to integrate SNMP-1000, which is an intelligent SNMP/HTTP
System Manager into ACP-4001 system, we support two fully integrated
models; one is ACP-4001P4-3RM3, which is with PCA-6114P4 back-
plane, 300W ATX PFC redundant power supply, PCA-6003H and
SNMP-1000-E2A1 module. The other is ACP-4001P4-3RM4, which is
with PCA-6114P4 backplane, 300W ATX PFC redundant power supply,
PCA-6004H and SNMP-1000-E2A1 module. Those systems could pro-
vide remote monitoring features by Web-based browser.
2.3 Keyboard
ACP-4001 is with a US version 88-key slim type keyboard, which is
located on the button of chassis. The slim type keyboard is integrated
with chassis together and with slid rail on its both sides. The keyboard
