Introduction
There are two models of the Polaroid Pack Film Holder depending on the type of camera.
RZ67: Polaroid Film Pack Holder HP702
RB67: Polaroid Film Pack Holder HP701
The area produced by the Polaroid instant print is approximately 7x7cm.
Attaching the Polaroid Pack Film Holder to the RZ67 Camera Body
1. Align the Revolving Ring’s orange circle, found at the back of the camera body, with the upper
Index Mark on the camera body.
2. Hold the Polaroid Pack Film Holder so that its orange circle is at the same position as the one on
the camera’s Revolving Ring.
3. Place the Polaroid Pack Film Holder on the back of the camera.
4. Be sure that the camera’s four Mount Pins fit into the four holes in the Polaroid Pack Film Holder.
5. Secure the Polaroid Pack Film Holder to the camera body by moving the holder’s Lock Lever to its
lock position.
6. Set the camera’s R-M Lever to its normal, white square, position.
7. Turn the Polaroid Pack Film Holder’s ISO Dial to the speed of the Polaroid film.
8. Remove the Dark Slide and store it in the Polaroid Pack Film Holder’s Dark Slide Slot.
Attaching the Polaroid Pack Film Holder to the RB67 Camera Body
1. Detach the Revolving Adapter from the camera body by pulling the R-Lock Lever out and down.
2. Place the Polaroid Pack Film Holder on the back of the camera
3. Be sure that the camera’s four Mount Pins fit into the four holes in the Polaroid Pack Film Holder.
4. Secure the Polaroid Pack Film Holder to the camera body by R-Lock Lever to the body side.
5. Remove the Dark Slide and store it in the Polaroid Pack Film Holders Dark Slide Storage Slot.
The shutter can be released even if the Dark Slide is in the Polaroid Pack Film Holder.
Loading Film
Always load film in subdued light to prevent fogging.
Open the package. Handle the film bag carefully and only hold it by its
edges. Tear the bag along the dotted lineand remove the pack.
Discard the moisture-absorbing card packed with some film packs.
Unlock and open the holder’s back. Push up both ends of the back Door
Latch and open the back all the way. Be sure the dark slide is pushed all
the way into the holder before loading film.
Insert the pack into the holder. Hold the film pack by the edges and
push the closed end of the pack under the light shield, and then
down into the holder.
Make sure the white tabs are not caught between the pack and
the holder. Close and lock the back by holding the back closed and push
down on the center of the latch. The black tab of the safety cover must
stick out in front of the latch.
Remove the safety cover by grasping the black tab, which is the end of
the safety cover. Pull the safety cover all the way out of the holder by
pulling straight and being careful not to tear it. When the safety cover
is removed, a white tab should stick out of the small slot next to the
latch.
Developing Film
Grip the holder with one hand and grab the small white tab with the
thumb and forefinger of the other hand, and then pull t h e tab straight
out all the way without stopping. When you pull the white, a yellow tab
comes out of the door holder. Don't block this door.
Grip the yellow tab at the center and pull it straight out all the way
with moderate speed without hesitating. This starts the development of
the picture, so start timing now. Develop the picture tor the full time
given in the film’s instruction sheet. Don't touch or bend the white
part o f t h e film as this is where the picture is developing.
Separate the print. After the full development time, rapidly strip the print
off the negative starting at the end of the yellow tab. Never allow the print
to drop back down on the wet negative, and don’t touch the surface of the
wet print.
Avoid contact with any of the film’s chemicals.
Care of the Polaroid Pack Film Holder
The rollers must be kept clean or you will not get good results.
The two steel rollers in the Spreader Assembly play a leading part in the development of your
pictures. Inspect them frequently, and if possible, do so before loading each new film pack into
the holder.
Dirty
rollers m ay result in on e o r mo re o f th e following issues : 1) No yellow tab a p p e a r s
when the white tab is pulled; 2) Developer chemicals smeared on the back of your pictures; and 3)
Repeated spots on the face of your prints.
Remove the Spreader Assembly by using both hands to lift its
steel loops, up and out of the holder.
Clean the rollers by wiping them clean with a dry, lint-free cloth.
Never scrape the rollers with any metallic or abrasive object,
including your fingernails. As you clean the rollers, rotate both
rollers to be sure that they are completely clean. On the side w h e r
e the rollers are partially coved there is a narrow slot. Inspect this
area and clean if necessary. If the rollers or the slot are difficult to
clean, use a damp instead of a dry one. Never submerge the rollers
in water. If dirt if found in the tab slot area, carefully open the
narrow door and clean the area.

CAUTION
The Polaroid process uses a caustic jelly which is safely packed within the pack.
If you get any of this material on your skin, wash it off immediately with plenty of soap and
water.
Keep the development chemicals away from your eyes, mouth, clothing and furniture.
If the material comes in contact with your eyes, wash out immediately and seek medical
attention.
Keep discarded materials out of the reach of children and animals.
