starttheengine,rotatethekeytotheON/PREHEAT

position.Oncetheglowplugindicatorlightisoff,

rotatethekeytotheSTARTposition.Releasethekey

whenenginestartsanditwillmoveautomaticallyto

theONposition.Toshutofftheengine,rotatethekey

totheOFFposition.

FuelGauge

Thefuelgaugemeasurestheamountoffuelinthe

fueltank.

Vibratory-PlowControlLever

Thislevercontrolsthevibratoryplow.T oincreasethe

agitation,pushtheleverforward.T odecreasethe

agitation,pulltheleverback.Ifthevibratoryplowisin

use,usethecreep-controllevertodrive.

Diesel-ParticulateFilter(DPF)

CAUTION

Duringregeneration,thedieselparticulate

lterbecomesextremelyhotandcancause

seriousburns.

Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfromthe

engineduringregeneration.

Thedieselparticulatelter(DPF)removesparticulate

matterfromtheexhaustandpreventsitfrombeing

dischargedintotheair.Astheparticulatescollect

inthelter,theengineperformsaregenerationto

preventclogginganddecreasedengineperformance.

Mostregenerationsareperformedinthebackground

andwillnotimpactoperation.Thesebackground

regenerationshappenautomatically,unlessthe

regenerationinhibitswitchisactivated.

Overtime,ashaccumulatesintheDPFanda

backgroundregenerationisnotsufcienttounclogthe

lter.Whenthisoccurs,theregenerationrequestand

checkenginelightsilluminateonthecontrolpanel.At

thistime,thelterrequiresastationaryregeneration

orneedstobeserviced;contactyourAuthorized

ServiceDealerformoreinformation.

high-temperature-exhaustindicatorwhena

regenerationisinprocess.Ifthislightisilluminatedon

itsown,astationaryregenerationispossible.When

aregenerationisrequestedbuttheregeneration

inhibitswitchisactive,thislightblinks.Ifthislight

isilluminatedalongwiththecheckenginelight,the

DPFneedsservicing;contactyourAuthorizedService

Dealerformoreinformation.

Check-EngineLight

Thislightilluminateswhenthereisanengineproblem.

Ifthelightilluminateswhentheengineisrunning,

shutofftheengine,removethekey,andcheckfor

apossiblecause.Ifthislightisilluminatedalong

withtheregenerationrequestlight,yourDPFneeds

theoperator.Theownerisresponsiblefortraining

alloperatorsandmechanics.

•Becomefamiliarwiththesafeoperationofthe

equipment,operatorcontrols,andsafetydecals.

•Alwaysengagetheparkingbrake(ifequipped),

shutofftheengine,removethekey,waitforall

movingpartstostop,andallowthemachine

tocoolbeforeadjusting,servicing,cleaning,or

storingthemachine.

•Knowhowtostopthemachineandshutoffthe

enginequickly.

•Checkthatthesafetyswitches,andshieldsare

attachedandfunctioningproperly.Donotoperate

themachineunlesstheyarefunctioningproperly.

•Locatethepinch-pointareasmarkedonthe

machineandattachments;keepyourhandsand

feetawayfromtheseareas.

•Beforeoperatingthemachinewithanattachment,

ensurethattheattachmentisproperlyinstalled.

whiletheengineisrunningorhot.

•Donotaddordrainfuelinanenclosedspace.

thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such

asonawaterheaterorotherappliance.

•Ifyouspillfuel,donotattempttostarttheengine;

avoidcreatinganysourceofignitionuntilthefuel

vaporshavedissipated.

•Donotllcontainersinsideavehicleoronatruck

ortrailerbedwithaplasticliner.Alwaysplace

containersontheground,awayfromyourvehicle

beforelling.

•Removetheequipmentfromthetruckortrailer

andrefuelitwhileitisontheground.Ifthisisnot

possible,thenrefuelfromaportablecontainer

ratherthanafuel-dispensernozzle.

•Keepthefuel-dispensernozzleincontactwith

therimofthefueltankorcontaineropeningat

alltimesuntilfuelingiscomplete.Donotusea

nozzlelock-opendevice.

AddingFuel

RecommendedFuel

Useonlyclean,freshdieselfuelorbiodieselfuelswith

low(<500ppm)orultralow(<15ppm)sulfurcontent.

Theminimumcetaneratingshouldbe40.Purchase

fuelinquantitiesthatyoucanusewithin180daysto

ensurefuelfreshness.

Usesummer-gradedieselfuel(No.2-D)at

temperaturesabove-7°C(20°F)andwintergrade

(No.1-DorNo.1-D/2-Dblend)belowthat

temperature.Usingwinter-gradefuelatlower

temperaturesprovideslowerashpointandcoldow

characteristics,whicheasesstartingandreducesfuel

lterplugging.

Usingsummer-gradefuelabove-7°C(20°F)
