Position the upper handle onto the lower
handle and secure with the hardware
removed in Step 1.
A. Remove the wing knob, saddle washer,
handle tab and carriage screw
from each side of the lower handle.
B. Slide one of the cable ties
from the right side
of the lower handle
up to the cross member.

Tighten the cable ties on the left side of
the lower handle and the cross member
to secure the cables in place. Trim off
any excess material of cable ties.
A push clip is included on the cable tie found
on the right side of the lower handle. If it’s not
already in place, push the clip into the hole
in the handle before tightening the cable tie
and trimming off any excess material.

Move throttle control
into the Fast position.
Move the choke control
into the Choke
position.
Push primer
between three
and five times.
Insert the key into the
key switch until the key
snaps into place.
Do not turn the key!
A. Grasp the recoil starter handle and pull the rope
out slowly until you feel drag.
B. Without allowing the rope to retract, continue
pulling the rope with one rapid full arm stroke
and allow the rope slowly to the original
position.
C. When engine starts, slowly move choke knob
into the Run position. If the engine fails to start
after three pulls, repeat steps 11 and 12 again.
Fill fuel tank with clean,
fresh gasoline. Do not fill
above the base of fuel
tank neck.
Check the oil level using
the dipstick. Add oil if
necessary. (Refer to the
Operator’s Manual)
