Our own Brand Power Supply Information
Our own power supplies all bear our registered trademark PP as above. We hold all CE, FCC, ROHS
and LVD safety documentation for our AC adapters. Copies of these test certicates are available
upon request from us. Simply contact us and we will be happy to supply you.
We also put all our AC adapters through a series of different safety tests to ensure the quality of the
product you receive is above satisfactory.
We batch test our power supplies in many ways, the rst step is thoroughly checking the earth bond-
ing to ensure that it is earthed.
The next step is to test the power supply whilst it is being used. During this process we will ensure
that the cut off point for current being drawn in is not signicantly greater than the capacity of the
power supply.
The power supply will then be set up to draw in a large current, this test is done to ensure that it will
fold (shut down) if a bigger current is trying to be drawn than the capacity of the power supply.
The nal step is to make certain that the stated voltage of the adapter is correct when drawing
current and when not drawing current. Mainly to make sure that the power supply is not drawing in
more current than needed.
If you have any problems that bear our trademark please do not hesitate to contact us and we will
resolve for you.
Original Power Supplies
All original AC adapters that we supply with our products are PAT tested with the laptops that they
come with to be electrically safe. This is part of the procedures our suppliers do when they are re-
cycling these laptops from customers. If our suppliers do not follow this procedure we will PAT test
the used AC adapters ourselves. All safety and conformity certication will be held by the original
manufacturer. This is usually available on their website or by requesting it from them by email. If you
are having issues obtaining these certicates from the original equipment manufacturer please do
not hesitate to contact us and we will obtain it for you.

Original Batteries
All original batteries that we supply with are tested to be as good as new. They will have a very low cycle count
(a cycle is when a battery is charged and discharged) and will have at least 90% of their battery life left. We
guarantee that the batteries will work for 6 months along with the device. However due to the nature of batteries
and how they wear out we cannot guarantee how long all safety and conformity certication will be held by the
original manufacturer. This is usually available on their website or by requesting it from them by email. If you
are having issues obtaining these certicates from the original equipment manufacturer please do not hesitate

Calibrating Your Computer’s Battery For The Best Performance
The battery has an internal microprocessor which provides an estimate of the amount of energy in the battery
as it charges and discharges. The battery needs to be recalibrated from time to time to keep the onscreen
battery time and percent display accurate. You should perform this procedure when you rst use your battery
and then every few months thereafter.
1. Disconnect the power adapter and use your battery until the laptop shuts down.
2. Plug the power adapter in and fully charge your laptops battery to 100%. Upon initial use (or after
a prolonged storage period) the battery may require three to four charge/discharge cycles before
achieving maximum performance. The charging process should last at least around 14 hours.
You have to rst discharge your battery until the laptop shuts down before you recharge it to 100% for calibra-
tion. After that, you can connect and disconnect the power adapter when the battery is at any charge level.
Tip: When the battery reaches “empty” the computer is forced into sleep mode. The battery actually keeps
back a reserve beyond “empty” to maintain the computer in sleep for a period of time. Once the battery is truly
exhausted, the computer is forced to shut down. At this point, any open les could be lost.
Battery Storage
Batteries may be damaged if stored for prolonged periods with a closed circuit. If the battery will not be in use
for a month or longer, it is recommended that it’s removed from the device, 60% - 80% charged and stored in a
cool, dry and clean place. A charged battery will eventually lose its charge and be damaged if unused. It may
therefore be necessary to recharge the battery after a certain storage period. It’s good to use the battery at least
once a month to ensure good storage status.
Battery Safety
Do not short-circuit. A short-circuit may cause severe damage to the battery. Do not drop, hit or otherwise abuse
8
the battery as this may result in the exposure of the cell contents, which are corrosive. Do not expose the bat-
tery to heat sources, moisture or rain. Keep the battery away from re or other sources of extreme heat. Do not
incinerate. Exposure of battery to extreme heat may result in an explosion. Don’t try to disassemble, repair or
change the battery pack which could cause over-heating or re. Corrosive alkaline solutions or other electrolyte
leakage would lead to re or personal injury and death. Don’t puncture the battery with sharp materials.
Quick Q & A Session:
Q: How long will the new battery power the laptop?
A: Battery run-time on a laptop is difcult to determine. Actual battery run time depends upon the power
demands made by the equipment. The use of the screen, the hard drive and other accessories results in an addi-
tional drain upon the battery, effectively reducing its run time. The total run-time of the battery is also dependent
upon the design of the equipment.
Q: Why is the battery capacity lowered while left unused?
A: Due to inuences of ambient humidity and non-absolute insulation environment, batteries have a
phenomenon of self-consumption. Dependent upon the quality, the charge would decline around 1% every
three to four days, so it is quite normal if the charge has lowered.
Q: Should I take out the battery when using the AC adapter?
A: Usually the laptop charging function starts working when the battery charge is at less than 95%.
Because natural consumption phenomenon exists, it does not make a difference whether you take the
battery out or keep it remaining in laptop. We suggest you keep it inside the laptop, it could prevent data
loss if the AC adapter is interrupted. If you want to take the battery out, we suggest you put it in dry/cool
place, and remember to use the battery at least once a month to keep it active.
Q: Battery still shows at 0% even after 20 hours of charging and the laptop immediately shuts down when
AC adapter is unplugged, what’s the problem?
A: The rst thing you need to do is check the contact between the laptop and battery, if the contact is not
good, the battery cannot be charged, the laptop battery slot may become disgured after long periods of
use. Under such circumstances, please take out the battery and replace it inside the laptop several times
to ensure better contact. When you hear a click, it means the contact is good. Repeating this can solve
the problem, especially with IBM laptops.
Q: The battery is not discharging and the laptop immediately shuts down after unplugging the AC adapter
when the battery is charged to a certain percentage or even 100%, why?
A: This could be due to your room temperature. If you are somewhere with a very high temperature, the
battery will automatically protect itself, and the laptop start up program would stop working. Restart your
laptop after one hour and try again.
9
Q: My laptop could not recognize the battery and shows the message “The battery is not compatible with
this computer model.”, and the indicator keeps blinking, what’s wrong with it?
A: This means the battery is not compatible and you will need to contact your vendor for a replacement
battery.
Q: My laptop immediately shuts down when I put in the battery, however it works well when the battery is
taken out, why?
A: This means the battery is dead and it will need replacing.
Q: My battery always causes my laptop to shut down without any warning, it’s happened several times and
now it can only be used for several minutes after being fully charged, why?
A: If this happens you will need to calibrate your battery. (‘Calibrating Your Computer’s Battery For The
Best Performance’) If this doesn’t solve the problem you’ll need to contact your vendor.
Q: When I charged the battery for the rst time, it still showed 30% after hours of charging, why? How can
I charge it to 100%?
A: If this happens you will need to calibrate your battery. (‘Calibrating Your Computer’s Battery For The
Best Performance’) If this doesn’t solve the problem you’ll need to contact your vendor.
Q: Why did my laptop show that the battery is fully charged after just 10 minutes of charging?
A: If this happens you will need to calibrate your battery. (‘Calibrating Your Computer’s Battery For The
Best Performance’) If this doesn’t solve the problem you’ll need to contact your vendor.
Q: My battery lasted 3 hours after the rst charge but it couldn’t take charge the second time, is it faulty?
A: If this happens you will need to calibrate your battery. (‘Calibrating Your Computer’s Battery For The
Best Performance’) If this doesn’t solve the problem you’ll need to contact your vendor.
