Speaker Buttons and Ports
Mode Lights: There are 3 lights to indicate the mode setting. WIFI is a solid white light that
indicates Wi-Fi
®
mode. BT is a blue light that indicates Bluetooth
®
mode which blinks when
ready to pair and solid when paired and connected to a Bluetooth
®
device. AUX is a solid green
light that indicates LINE IN mode.

3. Download the Muzo Player App
The Muzo Player app is required to connect and control the speaker with Wi-Fi
®
. Download the app onto
a smartphone or tablet from either an app store or QR codes.
Download the Muzo Player App from an App Store Steps
1. Select a smartphone or tablet that can be connected to a Wi-Fi
®
connection.
2. Find and open an app store on the smartphone or tablet. Common app stores are Play
Store, Android Market, Google App and App Store.
3. Search for Muzo Player” and locate the app.
4. Download the Muzo Player app onto the smartphone or tablet. The Muzo Player app icon is now displayed on the
smartphone or tablet (see Figure 3 Muzo Player App Icon). The app can be located in an app folder or on one of
the displayed screens with other apps.
Download the Muzo Player from a QR Code Steps
1. Select a smartphone or tablet that can be connected to a
Wi-Fi
®
connection.
2. Find and open a QR reader app on the smartphone or
tablet.
3. Scan one of the QR codes on this page (see Figure 4 QR
Codes for the Muzo Player App).
4. Open the Muzo Player app store page.
5. Download the Muzo Player app onto the smartphone or tablet. The Muzo Player app icon is now displayed on the
smartphone or tablet (see Figure 3 Muzo Player App Icon). The app can be located in an app folder or on one of
the displayed screens with other apps.

4. Connect the Speaker to Wi-Fi
®
The Muzo Player app is required to connect the speaker to Wi-Fi
®
. If the Muzo Player app has not been downloaded onto a
smartphone or tablet then first complete the Download the Muzo Player App section (see page 4). Once successfully
downloaded, use the following steps to connect the speaker to a local Wi-Fi
®
network.
Connect the Speaker to Wi-Fi
®
Steps
1. Find and connect a smartphone or tablet with the Muzo Player app to a local Wi-Fi
®
network.
2. Open the Muzo Player app. A “Searching for MUZO Wireless Hi-Fi System…” text will be
displayed on the screen. Press [Wi-Fi Setup Wizard] (see Figure 5 Muzo Player App
Searching for a Wi-Fi
®
Network).
3. Select [YOUR WIRELESS_2.4G]. Do NOT select [YOUR WIRELESS_5G] because this
will not connect with the UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
speaker (see Figure 6 Muzo Player App Wi-Fi
®
Network Setting). Then press [Next]
4. Enter the local Wi-Fi
®
password (see Figure 7 Wi-Fi
®
Network Password). Then press
[Next]
5. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds on the front of the speaker (see Figure 8
Power Button). The white LED light will begin to flash.

6. Wait until a chime is heard then press the WPS button on the back of the speaker (see
Figure 9 WPS Button). The speaker will state “Searching for Wi-Fi
®
connection”. Press
[Next] and then the speaker will state “Waiting for Wi-Fi
®
connection (see Figure 10

Setup Mode).
7. Wait for the connection to be made between the speaker and the smartphone or tablet
(see Figure 11 Muzo Player App Searching for the Speaker). The wait could be take up
to 1 minute.
8. Observe the smartphone or tablet screen display “Device is connected to (insert local Wi-
Fi
®
network name) successfully” and then the speaker state “Wi-Fi
®
connected”. Then
press [Next] (see Figure 12 Muzo Player App Connected to the Speaker).

9. Observe the displayed Muzo Player app’s DEVICE LIST screen confirming a successful
Wi-Fi
®
setup and connection. The user may now operate the Muzo Player app to play
audio on the speaker (see Figure 13 Muzo Player App DEVICE LIST Screen).
5. The Muzo Player App Overview
The Muzo Player app has many unique audio features to allow a user to easily find the perfect audio and play on the UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speaker. The Muzo Player app has three screens to operate audio.
DEVICE LIST Screen
Once the UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speaker is connected to the local Wi-Fi
®
network and the Muzo Player app
is opened on the smartphone or tablet then the opening screen will be the DEVICE LIST (see
Figure 14 Muzo Player App DEVICE LIST Screen). The Muzo Player app allows up to 8 UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
speakers to be connected simultaneously. Each connected speaker will display as a
“DEVICE” and play the same or different audio. The audio being
played will be displayed next to that device. To connect multiples
speakers, see the Connect and Manage Multiple UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speakers section (see page 16)
Music Player Screen
Swipe the screen to the right when on the DEVICE LIST screen and
the Music Player screen will be displayed (see Figure 15 Muzo Player App
Music Player Screen). The Music Player will play selected audio from one of
the audio apps found on the Dashboard, off of a smartphone/tablet or the
micro SD card. Skip forwards or backwards through playlists, play/pause
audio and save favorite stations/audio on the Muzo Player app.

Dashboard Screen
Swipe the screen to the right twice or click < symbol in the upper left
corner on the DEVICE LIST screen and the Dashboard will be
displayed (see Figure 16 Muzo Player App Dashboard Screen).
The Dashboard has audio apps that allow a user to search the
internet for music, sports, news, podcasts and more. A user can search by
genre, location, and language using audio providers like Spotify,
iHeartRadio and TuneIn. Access playlists and saved favorite audio. A
user can switch from the Wi-Fi
®
setting to either LINE IN, Bluetooth
®
or the micro SD card to access other audio sources.
Add or Remove Audio Apps from the Dashboard Steps
1. Press [Add More Services] on the Dashboard. A screen will be displayed that shows all
the available audio apps (see Figure 17 Muzo Player App Add More Services Screen).
2. Select which audio apps to be displayed on the Dashboard by pressing the dot next to
the app’s name and swipe the dot to the right. A green background next to the dot
signals the app will be displayed on the Dashboard. Swipe the dot to the left to remove
the app from the Dashboard.
3. Press the < symbol in to upper left corner of the screen to return to the Dashboard
screen.

6. TuneIn App Overview
TuneIn is one of the audio apps on the Muzo Player app Dashboard. TuneIn is the easiest audio app to find music from over
100,000 radio stations and more than 4,000,000 podcasts streaming from every continent, even Antarctica. There are radio
stations covering music, sports, news and talk in various languages.
TuneIn Navgation Steps
1. Setup the UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
speaker to the Muzo Player app (see Connect the Speaker
to Wi-Fi
®
on page 5).
2. Open the Muzo Player app.
3. Swipe the screen to the right twice or click < symbol in the upper left corner on the
DEVICE LIST screen and the Dashboard will be displayed.
4. Press [TuneIn] (see Figure 18 TuneIn Selection).
5. Observe the TuneIn app menu of audio selections. Choose the desired audio from
local radio, music, talk, sports and podcasts. Audio selection can be filtered by
location and language (see Figure 19 TuneIn App Menu Screen).

7. iHeartRadio App Overview
iHeartRadio is one of the audio apps on the Muzo Player app Dashboard. The app has over 1,500 radio stations or a user can
create commercial-free and all-music custom stations featuring selected songs from a favorite artist. iHeartRadio has one of
the best search functions that can look up specific songs, artists and albums compared to other audio apps on the Muzo
Player app Dashboard. The search function also produces results of similar music allowing a user to easily discover new
music.
iHeartRadio Navgation Steps
1. Setup the UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
speaker to the Muzo Player app (see Connect the
Speaker to Wi-Fi
®
on page 5).
2. Open the Muzo Player app.
3. Swipe the screen to the right twice or click < symbol in the upper left corner on
the DEVICE LIST screen and the Dashboard will be displayed.
4. Press [iHeartRadio] (see Figure 20 iHeartRadio Selection).
5. Login into iHeartRadio with an email address and password. If a user does not
have an iHeartRadio account, press [Sign Up] and follow the displayed
instructions to set up an account (See Figure 21 iHeartRadio Login Screen).
6. Observe the iHeartRadio menu of audio selections. Choose the desired
audio from live radio stations, custom radio stations and podcasts (see
Figure 22 iHeartRadio Menu Screen).

8. Spotify App Overview
Spotify is one of the audio apps on the Muzo Player app Dashboard. The app has millions of tracks to select from with a
friendly search function. Also a user can browse music collections of friends, artists and celebrities, or create a radio station
based on specific artists.
A Premium Spotify account is required when using the UGO
®
speaker connected to Wi-
Fi
®
. However, a free Spotify account can be used when using the UGO
®
speaker connected to
Bluetooth
®
or LINE IN (see Connect the Speaker to a Bluetooth
®
Device on page 12 or
Connect the Speaker Using the LINE IN Port on page 13).
Spotify Navgation When Connected to Wi-Fi
®
Steps
1. Download the Spotify app on to the smartphone or tablet from an app store. Common
app stores are Play Store, Android Market, Google App and App Store.
2. Locate and open the Spotify app.
3. Press [Create Account] and follow the displayed instructions to setup a Premium
Spotify account. After the account is setup, always login into the Spotify app
with the user’s email address and password or a Facebook account.

4. Open the Muzo Player app.
5. Swipe the screen to the right twice or click < symbol in the upper left corner on the
DEVICE LIST screen and the Dashboard will be displayed
6. Press [Spotify] (see Figure 23 Spotify Selection). The user will be redirected to the
Spotify app.
7. Observe the Spotify menu of audio selections. Choose the desired audio from music
collections and custom radio stations (see Figure 24 Spotify Menu Screen).
8. Play the audio. A music player window will be displayed.
9. Press the [Devices Available] located at the bottom of the music player
window (see Figure 25 Devices Available Selection).
10. Select the UGO
®
speaker option. Then the audio will be heard from the speaker.
Return to the Muzo Player app by pressing the back button on the
smartphone/tablet or press the MUZO Player app icon on the smartphone/tablet.
Use the Spotify app to select audio and use the Muzo Player app to link or unlink multiple
speakers (see the Connect and Manage Multiple UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speakers section on page 16).
In addition, use the Muzo Player app to change the speaker’s audio channels from Stereo
(LR) to Left Channel (L) or Right Channel (R) and control volume for individual speakers (see
the DEVICE LIST Screen section on page 7).

9. Connect the Speaker to a Bluetooth

The UGO
®

speaker can be connected to a smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth
®
technology.
1. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds on the front of the speaker (see Figure 26 Power Button). The white
LED light will begin to flash.
2. Press, hold and release the Mode button on the front of the speaker (see Figure 27 Mode Button). The blue LED
light for BT is displayed and will be flashing.
3. Find a smartphone or tablet with a Bluetooth
®
connection then turn ON the Bluetooth
®
connection (see Figure 28 Android Bluetooth
®
ON/OFF Connection Example).
4. Observe the window that will be displayed on the smartphone or tablet of found nearby
Bluetooth
®
devices. Select the [MUSOS Y5-PRO] device (see Figure 29 Android Found
Bluetooth
®
Devices Example).
5. Hear a beep from the speaker and observe the blue LED light go from flashing to non-flashing confirming a
successful Bluetooth
®
connection.
6. Click [Done] and select a desired audio or music player on the smartphone or tablet to play on the speaker.

10. Connect the Speaker Using the LINE IN Port
The UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speaker can be connected to another audio player device using a 3.5mm cable.
1. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds on the front of the speaker (see Figure 30 Power
Button). The white LED light will begin to flash.
2. Press, hold and release the Mode button on the front of the speaker (see Figure 31 Mode Button). The blue LED
light for BT is displayed.
3. Press the Mode button again. The blue LED light will turn to a green
LED light for AUX.
4. Turn ON and setup the audio player device. Common audio player devices are iPods and MP3 devices.
5. Connect the audio player device to a 3.5mm cable. Then using the other end of the cable connect it
to the back of the speaker in the LINE IN port (see Figure 32 LINE IN Port).
6. Play the audio player device and the audio from the speaker will
confirm a successful LINE IN connection.
11. Connect the Speaker to a Micro SD Card
The UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speaker can have a micro SD card with audio files inserted to play audio from the speaker:
1. Obtain a micro SD card (see Figure 33 Micro SD Card Example).
2. Insert the micro SD card into an audio player device or computer. Then download the desired
audio files onto the card.
3. Remove the micro SD card from the audio player device or computer.
4. Insert the micro SD card into the back of the speaker in the Micro SD
port. Press the card in so the card’s text is facing down.
5. Press until a click is heard and then release. The micro SD card will be safely secured to the
speaker (see Figure 34 Micro SD Card Port).
6. Turn ON the speaker by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds
on the front of the speaker. The white LED light will begin to flash.
7. Connect a smartphone or tablet with the Muzo Player app to the speaker (see Download the Muzo Player App on
page 4).

8. Open the Muzo Player app to the DEVICE LIST screen. Then press the arrow pointing left
(<) in the upper left of the screen (see Figure 35 Muzo Player App DEVICE LIST
Screen).
9. Observe the displayed Dashboard screen. Then press [My Music] (see Figure 36 Muzo
Player App Dashboard Screen).
10. Observe the MY MUSIC screen displayed (see Figure 37 Muzo Player App MY MUSIC
screen).
11. Press the displayed micro SD card icon or USB Disk icon. An audio list from the micro SD card will be displayed.
12. Press and play the desired audio. Audio heard from the speaker will confirm a successful micro SD card setup.

12. Connect the Speaker to Stored Music
The UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speaker can play audio stored on the smartphone or tablet by the Muzo Player app. This can be favorite
playlists or a music library.
1. Connect a smartphone or tablet with the Muzo Player app to the speaker (see Download the Muzo Player App on
page 4).
2. Open the Muzo Player app to the DEVICE LIST screen. Then press the arrow pointing left
(<) in the upper left of the screen (see Figure 38 Muzo Player App DEVICE LIST
Screen).
3. Observe the displayed Dashboard screen. Then press [Search] (see Figure 39 Muzo
Player App Dashboard Search Location).
4. Observe the displayed Search screen (see Figure 40 Search Screen).
5. Enter the name of the desired audio and press the enter button on the device’s keypad. A
search results page will be displayed. The search speed is affected by the number of
other operating apps or playing audio from another channel on the smartphone or tablet. If
the search speed is slow, close nonessential operating apps or power down the
smartphone or tablet then restart the smartphone or tablet and repeat the Connect the
Speaker to Stored Music steps.
6. Select the desired audio and then a Music Player Screen will be displayed.
7. Press the Play button and the audio will be head through the speaker. The stored audio
can also be played through multiple speakers or a specific speaker out of multiple (see the
Connect and Manage Multiple UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speakers
section on page 16).

13. Setup a Music Player App Not Supported by the Muzo
Player App
The UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speaker can play other audio apps other than the audio apps found on the Muzo Player app.
1. Find a smartphone or tablet with a Bluetooth
®
connection.
2. Find and open an app store on the smartphone or tablet. Common app stores are Play Store, Android Market, Google
App and App Store.
3. Download a favorite music app player from the app store. Common players are Google Play Music, Apple Music and
Amazon Music. Setup the music player with desired audio files.
4. Connect the music app player by either a Bluetooth connection or the LINE IN port (see Connect the Speaker to a
Bluetooth
®
Device on page 12 or Connect the Speaker Using the LINE IN Port on page 13).
14. Connect and Manage Multiple UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speakers
A unique feature of the UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speaker is it allows for a multi-room mode of connecting up
to 8 UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
speakers to a smartphone or tablet with the Muzo Player app. Transmission
range is dependent on the local Wi-Fi
®
network.
Connect Additional Speakers Steps
1. Ensure any previously connected speakers are turned OFF before starting this process.
2. Setup and connect a UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speaker to the local Wi-Fi
®
network using the Muzo
Player app (see the Connect the Speaker to Wi-Fi
®
section on page 5). This will be
speaker 1.
3. Repeat Step 2 for speakers 2 8.
4. Observe on the Muzo Player app DEVICE LIST with speakers 1 8 displayed (see Figure

Single Mode Steps Assign Each Speaker to Play Unique Audio
1. Turn ON all the UGO
®
Wi-Fi
®
Speakers and connect to the local Wi-Fi
®
network (see the Connect the Speaker to Wi-
Fi
®
section on page 5). If the speakers have been connected to the local Wi-Fi
®
network before then they will
automatically connect.
2. Press and open the Muzo Player app icon.
3. Observe the Muzo Player app DEVICE LIST screen to see all the displayed speakers.
4. Assign an audio source to a specific speaker by touching the green musical note next to the speaker. Select one of the

After selected an audio source, close the Muzo Player app on the smartphone or tablet to prolong battery life since the

Speakers Steps - Multiple Speakers Playing the Same Audio
1. Open the Muzo Player app to the DEVICE LIST screen.
2. Press and hold a speaker’s icon.
3. Drag it on top of the speaker’s icon that is above it (see Figure 42 Dragging a
Speaker Icon).
4. Release the icon and the bottom speaker will automatically synch to the top
speaker.
To synch additional speakers repeat Steps 1 - 4 but make sure that each
dragged speaker icon is placed on top of the first speaker icon.

2. Press and open the Muzo Player app icon.
3. Observe the Muzo Player app DEVICE LIST screen to see all the displayed
speakers.
4. Press and hold a speakers icon.
5. Drag it below the dotted line and release. This will separate the speaker and put it into single mode a.k.a. Solo Mode
(see Figure 43 Solo Mode).
To play the same speaker configuration, just shut all the speakers and the Muzo Player app OFF and then turn ON all the
speakers and the Muzo Player app the next time when both are used. The Muzo Player app will remember the speaker
configuration when turned OFF.
To play a different speaker configuration or use them with a different device, unlink the desired speakers before turning
them all OFF and the Muzo Player app. If the user forgot to unlink the desired speakers before turning them all OFF and
the Muzo Player app, turn ON all the speakers and the Muzo player app then unlink the desired speakers or press the Reset
button on the back of the speaker.
