Operation System & Art Program Compatibility.
1.2.1 OS Compatibility
GAOMON PD1320 Pen Display is NOT a standalone product. It cannot work alone. It has to be connected
to a laptop or desktop computer which runs Windows 7 or above version OS, or Mac 10.12 or above
version OS. It doesn’t work with Chrome OS, or Linux Os.

1.2.2 Art Program Compatibility
Our tablets are compatible with most drawing software. Free software like Krita, gimp, fireplaca,
Meidibang, inscape,blender,etc. Or paid software like photoshop, adobe illustrator, clip studio paint,
sketchbook, Sai version2,etc.

2.How to set up PD1320 on Windows/Mac?
2.1
How to set up on Windows OS?
1). Please well connect all of the cables: USB , HDMI, Power Cord.
2). Close all art programs and anti-virus program first.
Make sure there is no anti-virus program running here.(You can still run anti-virus program while the
issue get confirmed and fixed)
3).Please uninstall the previous GAOMON driver clearly first.
Go to Control Panel---Programs and Features---uninstall current exist GAOMON Driver--also make
sure no other brands tablet driver. (VERY IMPORTANT).
4).Download driver here: https://GAOMON.net/ and install the driver.
Please right-click the driver setup icon, whose file extension is ‘.exe, in the installation file and select
Run as administrator’ from the dropdown list.
(Run as an administrator before installation , not after installation.)

5)After installing GAOMON Driver, please test whether the pen can move cursor like a mouse normally.
If the pen can move cursor like mouse normally, you can customize express keys inside GAOMON Driver
now.
6)And please download drawing programs online to use with GAOMON PD1320.Our tablets are
compatible with most drawing software. Free software like Krita, gimp, fireplaca, Meidibang,
inscape,blender,etc. Or paid software like photoshop, adobe illustrator, clip studio paint, sketchbook, Sai
version2,etc.

2.2
How to set up on Mac OS ?
1).
Download driver here: https://GAOMON.net/
-- Click the installation package ----Drag 'GAOMONTablet ' icon upon 'Applications' and hold on for a
while until it enters in 'Applications' folder---- Double click 'GAOMONTablet' and select 'Open' to run the
driver. Now the GAOMON Driver is installed.

If your Mac OS version are mac 10.14 , 10.15, Mac Big sur or above OS , please kindly remember to
give GAOMON Driver permission to normally function on yuor mac. If your Mac OS is lower than Mac
10.14, please skip following part.
1)After installation, press one of the tablet express key and it will pop out a box 'Accessibility Access' .
Then click 'Open System Preferences' to bring out 'Security & Privacy' box. Don’t click “Deny”!
2).
Click the lock icon and input your password-->Tick 'TabletDriverAgent'--> Click '' and it will
bring out another box.

Go Applications--> find out 'GAOMON Tablet' and click 'Open'
4).
Tick 'GAOMONTablet' circled in red and click the lock icon. Then we can draw freely on the tablet.
Now you get the permission to use GAOMON Tablet Driver on your Mac OS.

How to set up with Android device?
Step 1: Buy a Type-C to Type-C cable (not included in the package);
Step 2: Connect the pen display to smart phone with the Type-C to Type-C cable.
Note: In case there is no response on the screen or a flashing screen occurs, it is suggested to reconnect the cable, and
buy a power adapter (gauge: 5V; not included in the package) for connection to the other type-C port on the device to
ensure the power sufficiency. For phone charging, charger that supports PD protocol is suggested.

Please make sure your Android phone supports'Dex','Desktop', or 'TNT' mode. Visit GAOMON website for compatible

Two ways to connect PD1320 with Windows/mac laptop
Scenario 1
Step 1: Connect the pen display to PC with the HDMI cable;
Step 2: Connect the pen display to PC with the Type-C male plug inserted into the pen display, and the USB-A male plug
inserted into the computer. (The red USB-A male plug is for power supply)
Note: If there is no response on the pen display or a flashing screen occurs, the other USB-A male plug left shall also be
inserted into the PC or a power adapter, and please make sure there are two USB-A ports on the PC.
If you use a desktop computer, please make sure to plug the HDMI cable into graphic card, but not in mother board.
If there is no HDMI port on your computer, please buy extra HDMI adapter to use with GAOMON PD1320. For example:
DVI to HDMI adapter, VGA to HDMI adapter, Display port to HDMI adapter, Type-C to HDMI adapter.

Scenario 2
Step 1: Buy a Full-featured Type-C to Type-C cable (not included in the package);
Step 2: Connect the pen display (both Type-C ports can do the work) to PC with the Type-C to Type-C cable.
Note: Please make sure the Type-C ports of the PC supports USB3.1 and DP1.2 protocol.

How to set up with game switch?
Step 1: Buy a Type-C to Type-C cable (not included in the package);
Step 2: Connect the pen display to game switch with the full-featured Type-C to Type-C cable.
Step 3: Connect the Type-C to Dual USB-A Cable to the provide power for PD1320. The red USB-A male plug is for
power supply

OSD Setting & How to adjust Color?
OSD Settings
1. When the headphone jack is not connected, the thumbwheel switch can be used to wheel up/ down to
increase/decrease the display brightness;
2. When the headphone jack is connected, the thumbwheel switch can be used to wheel up/down the volume;
3. Press the thumbwheel switch lightly to call up the OSD menu, where the power button will therefore be used for
auto-setting. Users can wheel the thumbwheel switch up for increase and down for decrease;
MENU: call up the OSD menu/OK;
AUTO: return to the previous page when the OSD menu is running;
+: navigate upwards or increase the value when the OSD menu is running;
- : navigate downwards or decrease the value when the OSD menu is running;
Quit OSD: Press the power button to quit the OSD menu.
How to Adjust Color?
Please kinldy note that, Actually the color difference exists in every monitors.Even it is the same computer
brand and same model, there exists certain color difference between 2 computers monitors. But if the
color difference is too large which exceed the range, we can try to adjust it.
Please adjust the color by followings: Go to RGB-Color--Color Effect--Enter ''USER''--Then you can adjust
the hue & saturation of RGBCYM here.

3.Displaying Issues & Solutions.
3.1 How to do when it's indicating ''No Signal--Saving Power''
Firstly, please kindly note that ‘‘No Signal’’ issue is related to the HDMI connection. Please make sure the HDMI cable
is well connected between PD1320 & computer.
Secondly, If you use windows computer, please press ‘‘Windows+p’’ on keyboard, and make sure to choose
Duplicate or Extended mode. Don’t choose ‘‘Projector Only’’ or ‘‘Computer Only’’ . Otherwise it will cause no signal
problems.
Thirdly, Is there an HDMI interface on the computer? Or are you using a HDMI adaptor?
If you are using a HDMI adaptor, please make sure it’s not USB to HDMI adapter. USB is mainly for data transmission.
It’s not good for video/signal transmission. We recommend you to use DVI/VGA/Display port/type-c to HDMI
adapter depending on whichever is on your device.
Fourthly, please find/borrow another computer which comes with a HDMI port to test. Please make sure to plug the
HDMI cable into graphic card, but not in mother board.
If the No Signal issue remains after trying above solutions, please take a video and send to GAOMON SERVICE. We
will apply warranty and make everything right for you. Don’t worry!
3.2 How to do when it's all black without displaying anything, and no indicator
light.
1) Please kindly note that, if it doesn’t display anything and no indicator light, it should be related to the power cord
connection. Please kindly check whether you have well connected the power cord.
2) Please change a different electricity socket.
3) If the issue still remains, please take a video and send to GAOMON SERVICE. We will apply warranty and make
everything right for you. Don’t worry!

3.3 How to do when the PD1320 only displays wallpaper of computer, without
any applications?
If PD1320 only shows the wallpaper of your computer, but without any programs, it is actually the normal
situation of the extend mode. You can set Duplicate Mode if you are not familiar with Extend Mode. So
PD1320 will display exact same with your computer monitor.
Duplicate on Windows:
Please press ‘’Windows+p’’ on keyboard, and make sure to choose Duplicate mode
Duplicate on Mac:
Set Mirror Mode: Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner---System preference---choose “Display’’ ---
Select the ‘’Mirror Display.’’

4.Pen Issues & Solutions
4.1 How to do when GAOMON driver indicating ''No Device Detected'' and pen
not working?
1) Please kindly note that it’s usually related to the USB connection. Please kindly make sure the USB cable is well
connected between PD1320 and computer.
2) Please change a different USB port on your computer to test.
3) Please test on another computer. No need install GAOMON Driver. Let’s see whether the pen can respond when
without GAOMON Driver ininstalled on another computer.
4) If the issue remains, please kindly give test result to GAOMON SERVICE. We will apply warranty and make
everything right for you. Don’t worry!
4.2 How to do when the cursor is moving on the computer monitor but not on
PD1320?
If the PD1320 only shows the wallpaper of your computer, but without any programs, it is actually the
normal situation of the extend mode.
And meanwhile if the cursor moves on computer monitor instead of on tablet monitor, you are choosing
the computer monitor as work area inside GAOMON driver right now, but not setting the PD1320 as work
area. So the cursor moves on computer monitor only.
Solution 1: Please open GAOMON Driver--Work Area--Choose PD1320 as work area--Save -- Now you can
use the mouse to move the cursor from computer monitor to PD1320 to work.
Solution 2: If you are not familiar with Extend Mode. So PD1320 will display exact same with your
computer monitor.
Duplicate on Windows:
Please press ‘‘Windows+p’’ on keyboard, and make sure to choose Duplicate mode
Duplicate on Mac:
Set Mirror Mode: Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner,--- ‘‘System preference’’ --- choose ‘‘Display’’ ---
Select the ‘‘Mirror Display.’’

4.3 How to do when the issue only happens in Clip Studio Paint?
Step 1: Please set inside Clip Studio Paint according to following path.
Preference --Tablet --Win tab
Preference--Performance--Allocate to application--100%
Step 2: If the issue remains, please try to reinstall GAOMON Driver. Make sure no other brands tablet driver installed
on your computer please.
4.4 How to do when the issue only happens in GMIP?
Step 1: Please set inside GIMP according to following path.
GIMP-- Edit--Input Devices--Mode: Screen ( remember to select Screen Mode for all of three )---Save.
Step 2: If the issue remains, please try to reinstall GAOMON Driver. Make sure no other brands tablet driver installed
on your computer please.
4.5 How to do when the pen only lags in Photoshop ?
Step 1: Please try to reinstall GAOMON Driver. Make sure no other brands tablet driver installed on your computer
please. Step 1: Please set inside Photoshop according to following path.
Step 2: Edit--Preference-- Uncheck ‘’Use Graphics Processor’’
Step 3: Create a new canvas and zoom in it to 100%.
Step 4: click “Reset Brushes” in brush settings. (As following picture)

4.6 How to calibrate pen cursor?
Step 1: please set your computer under Duplicate Mode/Mirror Mode and test whether the issue remains.
Windows OS: Press ''windows+p'' -- choose ''Duplicate''.
Mac Os: System Preference"------Choose "Displays"----- Click "Arrangement"----Click the "Mirror Displays"
Step 2: if the same issue still exist under Duplicate/Mirror mode, please try to calibrate during GAOMON
Driver:
-Please hold the pen more vertically when calibrate in driver. Don't tilt the pen too much.
- If still cannot get close as you want, try to click ''restore default'' directly and no need to click that 9 points
Step 3: If the issue still happen, please kindly give following test results to GAOMON SERVICE, and let us
give you detail solution by email.
1. Do you use windows or mac OS? Which OS version? desktop or laptop?
2. Does the cursor offset issue occurs in the drawing programs only or it happens everywhere?
If it happens in drawing programs only, please tell me which programs have you tested and which version
of them?
3. How much mm is the distance/gap between the pen nib and cursor? take a video of the it , let us see
whether it is within the normal range.
4. Are you left or right hand user?
5. Are the tablet express keys on your left side or right side?

5.1 How to customize the Express Key functions on digital pen AP50?
1. Open GAOMON driver and go to the “Express Key” interface to start customizing the hotkeys.
2.Click to delete the default settings, and press the key on your keyboard to enter a valid key or a key
combination.
