1.2 Operation System & Art Program Compatibility.

1.2.1 OS Compatibility

GAOMON S830 pen tablet is NOT a standalone product. It cannot work alone. It has to be connected to a

laptop or desktop computer which runs Windows 7 or above version OS, or Mac 10.12 or above version

OS, or Android 6.0 and above(The Android device also need to support OTG function). It doesn’t work

with Chrome OS, or Linux Os.

1.2.2 Art Program Compatibility

Our tablets are compatible with most drawing software. Free software like Krita, gimp, fireplaca,

Meidibang, inscape,blender,etc. Or paid software like photoshop, adobe illustrator, clip studio paint,

sketchbook, Sai version2,etc.

2. How to set up S830 on Windows/Mac?

2.1 How to set up on Windows OS?

1). Please well connect the USB cables.

2). Close all art programs and anti-virus program first.

Make sure there is no anti-virus program running here.(You can still run anti-virus program while the

issue get confirmed and fixed)

3).Please uninstall the GAOMON driver clearly first if you have installed it before.

Go to Control Panel---Programs and Features---uninstall all the GAOMON Driver--also make sure no

other brands tablet driver. (VERY IMPORTANT).

4).Download driver here: https://GAOMON.net/ and install the driver.

Please right-click the driver setup icon, whose file extension is ‘.exe’, in the installation file and select

‘Run as administrator’ from the dropdown list.

(Run as an administrator before installation , not after installation.)

5) .After installing GAOMON Driver, please test whether the pen can move cursor like a mouse normally.

If the pen can move cursor like mouse normally, you can customize express keys inside GAOMON Driver

now.

6)And please download drawing programs online to use with GAOMON S830.Our tablets are compatible

with most drawing software. Free software like Krita, gimp, fireplaca, Meidibang, inscape,blender,etc. Or

paid software like photoshop, adobe illustrator, clip studio paint, sketchbook, Sai version2,etc.

2.2 How to set up on Mac OS ?

1). Download driver here: https://GAOMON.net/

--Click the installation package .

--Drag 'GAOMON Tablet ' icon upon 'Applications' and hold on for a while until it enters in 'Applications'

folder.

--Double click 'GAOMON Tablet' and select 'Open' to run the driver. Now the GAOMON Driver is installed.

If your Mac OS version are mac 10.14 , 10.15, Mac Big sur or above OS , please kindly remember to

give GAOMON Driver permission to normally function on your mac. If your Mac OS is lower than Mac

10.14, please skip following part.

1) .After installation, press one of the tablet express key and it will pop out a box 'Accessibility

Access' . Then click 'Open System Preferences' to bring out 'Security & Privacy' box. Don’t click

“Deny”!

2). Click the lock icon and input your password-->Tick 'TabletDriverAgent'--> Click '＋' and it will

bring out another box.

3). Go Applications--> find out 'GAOMON Tablet' and click 'Open'

4). Tick 'GAOMON Tablet' circled in red and click the lock icon. Then we can draw freely on the tablet.

Now you get the permission to use GAOMON Tablet Driver on your Mac OS.

2.3 How to set up with Android device.

1. Please use Android phone/tablet in portrait mode.

2. Please make sure your phone/tablet OS is Android OS 6.0 or later, and supports OTG function.

3. For some models, you need to go to phone or tablet "Settings", then enable "OTG" function.

4. You may need purchase a USB adapter to make GAOMON tablet connect with your Android phone/tablet. For

example a Type-C to USB adapter, or Micro USB to USB adapter, depending on the USB type of your devices. Notice:

Notes:

1. The pen tablet can work without installing any driver into your phone/tablet.

2. Once connected, the tablet will automatically enter the phone mode, in which the pen can only work in the left gray

area(107.7*60.6mm).

3. If it fails to recognize the tablet as the phone mode, please press the button , at the same time for 3 seconds to

enter phone mode.

4. Please note that the express keys on the pen tablet and the buttons on the pen are not supported in phone mode.

3. Pen Issues & Solutions

3.1 How to do when GAOMON Driver indicating ''No Device Detected'' and

Pen not Working?

1) Please kindly note that it’s usually related to the USB connection. Please kindly make sure the USB cable is well

connected between S830 and computer.

2) Please change a different USB port on your computer to test.

3) Please change a USB cable to have a test. Many other device use “Micro USB cable” too.

4) Please test on another computer. No need install GAOMON Driver. Let’s see whether the pen can respond when

without GAOMON Driver installed on another computer.

5) If the issue remains, please kindly give test result to GAOMON SERVICE. We will apply warranty and make

everything right for you. Don’t worry!

3.2 How to do when the issue only happens in Clip Studio Paint?

Step 1: Please set inside Clip Studio Paint according to following path.

Preference --Tablet --Win tab

Preference--Performance--Allocate to application--100%

Step 2: If the issue remains, please try to reinstall GAOMON Driver. Make sure no other brands tablet driver installed

on your computer please.

3.3 How to do when the issue only happens in GMIP?

Step 1: Please set inside GIMP according to following path.

GIMP-- Edit--Input Devices--Mode: Screen ( remember to select Screen Mode for all of three )---Save.

Step 2: If the issue remains, please try to reinstall GAOMON Driver. Make sure no other brands tablet driver installed

on your computer please.

3.4 How to do when the pen only lags in Photoshop ?

Step 1: Please try to reinstall GAOMON Driver. Make sure no other brands tablet driver installed on your computer

please. Step 1: Please set inside Photoshop according to following path.

Step 2: Edit--Preference-- Uncheck ‘’Use Graphics Processor’’

Step 3: Create a new canvas and zoom in it to 100%.

Step 4: click “Reset Brushes” in brush settings. (As following picture)

4. GAOMON S830 & Osu! Gaming

S830 is plug and play. Once the USB cable is connected, it could move the cursor like mouse.

If you don’t need the pen pressure sensitivity or customizing the work area, express keys etc, you don’t

have to install GAOMON driver. GAOMON S830 works very well in playing Osu!

4.1 How to do when the cursor gets stuck at left top corner when playing Osu!?

Solution: Please cancel the “Raw Input” in Osu while playing with drawing tablet.

Setting steps: Options--> Setting--> Mouse--> Cancel “Raw Input”.

4.2 Two Features of S830 which are good for playing Osu!

4.1.1 Programmable work area.

As we know, setting precise work area is very important when playing Osu! Here is the way to set work area.

1.Adjust the working area by simply dragging the border line of the green rectangle. Taking the driver of version

V.16.1 as an example.

2. By inputting specific numbers to set the work area.

4.1.2 Disable Pen Nib Function

The GAOMON driver supports disabling the pen nib function, which could avoid randomly clicking while playing, which

is recommended to use in Osu!

4.3 How to use S830 with Hawk driver in playing Osu!

Hawk Driver is broadly used and very popular among Osu! players. If you want to use hawk driver with GAOMON

5. Other FAQS

5.1 How to customize Express Key functions in GAOMON driver?

Firstly, please kindly note that express keys are substitute of keyboard keys. If keyboard keys can realize

one function in a drawing program, the GAOMON tablet express keys can make it too.

For example, in Photoshop, keyboard key ‘‘e’’ can realize ‘‘eraser’’ function. If customize one GAOMON

Tablet express keys as letter ‘‘e’’, it can realize ‘‘eraser’’ function inside Photoshop too.

5.1.1 How to set up Express Keys in a drawing programs

1.Open the art program where you want to customize express keys, for example, krita. After you run this program,

you can find it t the the upper right corner of GAOMON Driver. See picture below.

If there has no krita in the dropdown list, please click “Add a Program” and find it in the list.

2. Go to the “Pen Tablet” interface and click “Express Key” to start customizing the hotkeys.

3.Click to delete the default settings, and press the key on your keyboard to enter a valid key or a key

combination.

4.Remember to select “Enable Express Keys” after setting.

5.1.2 How to set up Express Keys in other differnet drawing programs

If you want to set express key functions of another programs, like Photoshop, just open PS and choose it in the upper

right corner of GAOMON driver. Now you can start setting as the above steps.

5.1.3 How to Export & Import Express Key file when changing a computer to use.

When you need change a computer to use your GAOMON Tablet, it’s very inconvenient to set up all express keys in

different drawing programs again. The Export/Import function will save a lot of time.

In the “Settings” interface of GAOMON driver, there are three buttons: 'Export', 'Import' and 'Default'.

Export : This button is used to export shortcut settings that you appoint to Express Keys as a file so you can save it in

your computer folder.

Import : This button is used to import shortcut files that you have saved in a specific folder into GAOMON driver.

Default : This button is to recover Express keys into default settings.

After setting shortcuts in GAOMON driver, click 'Export' button. There will pop out a dialog box named 'save as'.

Type a name, eg. Krita Express Keys, into 'File name' box and click 'save', you will save shortcuts that you assign to

Express Keys of S620 as a file, named Krita Express Keys.
