INTRODUCTION
Ubi Sensor Frame is a frame that can be added to display panels of any size or technology
to make them interactive. The sensor frame is packaged with sensors that can detect very
accurately the position of your finger. It is a true plug and play solution. Snap it onto your
display panel and with no special set up or driver, your display magically turns a touch
screen.
Ubi sensor frame also comes with an array of software tools and apps.
This document provides you all the instructions to set up and use Ubi Sensor Frame.
WHAT IS IN THE PACKAGE
Each package contains the following items
HOW TO SET UP HARDWARE
When you unpack the package, the full set of IR touch frames will look like this: For
frames larger than 90” there will be two extra pieces for each of the longer side.
There is also an additional power supply included for the larger frames. Each frame
is labeled to indicate which corners go with which one. In some of the sized, the
matching corners are coded with color.

detected as an HID device. Try moving your finger inside the frame and make sure
the finger is showing up as a touch point ( or mouse in case of Mac). After testing
disconnect the USB cable.
Now you are ready to paste the frame on the display. Use the provided tape.
Apply the strips of tape on the bezel. Lift up the assembled frame gently and affix

Once the frame is affixed on the display, connect the USB cable again to your
preferred device. The sensor frame should be automaticaly detected and you
should be able to interact with the content on the display now.
INTERACTION
Ubi Sensor Frame can detect up to 10 fingers simultaneously on Windows, Linux and
Android.
On Chrome OS, Ubi Sensor Frame can support multi-touch interaction. The exact
number of touch input depend on the configuration of your Chrome device and its
touch drivers.

Mac OS does not offer support for touch. Therefore, Ubi Sensor Frame will behave like a
mouse on these devices.
In addition to fingers, Ubi Sensor Frame also supports stylus interaction. Ubi Interactive
provides soft touch felt tip stylus upon request. The stylus can avoid finger smudges and
scratches on the display.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Calibrating the display in case of an offset
If your TV does not match up in size exactly with the sensor frame or you did not align
the sensor frame correctly with the TV, you may see an offset between where you touch
and where interaction happens. In order to correct this, we have a special utility. Please
download it from here and proceed as follows.
Ubi Interactive Inc.
www.ubi-interactive.com [email protected]
1. Launch the utility by double clicking. A screen such as the one below will show up
2. Click on the calibration button
3. A window such as the following will appear. Touch on each marked position as
instructed. Once you touch all the four points, your offset should disappear
Using the touchscreen TV as secondary display
When you use Ubi sensor frame on a primary display it works automatically and send
the touch input to the correct display.

However, if your Ubi sensor frame-enabled display is not a primary display, it is not that
simple. You will see that when you touch your display the touch input appears on the
primary display instead.
