Compact without sacrice.
A feature packed bivvy with a
swim friendly footprint.
M3 COMPACT Specication
1. Lay out the ground sheet on the floor where you wish to erect your M3 Compact. The two
hooks attached to the ground sheet must face downwards. A small Aqua label indicates the
doorway and as such is best positioned with the wind coming from behind as this greatly
increases stability in very high winds.
2. Place the M3 Compact in the centre of the ground sheet. Kneel down and open out the poles
of the M3 compact, plugging together the frame sections as you go, taking care not to force the
joints and damaging the spigots. Ensure the spigots are fully inserted and that the poles form
a natural curve.
3. The porch pole must be attached last. Simply plug the porch frame together and slot each
side on to the two aluminium lugs. Do not attempt to assemble the M3 Compact while you are
standing.
4. The assembled frame will be wider than the groundsheet. Attach the two rings on the inside
edges of the frame base plates to the hooks on the groundsheet. This tensions the frame and
takes up any play in the frame.
5. If you do not wish to use the ground sheet, a tension strap can be used. It is essential that
you do not over tension your M3 Compact as this can cause lasting damage and invalidates
your warranty.
6. Peg out the bivvy starting with the aluminium rings either side of the centre seam at the rear
of the M3 Compact using the groundsheet as a guide.
It is advisable that the rst time you use the bivvy it is pitched at home in
your garden to familiarise yourself with your new purchase.
Take care to nd a suitable location in which to pitch your bivvy and take
note of the direction of any strong winds. You should take into consideration
factors such as the contours of the ground and that the ground is suitable
to peg down securely.
7. Pull the two ribs forward and insert two pegs through the rings either side of the front door.
On flat ground use the centre rings, the bottom rings on ground sloping away from you and the
top ring on ground sloping up.
8. Now go around the M3 Compact and place one peg in every peg ring. To ensure a taut groundsheet
- as you peg out your M3 Compact, insert the peg through both the aluminium ring of the bivvy
and that of the ground sheet. The dra skirt can now be tucked under the groundsheet.
9. The groundsheet is slightly oversized to allow for uneven ground, so do not put excessive force
on the material of the M3 Compact while pegging out. The groundsheet is only a rough guide and
adjustments can be made in any direction at the end of the process.
10. Finally the small frame support system (supplied) should be installed between the front pole
and the porch pole.
11. The door is tted with two-way zips so it may be opened from the top or bottom. The door is
longer than the bivvy so it can act as dra skirt and be tucked under the ground sheet.

AQUATEXX® Care and maintenance
All Aqua products will provide you with years of service providing they are
well looked aer. We recommend that your bivvy is always packed away dry
or is dried as soon as possible aer a session. This prevents mildew from
forming and in turn prevents damage to the materials used.
• We recommend using Grangers cleaning agents to clean your bivvy.
• Wash your bivvy while erect using warm water.
• Always dry thoroughly in the shade.
• Do not use detergents to clean your bivvy.
• Do not use any abrasives or scrubbing agents/cloths.
• Avoid contact with fuel, oil (in baits/cooking) and chemicals as the stains from
these may be impossible to remove and will probably attack the fabric and damage the proong.
WARNING: The fabric used on this bivvy is flammable. Using naked flames inside a bivvy or
close to the fabric is a re hazard and should be avoided. C0 Carbon Monoxide emmisions are
dangerous and highly toxic. Avoid the use of cooking stoves and fuel burning heaters inside the
bivvy without adequate ventilation.
• Avoid pitching under trees as sap may fall onto the outer and is almost impossible to remove.
• Over time the coating on the outside of the fabric will wear and the material will no longer form
droplets on the fabric and run o easily. We recommend that you re–proof the material annually.
The only product we recommend is Fabsil Gold by Grangers. Follow the Fabsil Gold instructions
when you re-proof the bivvy.
Condensation
All single skin bivvies are subject to condensation which is unavoidable at certain times of the
year. This can however be greatly reduced by using wraps which are available separately. The
use of a groundsheet and avoiding cooking within the connes of your bivvy will also reduce the
eects of condensation.
Warranty
All Aqua products are designed and manufactured to exacting standards and are guaranteed for the
end purpose intended. Should the product fail during normal usage as a result of a component, mate-
rial or manufacturing fault, excluding fair wear and tear, then the product will be repaired or replaced
(with the same or a similar model from the current range) at our expense and discretion. All poles and
fabric colour fading due to over exposure to the sun are excluded from fair wear and tear.
This guarantee is only valid when your bivvy is used for recreational purposes, not including com-
mercial usage, eg. hiring, use by outdoor centres etc. Repairs to damage caused by accident, use in
inappropriate conditions, and normal wear and tear will be carried out where possible at a reasonable
charge. Please ensure that all products are clean and dry prior to being returned. No consequential loss
may be claimed under this guarantee. This guarantee in no way aects your statutory rights.
Repairs
We oer a comprehensive repair service whereby most repairs can be carried out on site by our team
of trained machinists. In the rst instance please ensure that the bivvy comes back to us in a clean, dry
condition. We do not have the facilities to dry bivvies here at Aqua and for health and safety reasons
we will not work on a soiled bivvy.
Clearly mark on the bivvy where the fault is using chalk/low tack tape. Please supply a detailed list
of the faults, contents, contact numbers and return address details. There are forms available on our
website that can be downloaded, printed and lled out to aid this process - to view the forms please
visit www.aquaproducts.co.uk For warranty claims please ensure you send proof of purchase (direct
Aqua customers only). If purchased through one of our premier retailers your bivvy must be returned
to them.
Please ensure the bivvy is packaged so as not to cause further damage and ensure the package is
insured for the full value of the contents. We cannot be held responsible for damage caused in transit
or for lost parcels.
All repairs, unless under warranty, will be quoted for
before any work takes place and we aim to turn
around repairs within 10 working days, subject to
parts/peak times etc.
No bivvy is guaranteed against storm damage.
