The line level remote control is a versatile means of controlling a block amplifier fed by a line level source. The
level may be controlled from a remote location via an infrared repeating system or at the front of the unit via a
manual volume control setting. The front mounted manual volume setting may also be used as a limiter to prevent
the amplifier from being overdriven by sources with very high output when controlled remotely.

Remote Controlled Line Level Volume Control

1. Connect the line level source to the LINE IN jacks on the RCLL-1.
2. Connect the LINE OUT jacks to the destination equipment.
3. Connect the IR sensor eye (default) for local operation or the emitter output of an infrared repeating
system to the INFRARED IN. Signal connects to red, ground to black. A cable may be needed with
the appropriate plug (usually a 1/8” mono mini phone plug) to fit an IR connecting block, such as
the Audioplex IRStation.
4. Connect the 12 volt DC power supply to the 12 VDC jack and plug it
into a live 120 volt AC outlet.
5. Program your universal remote to transmit Proscan* audio codes.
OPERATION
1. Turn the VOLUME knob on the front of the RCLL-1 fully clockwise.
2. Be sure that the line level destination is on and turned to a normal level.
3. Start the line level source.
4 Point the remote at the repeating system target and press and hold the Volume Up button.
After about 10-15 seconds, the signal should begin to be received by the destination equipment.
As you continue to hold down the Volume Up button, the signal will gradually increase to maximum.
5.The signal can be smoothly decreased by pressing and holding the Volume Down button.
6. The signal can be muted by pressing the Mute button. Pressing Mute again will restore the signal
to its previous level.
7. Short presses of Volume Up and Down will cause the signal level to increase and decrease in
larger steps.
8. The Volume knob on the RCLL-1 can also be used to adjust signal level. Note that if this control
is turned down, the maximum remote level is reduced. This can be used to limit maximum volume.
