(1) We would advise fitting a PTI (current transformer
automatic short-circuiter) to the current transformer
secondary to prevent any electrical risks when the
current transformer is disconnected (current transformer
and PTI not supplied).
(2) Only on versions with harmonic filtering.

Assembly and connection
The regulator can be embedded. The cut-out to be
made in the mount (max. thickness: 10 mm) is 138 x
138 mm. The screws supplied with the regulator must
be used to maintain the class II protection.
Current transformer connection: to ensure the load
to the current transformer's secondary is as low as
possible, the cables must have a minimum cross-
section of 2.5 mm². The measured current should not
exceed 5A.
Voltage measurement connection: it is possible to sepa-
rate the feed voltage from the measurement voltage
(for example for readings on the HVA/HVB network).
In all cases, it is important to protect this input with an
external fuse.
Alarm switch: a dry contact for alarm activation is avai-
lable on the a/b alarm terminals. The switch closes if
there is no voltage or an alarm is present on the regu-
lator. If an alarm is activated, an indicator LED will light
up on the front panel ("alarm" LED) and the correspon-
ding fault will flash on the regulator's display. The alarm
switch can withstand 3A at 250 VAC.
Control contacts: Terminals "PI" and "PII" allow connec-
tion to the control voltage of the switches. These
contacts are easily assimilated with dry contacts.
In order to avoid overloading control contacts, the sum
of the currents to hold the switch coils in the closed
position must not exceed a maximum value of 5 A. The
control voltages must not exceed 380 VAC.
Tariff change: The regulator can observe a second
operating mode by means of a second external dry
contact. (See Tariff 2, Table 1). The connection is made
on the terminals with cos phi 1/2.

COSYS R 12H Regulator
Quick commissioning step
1) Ensure the regulator is correctly connected.
2) Power up the regulator. The regulator will launch
the automatic recognition procedure. This procedure
will last between 2 and 15 minutes. At the end of this
procedure the value displayed will correspond to the cos
phi of the installation. At this stage regulation is effective
(cos phi setpoint 0.96).
3) Modification of the cos phi setpoint (if required) and
configuring to display the actual current.
Press the prog. button for 8 seconds, " -1- " will appear
and the "manual" LED will flash.
Press prog., the cos phi setpoint value will be
displayed. To change the value press "+" or "-".
Press the prog. button. The value "-2-" is displayed.
Press "+" until the parameter 18 is reached (the display
shows "18").
•Press prog. The winding ratio is displayed. To change
this value press "+" or "-".
Press prog. Press "=" until "end" is reached. Confirm
by pressing prog. If other modification of the regulator's
settings are required, refer to the detailed settings (page
10).

Table 1: Regulator parameters
The settings can be modified to allow several operating
modes.
The regulator is supplied in a standard factory
configuration.
To avoid any programming errors, the parameters cannot
be set in the first 5 minutes the regulator is powered on.
Once the modifications are made, other modifications
can be made after an hour. After this time has elapsed
the parameters can be viewed.
In order to modify the parameters again, the regulator
feed must be disconnected temporarily.
To program and/or see the parameters, proceed as
follows:
Press the "Prog." button for at least 8 seconds.
The display will show "-1-". This figure shows the
parameter number to be selected (see Table 1).
By pressing the "Prog." button again, the display will
show the current value.
By pressing buttons "+" or "-" a new value can be
entered.
By pressing the "Prog." button again the following
parameters can be accessed.
Pressing the "+" button after viewing the parameter
"-29-" or pressing the "-" button after viewing the
parameter "-1-" will result in "End" appearing on the
display.
Confirm exiting the parameter setting mode by
pressing the "Prog." button when "End" is displayed.
The regulator will launch its program with the values
entered.

Displays
The selection of displayed values is totally independent
from the regulator operation. A diode to the right of the
"cos j", "A", "Harm" display indicates which variable
is being displayed. The display is able to display the
following variables (by pressing the corresponding
buttons(s)):
- The power factor is the default value displayed
- Button "Q" displays reactive current
- Button "P" displays active current
- Pressing buttons "P" and "Q" together displays the
apparent current
- The "Harm" button will display the harmonics from
rows 5, 7, 11 and 13. Buttons "+" and "-" are used
to scroll through the value of the different harmonics.
(When the display shows 5. 2.9 this indicates that the
harmonic of row 5 has an amplitude of 2.9%)
- A 3 second press of the button "aut/manu" will allow
manual implementation of the stages. Buttons "+" and
"-" are used to scroll through the stages. After a delay of
about 12 seconds, the stage will change to the opposite
state to its original state. During switching, the number
of activations is briefly displayed (0.350 indicates 350
activations).
