5 Download Read Only
Parameter Files
PLUS+1 Parameter Files are used to store Read Only parameter values
that are used by an application.
If this box is unchecked then the user will not be able to download a
parameter file to any hardware.
If this box is checked then the user will be able download a parameter
file to hardware.
6 Access Level The Access Level is a number between 0 and 9. The highest level of
access is zero and the most restrictive is 9. The application developer
determines the access level for every signal and parameter in the
PLUS+1 GUIDE.
If a signal is given an access level of 5 and the user has an access level
of 6, 7, 8 or 9 then the user will not be able to see the signal. If the user
has an access level between 0 and 5 then the signal can be viewed.
Read Access—Checkbox If this box is unchecked then the user will not be able to read any
signals or parameters from any hardware.
If this box is checked then the user can read signals given the relevant
access level.
Read Access—Level Sets the read access level for this license.
Write Access—Checkbox If this box is unchecked then the user will not be able to write any
parameters from any hardware.
If this box is checked then the user can write signals given the relevant
access level.
Write Access—Level Sets the write access level for this license.
7 ECU History Access If this box is unchecked then the user will not be able to read the ECU
history.
8 Application Log Access If this box is unchecked then the user will not be able to read any
Application Log files from any hardware.
Error Level Sets the application log error access level for this license.
Statistics Level Sets the application log error access level for this license.
Other Level Sets the application log error access level for this license.
9 Toolkey Clicking the Toolkey button opens the dialog where a toolkey
together with a text description may be added. Up to three toolkeys
can be added to the license.
See the Application Security Strategy, page 5 through 6, for further
details on the use of the toolkey and access levels.
Toolkey Only If this box is checked then the user will only be able to access
hardware running PLUS+1 applications with toolkey.
10 Activate/Deactivate Toolbar
Button
This is used to make a license active or inactive.
When licenses are no longer needed it is not desirable to delete them
from there database, as the trace information will be lost.
11 Optional User Information This optional user information can be used by the License
Administrator to ease the management of licenses. The information is
not included in the license key:
Company This is the name of the company the user belongs to.
The data is taken from the user ID file but it can be amended when
the license is created.
First Name/Last Name This is the name of the user.
The data is taken from the user ID file but it can be amended when
the license is created.
Street / City / State / ZIP /
Country
This is the address of the user.
E-mail This is the e-mail address of the user.
