Important safety precautions
Warning
Please unplug the power cord from the AC outlet and contact our service personnel to repair under
the following conditions:
 Any obvious abnormality appears in the product, such as smoky, peculiar smell or strange
sound.
 When a liquid has been spilled or other objects have fallen into the product.
 No picture or sound.
 Cover or panel is broken.
 Although you have operated the product by following the operating instructions, it still cannot
work normally.
Warning
Be careful about the power cord or the plug to avoid the fire or the electric shock.
 Always disconnect the power cord and antenna during the storm.
 Protect the power cord from being pinched or squeezed particularly at plugs to avoid the
electric shock.
 Do not fix the power cord with the metal nail.
 Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet; also unplug the signal cables from the input ports
when the product is unused for long periods of time or during a lightning storm.
 When unplug the plug, always hold the wide slot, do not touch the metal part, and do not
destroy, refit, twist, pull or roast the power cord.
 Please contact the personnel service immediately if you found that the core is showed in the air
or is been broken.
 Please replace the AC outlet if the metal bolt cannot be inserted into the power socket
completely or it cannot be fastened even when it was pushed in, otherwise, any accidents of
shocks and fires would happen.
Instructions
All instructions must be read and understood well before you operating this product. Heed all
warnings and follow all instructions.
Attachments
Please use the attachment recommended by the manufacturer. Use the inadequate attachments may
result in accidents.
Adjustment
Please adjust the product through the panel buttons or the remote control, do not remove the cover
or attempt to service the product by yourself. Do not disassemble back cover and do not make
maintenance by yourself to avoid the electric shock.
Caution: Over-press the panel may destroy the product.
Placement
Do not place the product on an unstable cart, stand surface, tripod, bracket, or table. The product
may fall, causing serious accidents as well as the damage to the product.
Please place the product on a flat surface in a well-ventilated location. Keep it away from the
burning-light, direct sunlight, vibration, high-temperature and humidity. Store the product with a
temperature from –20

C; Otherwise you may destroy the product.
Caution: Do not place the LCD TV into closed space; it can reduce the product life time.
Keep a space at list 10cm at above, left, and right of the TV.
Remote control
Do not expose the remote control to shock, liquids, and do not place it in an area with high
humidity. Please use the qualified batteries and do not mix batteries with different types. Do not

mix old and new batteries, and do not place the batteries to burn or disassemble them. If the remote
control is unused for an extend period of time, remove batteries from the remote control.
Cords
 Place the signal cord back of the product.
Cleaning
 Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet before cleaning the product. Do not use liquid
cleaners or aerosol cleaners and others; use the special LCD Panel cleaners. Keep the power off
before LCD panel dry completely.
Caution: Do not use volatile cleaner or you may damage the LCD Panel/Covers.
Transportation
 Do not overexert or touch the panel when you convey the product. Do not transfer the LCD TV
up or down display direction.
Other objects
 To ensure not to get an electric shock or short circuit, please do not spill liquid or other objects
into the ventilation holes of the product.
Caution: Do not stand on the LCD TV, do not push LCD TV or its’ stand. Keep it away
from children.
Heating
 The temperature of the product’s body becomes a little higher after a long period use. This
phenomenon indicates about heat exchange in normal working mode, thus please do not let
children or anyone who is sensitive of temperature to touch.
Note: All the OSD and illustrations in this manual may be somewhat different from the actual
situation. Please take the LCD Color TV menu as the standard.

Installation
Antenna connection
1. Connect the plug of the antenna cable or CATV cable to the cable (not provided with this unit),
then connect to the antenna input of this unit for best reception.
2. If the antenna cable in your home is other than the above two, or you have problems in
installing the antenna, please contact your dealer.
Notes:
1. Current outdoor antenna or cable TV usually use 75 Ohm coaxial antenna cable. For better
reception suggest using this kind of antenna cable.
2. Flat cable or indoor antenna are old designed, the reception may not be good enough.
Battery installation and replacement for remote control unit.
The remote control uses two 1.5VAAA batteries.
Battery installation and replacement procedure is as follows:
1. Turn the remote control unit upside down. Open the battery
compartment cover.
2. Install two new batteries, make sure that battery polarity
matches with the “+”, “-“ marks inside the battery. Or not it
could damage the unit.
3. Close the battery compartment cover.

1. 12V DC power: plug the output of DC 12V adapter.
2. PC: Connect a PC via a VGA cable.
3. S-VIDEO input: Connect S-VIDEO, use same AUDIO input as AV input.
4. AV: connect AUDIO (R/L) and VIDEO input signal from signal source such as DVD.
5. PC audio in: audio input to be connected to PC.
6. Earphone: audio output, speakers will be muted when ear phone plugged
7. ANTENNA input (75 Ohm): Connect a coaxial cable to receive signal from the antenna or
cable.
Remote controller (RC)
1. MUTE button. Press to mute or restore the TV sound.
2. POWER button. Press to turn the TV on or off (standby).
3. Number buttons. Press to enter a channel number.
4. Q.VIEW button. Press to switch to last program you just
watch.
5. AV/TV button. Press to display the signal source selection
menu.
6. DISPLAY button. Press to display status such as zoom,
signal source, time and so on.
7. SLEEP button. Press to select a time period after which
the TV will turn itself off.
8. PROG+ button. Press to select memorized TV programs.
9. VOL- button. Press to adjust the volume.
10. MENU button. Press to display main menu or confirm
selection.
11. PROG- button. Press to select memorized TV programs.
12. VOL+ button. Press to adjust the volume.
13. P.P. button. Press to select a different picture effect.
14. S.M button. Press to select a different sound effect.
15. FAV. button. Press to select favorite program one by one.
16. ZOOM button. Press to select the aspect ratio.

General operations
Turning ON/OFF
1. Plug the end of the power cord into an appropriate wall outlet and connect the antenna cable or
CATV cable.
2. Turn on the TV. Switch on the POWER button on the front panel of TV to connect AC power.
When the power of the TV is connected, the power indicator lights up in red, the TV is in
standby mode, press the POWER button on the RC or front panel to switch the set to normal
operation mode.
3. Turn off the TV. Press the POWER button on the RC or front panel to switch the set to standby
mode. Switch off the power switch on the front panel of TV to cut AC power.
Note: Unplug the set from the AC outlet when it is not to be used for a long period of time.
4. Select the TV channel or adjust the TV sound.
Press PROG+/- buttons on the RC to select memorized TV programs (press VOL+/- buttons to
adjust the volume).
Press PROGRAM UP/DOWN buttons on the front panel to select memorized TV programs (press
VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons to adjust the volume).
Press the number buttons to enter a program number directly, after a while, the set will turn to the
program automatically.
Button functions
P.P.
1. Press the P.P button on the RC to display the current picture state.
2. Press the P.P button repeatedly to select different picture effect.
3. The on-screen display will disappear in 3 seconds if you stop adjusting.
Note: You can select Standard, Bright, Personal or Soft.
SLEEP
1. Press the SLEEP button on the RC to display the sleep time.
2. Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to select a time period after which the TV will turn itself
off.
3. The on-screen display will disappear in 3 seconds if you stop adjusting.
Note: You can select 0 (off), 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. In the last minute of
the sleep time, the words POWER OFFwill display at the top left corner of the screen. You can
press any button to cancel the setting at this time.
S.M
1. Press the S.M button on the RC to display the current sound state.
2. Press the S.M. button repeatedly to select different sound effect.
3. The on-screen display will disappear in 3 seconds if you stop adjusting.
Note: You can select News, Theater, Odeum, Personal.
AV/TV
1. Press the AV/TV button on the RC to display the signal source selection menu.
2. Press the PROGRAM UP/DOWN button to select your desired signal source.
3. Press the VOLUME UP button to confirm your selection.
4. The on-screen display will disappear in 15 seconds if you stop adjusting.
ZOOM (could be different base on different model)
1. Press the ZOOM button on the RC to display the current zoom mode.
2. Press the ZOOM button repeatedly to select your desired picture zoom effect.
3. The on-screen display will disappear in 3 seconds if you stop adjusting.
Note: You can select 16:9 or 4:3.

FAV
Press the FAV. button on the RC repeatedly, it will select FAV. channel in cycle.
Q.VIEW
Press Q.VIEW button on the RC will switch to last program or source you just watch.

OSD operations
Menu Operation
1. Press MENU button to display the main menu.
2. Press VOLUME UP/DOWN (VOL+/-) buttons to enter the needed menu.
3. Press PROGRAM DOWN (PROG-) button to highlight the desired menu/item.
4. Press VOLUME UP/DOWN (VOL+/-) buttons to adjust the setting.
5. Press MENU button to save setting and go back to last menu.
6. Press MENU button to exit the menu.
Note: The buttons on the front panel have the same functions as the corresponding RC buttons.
PICTURE MENU
Enter Picture menu. You can adjust following parameters:
brightness, contrast (to adjust the difference between the
light and dark areas of the picture), saturation (to adjust the
richness of the color), sharpness, hue, color tone, backlight
(to adjust the level of back light, depending on room
lighting), picture mode (to adjust the brightness, contrast,
saturation and sharpness of the picture simultaneously).
Notes: Saturation and sharpness are not available in PC mode. Hue is only available in NTSC
mode. For Color Tone: Cool is for a more blue palette of picture colors, Warm is for a more red
palette of picture colors, and Normal is between the two. Personal is only available in PC mode.
GEOMETRY MENU
Enter Geometry menu. The menu is only available in PC
and component input modes. You can adjust following
parameters: H-position (to adjust the horizontal position of
the picture), V-position (to adjust the vertical position of the
picture), H-size (to adjust the sampling frequency of A/D),
Phase (to adjust the sampling phase of A/D), AUTO (to
adjust the screen display to the best state automatically).
Notes: For H-size: the option is usually adjusted with H-position and V-position; this can make
picture get better quality. You also can use AUTO function to make picture better. For Phase: you
can adjust this value accordingly if there are close bright dots on the picture or linear shimmer
phenomenon happens.
SOUND MENU
Enter Sound menu. You can adjust following parameters:
volume, bass, treble, balance (to adjust how much loudness
is sent to the left and right speaker), surround (ON/OFF),
AV (auto volume level function ON/OFF).
Note: Surround and AV are not available in TV mode.

INSTALLATION MENU
Enter Installation menu. Following options are available for
setting:
Channel. To set the received TV channel number. You can
also change the channel by pressing number buttons.
Color System. To select color system.
Sound System. To select sound system. If there is no sound
or sound is week, you should change the sound system
accordingly.
Auto Scan. To search and save channels automatically. If you press the MENU button to stop Auto
scan process, the last saved channel will be shown. The TV is mute when starting Auto scan. You
need set the correct sound system according your local signal to get good performance before or
after auto scan.
Manual. To search channels manually. The searching process will stop when a channel has been
found, and the channel will be saved. Press MENU to stop the searching process. You can start
searching from any frequency by changing channel number or band.
Fine Tuning. To tune RF frequency finely.
Band. To set the proper band when starting manual search.
Channel edit. Select the item to access channel edit function
providing following sub-items.
Skip. Sets the current channel to skip or not. If the channel
is set to skip, you cannot select it by pressing PROG+/-
buttons on the RC. You can select it exactly by entering
channel number using number buttons. If a channel is set to
skip, the channel number color shows on the screen as red.
Swap channel. Change Current channel and Swap channel
to numbers of the channels you want to swap.
Favorite channel. Select favorite channel you want from FAV.CH1 to FAV.CH8.
FUNCTION MENU
Enter function menu. You can adjust following parameters:
language (to select OSD language), PQ effect (to set picture
quality improvement function ON/OFF), black extend (to
set black level extend function ON/OFF), blue screen
(ON/OFF).
TIMER MENU
Enter timer menu. You can adjust following parameters:
time (to set the current time), turn off (to set a time for the
TV to turn itself off), turn on (to set a time for the TV to
turn itself on), turn on source (to set a signal source for the
TV to turn itself on), turn on channel (to set a channel for
the TV to turn itself on), calendar (displays the current date,
month and year).
Note: Turn on channel function is only available in TV mode.

Troubleshooting
Before calling a technician, please check the following items to see whether you can easily diagnose
and fix the encountered symptoms on your own.
Symptoms Possible Cause Correction
No picture, no sound,
and no indicator light
The power cord is not plugged in.
Contrast, sharpness, color and volume
are all in the minimum value or TV is
in mute mode.

Alter the value of contrast,

Set the value of Contrast,

No Video signal or the signal cord is

Press the CH+/CH- buttons at
one time to adjust it.
Adjust H/V- position manually

No sound

Connect the audio signal cord

Set the sound system properly.
The RC does not work
Batteries are improperly installed or
exhausted.
Make sure the positive and the
negative polarities are correct.
Reattach the battery lid.
Replace the batteries.

The causes of interference
Incorporated in your TV receiver are the most up-to-date devices to eliminate interference. Local
radiation however, can create disturbances, which visibly affect your picture. Proper installations, a
good aerial are your best safeguards against these disturbances.
 RF INTERFERENCE
Moving ripples across the screen are caused by nearby transmitting or receiving short-wave
radio equipment.
 DIATHERMY
Herringbone pattern and partial picture loss can result from the operation of diathermy
equipment from a nearby doctor's surgery or hospital.
 SNOW
Weak TV signals from long distant stations result in an instead picture and give the effect of
falling snow. An antenna adjustment or antenna amplifier may be needed.
 GHOST
Multiple image caused by TV signals reflected back from surrounding buildings, hills, aircraft,
etc. is minimized by correct aerial positioning.
 CAR IGNITION
Nearby cars and electrical motors can cause small streaks across the picture or make the picture
roll.
