A protecting tube is installed for the electrical cable of the control
exhaust valve KSOM when the ventilation ducts are mounted. The
protecting tube is brought by the side of the duct to the same lev-
el with ceiling or wall surface (Fig. 1).
If no protecting tube is used, a cable satisfying the requirements
is installed, with which the cable attached to the valve can be ex-
tended. In this case, a space must be reserved for the additional
cable.
The KSOM valve is delivered with a fixedly installed 1 m cable. This
requires placing the connecting box close enough to the valve.
The control exhaust valve is installed in the duct as shown in Fig.
When replacing an old valve with the control exhaust valve KSOM, remove the old mounting frame. The installation is then carried out as described
above. The electrical cable can also be mounted as a surface mounting by passing it over a groove in the extension ring (2, Fig. 2) over the wall or
ceiling surface to the connection box, e.g. covered with a cable channel.
When installing KSOM, be particularly careful with the humidity sensor inside the valve. The sensor is a delicate component and may me damaged if
handled carelessly.
The control exhaust valve is not designed to be used in the sauna room.

1) Push the mounting frame (3) through the extension ring (2).
2) Pass the electrical cable of the valve through the inlet rubber gasket in the mounting frame. The extension ring must be placed between the elec-
trical cable and the mounting frame flange.
3) Pass the electrical cable through the protecting tube to the connection box and push the package mounting frame / extension ring (2) & (3) to the
duct (1) and fasten. When fastening the frame to the duct with rivets, the rivet must be placed behind the thread of the frame so that it does not
hinder the rotating of the valve in place.
4) Pass the additional cable into the duct and rotate the valve into the mounting frame. When rotating the valve, MAKE SURE THE CABLE IS NOT
SQUEEZED BETWEEN THE VALVE AND THE MOUNTING FRAME. This might cause damage to the cable. The valve is rotated into the frame by first
placing the valve hanger end between the cable penetration and the end of the frame thread (*, Fig. 2.)
