Screw driver
Proceed as follows to mount the kitchen radio under a wall cabinet:
Hold the mounting template [G] in a suitable place under your wall cabinet.
Position a nail to each of the marks of the mounting template [G] and make a small indentation in your
wall cabinet.
Take the mounting template [G] from the wall cabinet.
Use a 0.08 inch / 2 mm wood drill to drill small holes at the previously created indentations.
Slide the mounting plate [17] to the back off from the kitchen radio and remove it.
Now choose whether to install the kitchen radio with or without spacers [C].

Slide the kitchen radio with its top side onto the mounting plate [17] until it clicks into place. Check the
secure fit of the device.

Remove the screws from the mounting plate [17]. Remove the mounting plate [17] and, if necessary,
the spacers [C] from the wall cabinet.
7.4 Inserting backup batteries
A battery compartment [23] for backup batteries can be found at the bottom of the kitchen radio. You
have the option of inserting batteries here (not included), so that previously stored stations, alarm times,
and the time are not lost in the event of a power failure.
Proceed as follows to insert backup batteries:
Open the battery compartment [23] on the bottom side of the kitchen radio by sliding and removing
the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow.
Insert the batteries (2 AA batteries, not included) with the correct polarity (pay attention to + and -).
The polarity is sketched on the batteries and in the battery compartment [23].
Now replace the battery compartment cover on the battery compartment [23] and slide it against the
direction of the arrow until it clicks into place.
Remove the batteries when you do not use the device for an extended period. The
batteries could leak and cause damage to the device.
