Magnus Dual-System Reinstallation Steps
Things you will need for this process:
1 Keyboard
1 Mouse (optional)
1 Hub
1 Flashdrive (3.0 & 16GB or more)
1 Additional Flashdrive (3.0 & 16GB or more)(optional)
Preparation
1.) First, make sure your Magnus is Dual-System Capable. You can test this, by powering on your
device while holding down the V+ Button.
2.) When you see the screen below, your device is Dual-System Capable (NOTE: Android logo may
not appear on the screen.). Make sure the white box on the top-left corner has a check mark on
it. If the box is grey, tap on it and the check mark will appear. You can now turn off your device.
A .RAR extraction program like 7-ZIP
3.) On a computer, format the Flash Drive as FAT32 and name the drive WINPE
4.) Extract the .RAR file. It should give you the 2 folders below:
5.) Open the folder MAGNUS DS - ANDROID and copy the files to the flash drive. Once the files have
been copied, it should look like this:
Installation (Android)
1.) Connect Hub, Keyboard, and the prepared Flashdrive to your device.
2.) Once everything is connected, power on the device while tapping on the ESC key. This will take you
to the BIOS menu. Use the keyboard to move the cursor to SAVE & EXIT
3.) Use the Keyboard to select LAUNCH EFI SHELL FROM FILESYSTEM DEVICE and press Enter. Installation
will begin.
4.) Android-OS will be fully installed.
Installation - Windows
1.) On your PC, format the Flash Drive as NTFS and name the drive WINPE
2.) Open the folder MAGNUS DS - WINDOWS and copy the files to the flash drive. Once the files
have been copied, it should look like this:
3.) Connect the prepared Flashdrive to your device.
4.) Once everything is connected, power on the device while tapping on the F7 key.
5.) A Blue Screen will Pop Up that states “Please Select Boot Device”, select your usb flash device
(in this case, “UEFI KingstonDataTraveler 3.0PMAP”) and press “enter”
6.) Once Data is loading wait, procedure might take more than 15 minutes.
7.) Wait until screen shows: “x:/windows/system32>____”
8.) Type in “exit” in the blank space “x:/windows/system32>exit” then click “enter”
9.) Take USB out of tablet.
10.) “System Preparation Tool” will pop up, Click “ok”
11.) Windows device is ready for use.
