Dangers arising from the

use of batteries

DANGER TO LIFE! Batteries

are not intended to be in the hands of chil-

dren. Do not leave batteries lying around.

They could be swallowed by children or

pets. In the event of swallowing a battery,

contact a doctor immediately.

CAUTION! DANGER OF

EXPLOSION!

Never recharge

single-use batteries. Do not short-

circuit or open them. Overheating, ﬁre or

destruction of the batteries might result.

Never throw batteries into ﬁre or water. The

batteries might explode.

Avoid extreme environmental conditions and

temperatures as they may aﬀect batteries e.g.

above radiators. Otherwise the batteries are

more likely to leak.

Exhausted or damaged batteries

can cause caustic burns upon

contact with the skin. To avoid

this,

always wear suitable protective gloves in

these circumstances!

Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous

membranes if ﬂuid is leaking from the batte

ries.

If you come into contact with corrosive bat-

tery ﬂuids, ﬂush the aﬀected area thoroughly

with clean water and contact a doctor

immediately.

Remove the battery from the device if it has

not been used for a long period.

Make sure you insert the battery the right

way round (polarity)! The correct polarity is

shown inside the battery compartment.

Remove the exhausted battery from the de-

vice immediately. Otherwise the battery is

more likely to leak!

Batteries must not be disposed of in the

normal domestic waste!

Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose

of batteries in the proper manner!

Keep batteries away from children. Do not

throw batteries into a ﬁre. Never short-circuit

them or take them apart.

If you disregard these instructions and advice,

the battery may discharge beyond its mini-

mum voltage. Thus increasing the chance of

leakage. If the battery in your device leaks,

remove it from the device immediately to

prevent the device from being damaged!

Do not short-circuit the battery contacts.

Avoid the danger of

death from electric shock!

Before use, ensure that the available mains

voltage agrees with the operating voltage

speciﬁed for the product (230 volt ∼).

Do not use the product if you discover it is

damaged in any way.

The product contains delicate electronic

components. The device could be damaged

if it is placed in the immediate vicinity of

equipment that emits radio wave energy.

This may include mobile phones, wireless

phones, CB radios, radio signal remote con-

trols or other types of remote control units

and microwave ovens. If you experience

faults, remove such equipment from the

vicinity of the device.

Never open any of the electrical equipment

or insert any objects into it. Such interven

tions

represent the danger of death from electric

shock.

Never let the product come into contact with

water or other liquids.

You cannot control any other devices with

the remote control handset

Connect the lamp to an AC supply

only. Note that the lamp is not dim-

mable.

Use

Before ﬁrst use screw the supplied lamp

into an E27 ﬁtting. When doing this, ensure

that the lamp is securely seated.

of the remote control handset

before the ﬁrst use.

Press the I button

to switch on the colour-

changing lamp.

Select the desired mode using the buttons

–

(see Fig. A):

– Set the brightness by using one of the ﬁve

diﬀerent brightness buttons

Note: The brightness buttons cannot be

used in the automatic colour change mode

– Press the M button

to change the colour

of the light manually. With each new press

of the M button, the colour changes

into

diﬀerent col

ours.

– If you store a desired colour during the

automatic

colour changing sequence or

M mode by pressing the S button

. The

stored colour will be displayed when the

device is switched on again.

– P

ress the A button to switch on the

automatic colour-changing function

– Press the button

to change to white

light.

– Press one of the colour buttons

change

into the desired colour directly.

Note: The remote control handset has a

range of 4 metres. Hold the remote control

handset with the IR diode

above and

pointing directly at the lamp.

Replacing a bulb

Press the 0 button

to switch oﬀ the

colour-changing lamp.

Allow the lamp

to cool for at least

10 minutes.

Screw the old lamp out of the ﬁtting

(see “Use”).

Screw a bulb of the same type into the ﬁtting.

When doing this, ensure that the lamp is se-

curely seated.

Maintenance and cleaning

CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

For electrical safety reasons, never clean the

lamp

with water or other ﬂuids nor im-

merse it in water.

Do not use solvents such as petrol and the

like as they could damage the lamp.

Allow the lamp to cool for at least 10 minutes.

Use a dry, ﬂuﬀ-free cloth for cleaning.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of

recyclable materials, which you may

dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for

more details of how to dispose of your worn-out

product.

Under no circumstances

should the

device / article and its bulbs be dis

posed

of with normal household rubbish.

The device / article and its bulbs should be dis-

posed of at an oﬃcially approved disposal cen

or at your local communal disposal facility.

Observe the applicable regulations. If you are

uncertain of what to do please contact your

local authority’s refuse disposal department.

Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in ac-

cordance with Directive 2006 / 66 / EC. Please

return the batteries and / or the device to the

available collection points.

Environmental damage

through incorrect disposal

of the batteries!

Batteries may not be disposed of with the usual

domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy

metals and are subject to hazardous waste treat-

ment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols

for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium,

Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should

dispose of used batteries at a local collection point.

Farer i omgangen

med batterier

LIVSFARE! Batterier hører

ikke til i børnehænder. Lad ikke batterier ligge

og ﬂyde. Der er fare for, at børn eller husdyr

sluger dem. Søg i tilfælde af slugning læge-

hjælp med det samme.

PAS PÅ! RISIKO FOR EKS-

PLOSIN! Batterier må aldrig

genoplades, kortsluttes eller åbnes.

Det kan resultere i overophedning, brandfare

eller brist. Batterier må aldrig kastes i ild eller

vand. Batterierne kan eksplodere.

Undgå ekstreme betingelser og temperaturer,

som kan påvirke batterierne, f. eks. på radi-

atorer. Ellers er der øget risiko for udløb.

Udløbne eller beskadigede batte-

rier kan forårsage ætsninger ved

kontakt med huden. Bær derfor i

dette tilfælde ubetinget egnede beskyttel-

seshandsker!

Undgå kontakt med hud, øjne og slimhinder,

hvis væske er trådt ud af batterierne. Ved

kontakt med batterisyre skal de pågældende

steder skylles med rigeligt klart vand og læ-

gehjælp søges med det samme.

Fjern batteriet fra apparatet, hvis det ikke

blev brugt i længere tid.

Vær opmærksom på den rigtige polaritet ved

indsættelsen! Denne vises i batteribeholderen.

Fjern omgående det brugte batteri fra ap-

paratet. Der er øget fare for udløb!

Batterier hører ikke til i husholdningsaﬀald!

Hver forbruger er forpligtet ved lov til at

bortskaﬀe batterier korrekt!

Batterier skal holdes væk fra børn, må ikke

kastes i ild, batterier må ikke kortsluttes eller

skilles ad.

Ved tilsidesættelse af henvisningerne kan

batteriet aﬂades udover dets slutspænding. Så

er der fare for udløb. Hvis batteriet er løbet

ud i dit apparat, tag det ud omgående for

at forebygge skader på apparatet!

Spænd inden første brug den medleverede

lampe

ind i en E27-fatning. Sørg derved

for, at lampen sidder fast og sikkert.

Drej den gamle lampe ud af fatningen (se

Spænd en lyskilde af samme type i lampens

fatning. Sørg derved for, at lampen sidder

fast og sikkert.

Vedligeholdelse og rensning

PAS PÅ! RISIKO FOR ELEKTRISK STØD!

På grund af elektrisk sikkerhed må lampen

aldrig renses med vand eller andre væsker

eller endda dybbes i vand.

Brug ingen løsningsmidler, benzin e.l. lampen

ville tage skade herved.

Lad lampen køle af i mindst 10 minutter.

Brug en tør, fnugfri klud til rensningen.

Bortskaﬀelse

Emballagen består af miljøvenlige

materialer der kan bortskaﬀes

over

genbrugsstationen.

Muligheder for bortskaﬀelse af det udtjente pro-

dukt kan De erfare hos de lokale myndigheder.

Apparatet / artiklen og lyskilder må

under ingen omstændigheder bort-

skaﬀes via det almindelige hushold-

ningsaﬀald.
