Theory of Operation
THEORY OF OPERATION The EDC control algorithm follows a customer-adjustable curve (see fi gure 1). The output
of the Automotive Controller MCE102B is a function of the engine RPM.
In reference to one adjustable setpoint an anti stall function is also available.
The anti stall function is active when switch S2 is closed.
Generally, switch S2 must only be closed if the engine is driven in fi xed-RPM mode.
The actuation of S2 must be done, when the engine RPM is higher than the setpoint RPM
of the anti stall function.
The adjustable control parameters are shown in fi gure 2.
The control characteristic of the anti stall function is shown in fi gure 3.
