Sealey CP20VRP is a 20V cordless rotary polisher with variable speed control from 500 to 3000 RPM, allowing for precise polishing of various surfaces. It features a slide-button on/off switch for easy operation and a spindle lock for quick and effortless pad changes. The polisher comes with a Ø150mm backing pad and side handle, providing stability and control during use. It is compatible with 20V batteries and requires a mains charger, both sold separately.

1.2. WORK AREA SAFETY

9 Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.

create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.

9 Keepchildrenandbystandersawaywhileoperatingapowertool.Distractionscancause you to lose control.

1.3. PERSONAL SAFETY

9 Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. DO NOT use a power tool while you are

 tiredorundertheinuenceofdrugs,alcoholormedication.Amomentofinattentionwhileoperatingpowertoolsmayresultinserious

 personalinjury.

9 Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwaysweareyeprotection.Protectiveequipmentsuchasdustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,

 hardhat,orhearingprotectionusedforappropriateconditionswillreducepersonalinjuries.

9 Preventunintentionalstarting.Ensuretheswitchisintheo-positionbeforeconnectingtopowersourceand/orbatterypack,picking

up or carrying the tool.

9 Carryingpowertoolswithyourngerontheswitchorenergisingpowertoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.

9 Removeanyadjustingkeyorwrenchbeforeturningthepowertoolon.

8 DO NOToverreach.Keepproperfootingandbalanceatalltimes.Thisenablesbettercontrol of the power tool in unexpected

situations.

9 Dress properly. DO NOT wearlooseclothingorjewellery.Keepyourhair,clothingand gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,

 jewelleryorlonghaircanbecaughtinmovingparts.

9 If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.

1.4. POWER TOOL USE AND CARE

at the rate for which it was designed.

 dangerousandmustberepaired.

 WARNING!Disconnecttheplugfromthebatterypackfromthepowertoolbeforemakinganyadjustments,changingaccessories,or

storing power tools.

9 Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to

9 Haveyourpowertoolservicedbyaqualiedrepairpersonusingonlyidenticalreplacementparts.Thiswillensurethatthesafetyof

the power tool is maintained.Unauthorisedpartsmaybedangerousandwillinvalidatethewarranty.

4. OPERATION

4.1. Ensure that you have read, understood and comply with all the safety instructions in

 Section1.

4.2. POLISHING (FIG.1)

4.2.1. Holdingthepolisherrmlyoperatetheon/oswitch.

4.2.2. Tosettherotationalspeedofthepolisherusethe +/- buttons.Toincreasespeed,

press ‘ + ‘, to decrease press ‘ - ‘.

4.2.3. Thereare7speedsettingsavailableandthecurrentonebeingusedisshowninthespeedsettingdisplaywindow.Thevalues 

 displayedare5,8,10,15,20,25,and30.EachstepindicatesanRPMofapproximately100timesthevalueshown.

4.2.4. When polishing, DO NOTapplytoomuchpressure,theweightofthepolishershouldbesucient.AlsoDO NOT work for too long

 inoneareaoryoumaydamagethesurfacebeingworkedon.

4.3. BACKING PAD EXCHANGE (FIG.2)

 WARNING: Removebatterybeforetting/removingpadsormaintenanceiscarriedout.

4.3.1. Toremovethebackingpad,pressdownchucklockingbuttonandmanuallyunscrewthepadclockwise(whenviewedfromabove).

5. MAINTENANCE

 WARNING: Alwaysdisconnectthebatterybeforecarryingoutanyinspection,maintenanceorcleaning.

5.1. GENERAL INSPECTION

5.1.1. Regularlycheckthatallthexingscrewsaretight.

5.1.2. Repairsshouldbecarriedoutbyanauthorisedservicecentre.

5.2. CLEANING

 WARNING:Alwayswearprotectiveequipmentincludingeyeprotectionandgloveswhencleaningthistool.

5.2.1. Keepyourtoolcleanatalltimes.Dirtanddustwillcauseinternalpartstowearquicklyandshortenthedevice’sservicelife.

5.2.2. Cleanthebodyofyourmachinewithasoftbrush,ordrycloth.

5.2.3. Neverusecausticagentstocleanplasticparts.Ifdrycleaningisnotsucient,amilddetergentonadampclothisrecommended.

5.2.4. Watermustnevercomeintocontactwiththetool.Ensurethetoolisthoroughlydrybeforeusingit.

5.2.5. Ifavailable,useclean,drycompressedairtoblowthroughtheventilationholes(whereapplicable).

5.3. LUBRICATION

5.3.1. Lightlylubricateallmovingpartsatregularintervalswithasuitablelubricant.

5.4. STORAGE

5.4.1. Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children.
