1.2. WORK AREA SAFETY

1.3. PERSONAL SAFETY

9 Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. DO NOT use a power tool while you are

 tiredorundertheinuenceofdrugs,alcoholormedication.Amomentofinattentionwhileoperatingpowertoolsmayresultinserious

 personalinjury.

up or carrying the tool.

9 Carryingpowertoolswithyourngerontheswitchorenergisingpowertoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.

9 Removeanyadjustingkeyorwrenchbeforeturningthepowertoolon.

8 DO NOToverreach.Keepproperfootingandbalanceatalltimes.Thisenablesbettercontrol of the power tool in unexpected

situations.

9 Dress properly. DO NOT wearlooseclothingorjewellery.Keepyourhair,clothingand gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,

9 If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.

1.4. POWER TOOL USE AND CARE

9 Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to

9 Before each use check all attachments for condition. If worn or damaged replace immediately.

4. OPERATION

4.1.  EnsurethepowercontrolswitchisNOTswitchedtotheonpositionbeforettingthebattery.

4.2.  Holdthepolisherrmlywithonehandonthegripandkeeptheotherhandontheendhandle.

4.3.  Toselecttherequiredspeedpressthepositivespeedselectorswitchtotheappropriatespeed.

4.5. BACKING PAD EXCHANGE (FIG.2)

4.5.1. Firstdetachtheremovablehandlebyremovingthetwoplasticscrewsoneithersideofthehandle.

4.5.2. Toremovethebackingpad,pressdownchucklockingbuttonundertheremovablehandleandmanuallyunscrewthepadclockwise

 (whenviewedfromabove).

5. MAINTENANCE

 WARNING!Beforeattemptinganymaintenanceensurethebatteryisremovedfromtheunit.

5.1. Keep the machine clean and dry. DO NOTuseabrasivestocleantheunit.Ensureallexternalheadscrewsaretight.

5.2.  Cleanregularlybyblowingajetofcompressedairthroughsideventstoensuremotorventilationiskeptclear.
