Reminder:
Be extremely careful when putting back on
the LCD housing; make sure the screws are
NOT tightened all the way down. Discontinue action
immediately as soon as force is felt on the housing.
Further tightening of the screws will cause touch
screen to crack resulting in inaccurate cursor.

Apply rubber adhesive on the bottom side of the controller board as
insulation.
Eee PC 900 Installation Guide
Step 1.
Remove all 6 screws for LCD housing.
Step 2.
Remove all 6 screws for bottom
housing.
Step 3.
Remove keyboard by pushing in the 3
springs.
Step 4.
Remove both FPC for keyboard and
touchpad in the direction indicated.
Step 5.
Remove all 9 screws for keyboard
housing.
Step 6.
1. Use thin double-sided tape to secure the
touch screen panel on the metal frame
of the LCD module.
2. Remove both screws to detach LCD
module from the housing.
Step 7.
Detach the old connector to the
camera module and replace it Camera
Harness provided by the TouchKit.
Step 8.
Remove both screws on each side of
the LCD module to detach the LCD
brackets. This is to lower the LCD
module to accommodate the thickness
of the touch screen panel.
Remember to replace the LCD brackets
back to its’ original position in step 6.
Step 9. Touch Screen Alignment
Horizontal alignment (direction 1) use
the screw hole as reference point.
Vertical alignment (direction 2)
approximately 1.5mm~2.0mm from the
bottom edge of the metal frame.
Step 10.
Place Shock Absorber Rubber on the
metal frame surrounding the touch
screen panel.
Step 11.
Remove camera connector.
Step 12.
1. Connector placement for touch screen

2. Camera port on the motherboard to USB
input on the controller (Hub Harness)
3. USB output to camera module (Camera
Harness)
4. USB output (optional expansion)
5. USB output (optional expansion)
