Alternative Home Theater System Configurations
Placement
Front speakers - Front speakers should be mounted on wall, close to both sides of TV screen.
Center speaker - Center speaker should be mounted immediately with closest distance
possible to the TV screen. This position ensures perfect integration between picture and
sound, thus the optimum and realistic experience.
Note: For best integrated sound effect, tweeter position of front and center speaker should
be at the same level, i.g. all three tweeters are at the same distance above floor.
Rear speakers - The “surround” speaker position is an important element in achieving a
realistic home theater experience. Mount rear speaker on side walls in line with the listening
position, or on the back wall, no more than 6.5 feet (2M) above floor. Please ensure the
speakers are not too far from listening position or the effect will diminish. Before mounting
brackets on walls, you may try to move the rear speakers on different locations to get the
best “feel” of surround effect.
Subwoofer - The subwoofer can be placed virtually anywhere in your room without
affecting the stereo image of your main speakers. Placing the unit in a corner of the room
will yield the greatest bass output but may not provide the best sound, as this position will
cause maximum room mode resonance. You can start with this position and then move the
subwoofer to different areas until you find the sound satisfactory. The best method is to try
different positions. Keep a clearance of 100mm/4” from the wall or furniture to provide best
performance.
Wall Mounting Instructions
