MMX354G 3G USB MANAGER
INTRODUCTION
LAUNCH MMX354G 3G USB MANAGER
1. To launch the MMX354G 3G Manager, double-click the shortcut icon on the
desktop.
2. If the PIN code enabled, enter the correct one, then click OK. The (U)SIM will
be locked after three retries of incorrect PIN code input;
3. Enter the correct PUK to retrieve the default PIN code. After ten retries of
incorrect PUK code inputting, please contact your service provider;
With the wrong PIN and PUK, all the network services are unavailable.

INTERNET SERVICE
CONNECTING WITH THE DEFAULT CONNECTION PROFILE
Click to set up the connection;
CONNECT TO THE INTERNET WITH THE USER- DEFINED PROFILE
Click , to select Profile Management;
Click New, fill in all the parameters, then click ok.
Click Import, Select one item from the list and click OK.
Note: Contact with your service provider to get the correct parameters.
1. Statistics information
The following window will be displayed at lower right corner of main interface
when connecting to the internet.
2. Disconnect from the internet
Click to disconnect the internet connection.

View various connection statistics.
SMS SERVICE
Click to enter SMS (Short Message Service) service interface.
1. Creating and sending a message.
Click :
Enter the message content;
Click Save. The message will be saved in the Draft when failed to send.
Click Send: The message will be sent to the recipient. If message sending
fails, the message will be saved in the Outbox.
Note:
You can send a message to a group of at most 100 recipients;
Each number should be separated by “,”;
2. Inbox
The following prompt box will be displayed when received a new
message;

Reply : Access the edit interface, write the content, click Send or
Save ;
Forward: Forward the selected message;
Delete : Delete the selected message.
Note:
The new message will be saved in PC when MMX354G is running only,
else in (U)SIM instead;
You can use Shift” orCtrlto selected several messages;
3. Outbox
The message in the Outbox can be deleted or forwarded.
4. Draft
The Message sent unsuccessfully will be saved in the Draft folder.
5. Recycle
All deleted information will be saved in the Recycle folder.
6. The selected SMS can be operated as follows:
Save number

To save the sender’s information to the (U)SIM card or PC.
Delete text message
To delete the selected message.
Move to
To move the selected message to Outbox or Draft.
Copy to
To copy the selected message to Outbox or Draft.
SMS Export
Right-click the selected the message;
Click SMS Export ;
Specify the path and the file name, and click Save.
Note: The exported message will be saved as a *.csv file.
CONTACTS
Click to enter Contacts interface. Right click on a contact to access the
following options
1. Contacts Import
2. Contacts Export
3. SMS Export

Click ;
Enter the Name and Mobile, and save it in the (U)SIM card or PC
according to groups.
SEARCH A C ONTACT
Click ; to search for contacts.
VIEW A CONTACT
Click Local or (U)SIM to display the contacts interface accordingly;
Right click on a contact to manage that contact.
Note: The deleted contact information cannot be retrieved.
IMPORT
Right-click the mouse> Click Contacts Import;
Select the *.vcf or *.csv file and click Open;
The import file will be saved in the current interface.
EXPORT
Right-click the selected contact;
Click Contacts Export;

You can saved the contact file as *.csv file or *.vcf file;
CALL
Click to enter voice call interface.
DIAL OPERATION
Enter voice call interface, you can enter the call number by dial number pad,
then click to dial, when connected you can click volume button to
adjust the volume; when you click , you can hangup the current call.
INCOMING CALL OPERATION
The following prompt box will be displayed when incoming call.
Click “Answer” button to answer the call; Click Hangupbutton to reject the call.
SETTINGS
Click to perform various settings. You have the following options:

GENERAL
You may choose various setting.
PIN MANAGEMENT
1. You have the following options for managing PIN.
Enable PIN
Disable PIN
Modify PIN
Verify PIN
Unlock PIN
TEXT MESSAGE SETTING
You may activate the message alert tone. You can also can set up your
favorite tone via selecting a *.wav file in the PC.
The number shown in the SMS center is read from the (U)SIM card
automatically; modification is not recommended;
Note: SMS would not work with the wrong SMSC. Contact with the service
provider to get the correct SMSC.
You may select the period in the drop-box, it specifies the validity which
the message would save in the network;
Note: The validity setting of SMS should be supported by the network.

PROFILE MANAGEMENT
You can manage your connection configuration through this.
NETWORK
Network Type
You can choose 3G Preferred, 3G Only and 2G-EDGE Only. The device
will register network according to the selected mode.
Registration Mode
Auto search and register is set as default value;
Select Manual search and register before dialing; available networks
will be listed when finished;
Select an available network and click Register, and then the device will
try to register.
STATISTICS
You can view your data usage under the following classifications.

3. Weekly report
4. Monthly report
5. Yearly report

STATUS
You can check useful device related information like PIN code Status, Signal Strength,
Network code etc.
CONNECTION TYPE
There are two connection types to choose, which are RAS and NDIS.
HELP
Clicking on the icon opens the User Manual.
USSD
Click to enter USSD interface.
You can add, edit, delete, and send USSD operationthe result of send will display on
the edit box.
FAQS
Q1. What shall I do if I cannot connect to the internet?
Ans. Open Settings-> Profile Management and confirm whether the APN information
is right or not. For more details, contact your service provider.

Q2. Why takes so long for installation?
Ans. Depending on different hardware and software specifications, it may take a few
minutes for installation.
Q3. Why can’t I receive the message?
Ans. Please confirm whether the (U)SIM’s SMS memory is full or not.
Q4. Why can’t I register to the Internet?
Ans. Open Settings->Network and check the network settings.
Q5. Why the software doesn’t run automatically when the device is plugged in?
Ans. Run MMX354G 3G Manager from Start menu of the OS (if MMX354G 3G was
installed.)
